  1. Radiocheck... Hi fighters! For a long time we did not get in touch, but all this time the work did not stop. Improving, optimizing, adding, introducing something new - everything we worked on was connected with these words. Today we will show new night lighting and some hangars. The update includes many minor improvements - we made sure that the map is relevant and fresh. So what's most interesting: New lighting technology added. Added right-hand traffic in Cyprus. Map description updated. Added kneeboard (yeah, this fix has long been waiting in the wings) Mission generator updated. Added helicopter landing sites on GUI map. Optimized trees in forest. Simplified trees collisions. Optimized and improved building models. Added objects at road and railroad crossings. Two types of gas stations have been added. Two types of road-side cafes added. Improved cars. Added right-hand drive vehicles. Improved city and field assets. Improved road and railroad assemblies.

  3. Good Morning All. Thanks for the kind words. It shows your human. I hope you all are doing well. Unfortunately, I'm still down but recovering slowly. Trying to regain my strength. Whatever I caught doesn't want to let go. Right now I'm out of sync with modeling ships. It's been really difficult to concentrate with this cold lingering over me. However, I have managed to work on a couple of mods. HMS Albion, HMS Bulwark, and the new UK TYPE 31 Frigate HMS Arrowhead. I think we can soon close out all the UK Ships. These mods have been sitting for close to a year along with many many more models. The USS Lewis Puller is complete. I just need to add the additional 3 liveries. I didn't know there were 5 vessels in her class. One key thing about modeling ships, aircraft, and military vehicles. If you're not focused on modeling. You will soon get distracted and move on to something else. That's exactly what happened in this case. Either way. I'm trying to get back into it!! You all take care. Stay Healthy!!

  4. Only a few updates: the main part of the fuselage UV has been laid out but still needs a load of work, The flight model is feeling 10x better than 2 months ago and is alot closer to real life but you can't really screenshot the way an aircraft flies. Hoping to bring some more updates soon

  5. Hi, any chance of seeing older/more simply mods like the ZPY family and the DShK as AAA? They do not have the glamour of the biggest SAm and the actual AAA, but are still serving, after decades of battles around the world. And will be a amazing addition for both mud movers and helo pilots.

  6. Gents, good evening, I’ve seen many checklists for the Eagle and some very nice and with different styles, but, as usual, I made a Quick Checklist for the F-15E (already on Vs 1.1), but included a very short one for the WSO (specially for the Single Crew ops) with day and night ops options. It is available on the F-15E Quick CheckList User Files Download page. Any feedback is welcome. I hope you like it. All the best, Sydy

  7. Good Afternoon Everyone. I have released the USS Lewis Puller ESB-3 version 1.0.0 with liveries and Captains View Camera. You will need Combat Arms installed to access the Captain's View. Those that are not familiar with it. You can access the Capts view using the Tank Icon in the top left corner in DCS. https://i.postimg.cc/WpXz5Ynn/Screenshot-05-29-2023-10-04-50.png PLEASE PM ME if you have any major technical issues. Enjoy!!

  9. Yeah this is a scaling issue, it looked fine in 3DSMAX, but when exported it has skewed the ramps. I went ahead rebuilt the ramps, so should be even for the next update.

  10. Hello, Just wanted to report that yesterday the Sk-60 Mod was updated to version 1.1. While the developer, @Breadmaker91 is still working on coding a better Flight Model, he has released an interim cosmetic update with the following features: Corrected wing shape to better represent the real aircraft Remodelled interior cockpit walls and floor based on a 3D scan of a real aircraft Remodelled "glare cover" with new textures to better represent the real aircraft Added wheel chocks, ladder and FOD covers (can be applied by telling the ground crew to "Place ground equipment" and is also applied when an AI is set to "start from ramp") Download link: https://github.com/Breadmaker91/DCS-SK60-Mod/releases/tag/v1.1.0 I'm testing it now, to confirm if my training missions still work or not Best regards, Eduardo

  14. Dear ED, Can you please enable in game graphics settings, "ultra" setting for the shadows. It works wonderful and it is not a secret that DCS uses immense VRAM so there is no reason to be shy about applying 8K cascade shadow maps. They look awesome in VR. I have been using them since I had my hands on 4090. But anytime I change in game a graphics setting shadows revert back to off. And I had to restart DCS with correct options lua again. Please do it. It does not even need coding. Just add it to the existing pull down menu. Thanks!.

  16. Download link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3331796/ This is a "showcase" mission for the F-15E. Containing cold and dark startup, lots of F-15E's, close formation flying (as close as you want, for a nice in air view on this mighty machine) both at high and low alt, attacking an ISIL ground target, AAR (can be skipped), and more formation flying back to home plate. The mission is very newcomer friendly. You can basically make it as easy or difficult as you want. If you want, you can just autostart (or hot start if you alter it in the ME) fly, follow your flight lead and observe everything unfold. Or you can do cold and dark startup (by default), go wildly deep into your avionics and TPOD and set the mission to night time (daytime by default). In other words, you can use this mission for practicing basically any skill you like. No user mods required |SITUATION| CJTF-OIR - July 19th 2015 - Incirlik AB Turkey - Raqqa Strike Ever since Aleppo was captured by ISIL, about 3 weeks ago, both the Syrian National Army and the Kurds are fighting against ISIL in an effort to regain control over the city. As usual, the main victims caused by these fights, are the civillians in Aleppo. CJTF observed the situation evolve over the past few weeks and noticed a steady flow of ISIL reinforcements. Vehicles and weapons are brought in by trains from Raqqa (Raqqa itself being under firm ISIL control). Although controvercial, as the attack might cause high collateral impact, CJTF decided to approve an airstike on the Raqqa logistics rail station in the heart of Raqqa city. Together with three of your squadron members, you are assigned to this task. The plan is to surprise the enemy air defenses at Raqqa. Four of your fellow sqn members (BRAWLER flight) will conduct an airstrike on ISIL targets at Aleppo, while your flight (PYRO) will initially stay in Turkish airspace, in an attempt to divert any possible enemy EWR attention from us to BRAWLER flight. You will follow your flight lead and eventually ingress at low altitude into Syria, in order to try and keep the element of surprise. Once ±20nm out from your target, your flight will pop-up to above 10.000ft (in order to stay out of MANPADS and AAA range), spread out and conduct the airstrike. Make sure to follow your flight lead's (PYRO21) orders. You are element lead (PYRO23) |OBJECTIVE| Your objective is to destroy the vehicle depot (North West building). Study the mission briefing slides carefully, to make sure you know your fragged target and your final attack heading*. (*player may choose a different attack heading as desired) |INTEL| Intel shows that ISIL in Raqqa city has a relatively dense air defense system set up. Containing moving AAA units, MANPADS and they even got their hands on old Russian mobile SAM systems. Mission creator notes: - Semi-automated COMMS (you'll have to tune to the correct radio channels to hear the audio, just like irl)(for AAR and landing, regular DCS comms are still needed) - Player selectable difficulty (easy, medium, or hard) at mission start - Player selectable mission aids (ON/OFF) at mission start - Real life chatter (once cleared by departure and only if you tune to CH10 on PRI) - Incirlik ATIS (CH20 on AUX) - Mission specific kneeboard - Free to change time of day and weather as desired (daytime by default, but the Mudhen loves the night) - Free to change loadout and/or attack type as desired. Unguided, guided (by TPOD and/or radar), kamikaze (although not advised), or just watch your wingman do everything. - Proper fourship AAR procedure (left wing, connect, right wing). Not required and can be skipped by the player (only added because AAR is awesome) - Mission duration ~1,5 to 2 hours (without time acceleration) Although not tested, this mission should work in MP (pilot + WSO). No "press spacebar" triggers are used. Don't hesitate to give feedback Edit: Apparently, AI/mission behavior in MP is different from AI behavior in SP. Multiplayer AI unfortunately breaks the taxi and take off sequence in my mission and is therefore not advised

  25. In a sense, the Strike Eagle is the closest alternative to the F-14D: it has multicrew, air-to-ground capability, updated avionics (INS, later datalink, GPS, databus), they weight almost the same, and the APG-71 is based on the APG-70, and so on. But The cockpit workflow is vastly different, its primary purpose is different, there is no AIM-54, it is not carrier-based, it has no integrated sensors (e.g. TCS/IRST), it seems to accelerate better, but has lower top speed (but it may be due to the EA status), and many other differences. Personally, it also lacks the charisma, so to speak, of many Navy aircraft, but this is a personal opinion, of course. So Can you mock an F-14D with a SE? Yeah-almost-ish. But it is a poor man's option in this context. The SE seems to be a really nice module, it's worth getting it if you like it. Shameless video plug:

  26. I'm in the process of adding Sinai and South Atlantic to the databases and fixing Nevada and persian Gulf. This way we can control the Keywords used a little better rather than relying on Auto-Import Theaters. Next will be adding Marianas and tiding up the code structure of the databases.

  28. I'll be making "Wee-Willie" B-17G-15-BO, LG-W, 42-31333, 322nd BS, 91st BG(H), 8th AF "The Mighty Eigth". At first I thought I'd try and find the most complicated, prettiest livery to make. I have decided instead to make this aircraft. After reading about the brave souls who were lost aboard her on April 8th, 1945, I feel compelled to paint her. I got a little choked up when I was reading their fate. She did 127 missions and during research I found out she was in one of the most iconic photos of the time. It is a sad one to look at but there we are. The last mission, 128, was when they all perished. "Wee Willie was the oldest B-17G still in service with the 91st Bomb Group, and the next to last B-17 lost to enemy action by the group before cessation of hostilities. The War in Europe came to an end with the unconditional surrender of Germany just 30 days later, 7 May 1945." - Bryan Swopes RIP Brothers, we have the watch. 1st Lieutenant Robert E. 32. I put together some simple procedural kneeboards for the F-15E, placed in the User Files section. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3331735/ As stated, these are not official procedures, just what I've put together as a quick reminder on how to employ various weapons on the F-15E (after not flying it for a while, or in this case, it's new). Kneeboards included: F-15ESE - AIR-TO-AIR ACM AIM-9.png F-15ESE - AIR-TO-AIR BVR ACM AIM-120-1.png F-15ESE - AIR-TO-AIR BVR ACM AIM-120-2.png F-15ESE - CBU-97 CDIP TPOD-LN-1.png F-15ESE - CBU-97 CDIP TPOD-LN-2.png F-15ESE - GBU-12 TPOD-LN-1.png F-15ESE - GBU-12 TPOD-LN-2.png F-15ESE - GBU-38 WMM TPOD-LN-1.png F-15ESE - GBU-38 WMM TPOD-LN-2.png F-15ESE - GBU-38 WMM UFC COORDS-1.png F-15ESE - GBU-38 WMM UFC COORDS-2.png F-15ESE - UPDATING PACS AFTER REARMING.png F-15ESE - USING UFC TO CREATE MARK POINTS FOR TPOD.png The F-15E Strike Eagle kneeboards need to be placed in the F-15E Kneeboard folder, for example: C:\Users\<your name>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Kneeboard\F-15ESE Enjoy! 34. Based on my one conversation with a strike pilot... "There's never been a knot of airspeed the Strike Eagle couldn't bleed" or something to that effect. It was designed to be a bomb truck that can self escort with an amazing radar and excellent BVR capability. Not designed to get into a turning fight.
