We'll see, depending on how many assets I want to add. But I might release an update pretty soon, and then continue to add assets to the China pack, as I have plenty more to add. Probably not as ED is making the F-35. The files in the zip should overwrite the core files (that's why it can't go in the saved games folder). If you don't get an overwrite warning, they aren't in the correct place. This is the folder where they are located on my drive: F:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit10 points

To me, the really funny part is to observe all the criticism when a developer, say ED, releases a new aircrat (Chinook) without finishing their previous ones (Mi-24P and AH-64) ... which I feel is totally deserved, while at the same time on this thread, other users clamor for exactly that: please Aerges, stop working on the Mirage F1 and deliver the F-104 right now ...5 points

Absolutely, donations are always very appreciated, since I still purchase a lot of models which will go into the mod packs.4 points

Anything is possible, but as I describe in the FAQ, the assets added to the DCS core Currenthill Assets Pack need to meet a certain criteria as we try to make them as true to life as possible. For example, this means there has to be some sort of available specifications to the weapons added. But the general approach is that we have an open mind when choosing assets to include. This is also the reason I will keep working on the mod packs on the side, as I'll be able to add assets that doesn't fully meet the criteria.4 points

My best friend's uncle's hair dresser's sister's roommate once bumped into a guy at Burning Man who said that his boss's boyfriend's son found out that we're totally getting an F-15SE.4 points

In this post a M. developer stated that they are waiting for bridle support from ED. Might take a while Meantime I split the Skyraider in two configs, an AD-4 Skyraider without bridle, and an A-1H Skyraider with bridle mechanimation. Testing is currently ongoing. Stay tuned, hopefully we find time for a release of Vietnam War Vessels 2.0.0 later this month.3 points

@YoYo, the full path to the Doc folder is "D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\campaigns\OH-58D - Through the desert dust\Doc". I also tried placing it in "C:\Users\Cubicle\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\campaigns" but this did not change anything. At least, with the fixed entry.lua, the authorisation error message is gone. When I place the campaign folder in "C:\Users\Cubicle\Saved Games\DCS\Missions\Campaigns\en", I can see the campaign description and image. But clicking OK doesn't start the campaign. I can see the throbber for a short amount of time and then nothing. EDIT: @YoYo, I found the issue. The first mission requires the Marianas map to be installed. Without the map you get no clear error message. It's just not working. Perhaps you can update the manual or the description to let people know.3 points

Niche stick that at least started to fall in sales. Like typical market stuff. No reason to believe it would not be compatible with the FFB base. The Virpil sticks all use the same connector to connect to their current bases.3 points

Not sure yet, but as it's a separate asset from the other HIMARS (and not only a weapon option, since that's hard to do in DCS), I might just keep it. My idea is to remove redundant/duplicated assets.3 points

thank you so much, I just became aware of this Campaign … at hoggit of all places!! it’s been a while since I last flew at the Persian Gulf, thus should be a really nice detour from my usual missions, thanks a lot for sharing it for free .. it’s a truly nice gesture. Cheers! Eduardo3 points

It should be on release. Only things I see for early access are datalink and manual and “IFF advanced” what ever that is. Since there are no IFF codes to dial, your transponder code is purely for ATC and the other IFF switches only effect what information is seen by other ground radars like P-15 and ATC.3 points

The multiplayer gear issue is not an easy fix. We absolutely had no issues in MP before testing began. When testing started, there were still no issues, even right up to the final build at release. Not every bug will be seen and/or created until mass (mass as in 100-1000 users) tests occur sometimes.3 points

Dear all, thank you for your interest and your questions regarding DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum. To address the most common questions and concerns, we have created this FAQ. We hope it will set expectations for this exciting module. What Variant is the DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum? The 9.12A export version of the aircraft. It is primarily based on the MiG-29A flight manual that is available on Amazon.com. Why not a more advanced MiG-29 version like the 9.13, SMT, etc.? The MiG-29A is what we have an abundance of references materials on and SME feedback. Currently, the required public information for the more advanced MiG-29 versions is not available. You said you could not do Russian Aircraft, what changed? While Russian aircraft pose their own challenges due to availability of public information, the export version of the MiG-29A provides us the unique references to model this 4th generation Russian aircraft at a full-fidelity level. Is this just adding a clickable cockpit to the Flaming Cliffs MiG-29? While this will include a fully interactive cockpit, there is much more to this module. Including but not limited to a complete modelling of the systems, sensor, and weapons simulation, in-depth modelling of flight control systems, defensive systems, IFF, GCI datalink, radios, emergency systems, INS navigation system, DTC options, and much more to provide a full-fidelity simulation. The cockpit and external model are also new and based on scanning. New effects will also be included like new afterburner and over-wing/LEX vapor effects. See the feature list below. Will I get a discount for owning the FC MiG-29 or full FC package? No, this is a new module in all ways and is separate from the Flaming Cliffs version. Will the FM be improved from the Flaming Cliffs version? The FM on the FC: MiG-29 was already a PFM (Professional Flight Model) and we are very happy with it. What missiles will the DCS: MiG-29A be able to use? The current planned missiles are R-73, R-60, R-27R, R-27T, R-27ER, and R-27ET. How much is the DCS: MiG-29A? During Pre-purchase, you can save 30% on this module. Once it is released and in Early Access, there will be a 20% discount. Once the final version is released, it will be full-priced at $79.99 USD. When will the module be released? DCS: MiG-29A is planned for early access release in 2025. We will provide a more specific date once it is closer to early access complete and carefully tested. Will there be a pre-order on Steam? Steam requires a firm release date for a pre-purchase. Once we have this, we will contact Valve about a Steam pre-purchase option. What will we get with the DCS: MiG-29A? The following is the current feature list for this module. Early Access features Fully interactive and highly detailed cockpit based on 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry. Highly detailed and accurately reproduced external model. Highly detailed pilot model with HMS. In-depth modelling of aircraft systems and equipment. Navigation System modes: POINT-TO-POINT mode for flying along a given route and flying to a programmed point; RETURN mode for performing a return to one of the three programmed airfields; LANDING mode for landing at both programmed and non-programmed airfields; and TRAFFIC RE-ENTRY mode for performing a re-approach to a programmed airfield in case of go around. Detailed model of the Gyro Systems with Fast and Long Alignment modes and onboard navigation equipment. The ability to program three airfields, three RSBN radio navigation beacons, and three navigation points during the mission creation phase and while flying the mission. Realistic modelling of the SPO-15LM “Beryoza” radar warning receiver and flare dispenser system. Fire Control Radar (FCR) with search and tracking modes for air targets that include HEAD ON, PURSUIT, AUTOMAT, TWF and CLOSE COMBAT modes. Infrared Search and Track (IRST) and Laser Range Finder (LRF) with modes for air targets: INFRARED (IR), CLOSE COMBAT, HELMET, OPTICAL (OPT) and Boresight. LRF can be used to measure the target range with automatic IRST tracking. LRF can also be used to measure slant range for ground attacks. Ground attack modes that include Pre-Designate OPT for use with moving targets and in windy conditions; Non-Predesignate OPT for use with stationary targets and in calm conditions; and TOSS when bombing is conducted with a 110–130-degree pitch angle. To expand the combat capabilities for a covert attack on an aerial target and counter electronic countermeasures, the interaction of the FCR and IRSTS/LRF has been modelled. The Kinematic Range Determination Method (KRDM) has been modelled for FCR and IRSTS/LRF. In the absence of target range data, this method provides precise range measurement. Basic Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) modelling. Early Access Guide. Interactive Training missions. Full Russian cockpit and localization of avionics, cockpit and technical inscriptions in English. At Final Release: Ground Control Intercept (GCI) command system. Full IFF modelling. Full Flight Manual. Campaign by Eagle Dynamics. Increased number of missions and liveries. What is the difference between Basic and Full IFF modelling? Basic IFF simply distinguishes Friend or Foe based on coalition settings in the game. A more advanced IFF simulation will come later based on specific transponder codes, with more details to follow. What is the Ground Control Intercept (GCI) command system? This system aids in guiding the aircraft to targets via commands sent from Ground Control Intercept systems. As the system develops, we will have more information and detailed instructions on how to use it. Is ground support equipment like engine covers planned? Yes, we are already working on several pieces of MiG-29A support equipment like covers and ladders. Will we see any tutorial videos? Yes, Wags will do videos on all aspects of the DCS: MiG-29A as we get closer to release. You may ask questions you would like to see added to the MiG-29A and added to the FAQ here . We thank you for all the support you have shown us and the passion that drives you all to keep pushing us to do our best and release the very best products we can. The ED Team2 points

Fighter wing Skrydstrup is situated in the southeren part of the danish peninsula of jylland, where two squadrons of F-16AM´s are based atm. one of the squadrons are actievly being refittet with the F-35A for future capabilites and being intergrated into multidomain operations. The Danish bases of Skrydstrup and Flyvestation Aalborg served as the primary bases for Danish F-16s during the Cold War. They played an important role as NATO’s gateway to the Baltics. Denmark purchased 77 F-16s, which were organized into four squadrons—two at each base. At Aalborg, ESK-723 and ESK-726 were the first squadrons to be upgraded to AMLU standards. Later, the older F-16As at Skrydstrup were either sold or scrapped. The Danish Defense decided to move all remaining Danish F-16s to Skrydstrup, thereby assigning ESK-727 and ESK-730 the newer, upgraded F-16s—aircraft that had already seen deployment in the Balkans in the late 1990s. Video from mid 2000 of Skrydstrup (only in danish) Fighter Wing Skrydstrup has been around since World War II and was originally built by the Germans, who called it Fliegerhorst Hadersleben. During the Cold War, the base was upgraded to NATO standards by the Danish Defense, enabling it to accommodate both American-supplied aircraft and the older F-35 (Swedish Draken). Today, the base features a combination of old and new HAS (Hardened Aircraft Shelters) across the airfield. The Danish F-16AMs have been a crucial part of Baltic air defense, with the Danish QRA (AVB – Afvisningsberedskabet) on standby 24/7, 365 days a year. Whenever Russian or unidentified aircraft approach Danish airspace—most often near the island of Bornholm, which is included in Phase 2—interceptors are launched to respond. Skrydstrup also acts as a host nation airbase during training exercises like Ramstein, which brings foreign aircraft such as Gripens and F-18s from Hungary, Sweden, and Finland to operate from this strategically located base—a key choke point in the Baltic Sea. I truly hope that Ugra Media will be able to recreate this airbase in the same way they did with Soesterberg Air Base maneuver. If they include this airfield, I would definitely hope that Ugra will also add the Rømø Shooting Range, located on one of the islands just west of the airfield. Rømø serves as a training area for the Royal Danish Air Force, supporting air-to-air combat (dogfighting), air-to-ground exercises, and other operational activities. (fun fact we had an F-16AM pilot eject from his plane over Rømø island. youtube: HED ejection) Really hope this can happen and Ugra sees this truly Pingodingo2 points

You need to be 1/2 flaps (full also probably prevents this, but 1/2 is proper way to do it) for land or carrier takeoff. If you forget and it starts doing a rocket to the moon imitation just flip flaps to 1/2 and back to AUTO and it will give you control back.2 points

Keep in mind Bearcat was a very highly specialized one trick pony, fantastic at point interception task but mediocre or downright bad at everything else, with flimsy structure and low G-limits taking the cake. Sturdy and proven Corsairs with greater payload and range were simply better all-around warplanes for any hard and dirty job. There's a reason they were in active service up till early '60s.2 points

Ok, finally got it! I was so focused on running in VR that I did not think to make adjustments with VR turned off! So, as a VR only user, the procedure that worked for me to create/populate a saved games, DCS, config, view, SnapViews.lua file was as follows: Launch DCS World in flat screen mode, VR not running. Select an aircraft and spawn in on the ground. In my case the TF-51D. Go to the cockpit view settings for the selected aircraft. Note the move camera keys and the save cockpit angles key. Go back into cockpit view for the selected aircraft and use the move camera keys to alter the pilot/seat position. Then save new position using the save cockpit angles key. Close DCS World and open and check the users, name, saved games, DCS, config, view, SnapViews.lua file. The file should now appear and be populated with DCS aircraft type details all listed in type alphabetical order. As a VR only user of DCS I had not realise that the SnapViews.lua file could only be created/populated by actions in non-VR mode. Although I had used the SnapViews.lua file on my previously installed version of DCS World with VR, I had also previously used it in flat screen mode with TrackIR prior to moving over to VR; so I had taken it for granted that the file would be there no matter what. Thanks to everyone who helped me work through this. Happy landings, Talisman2 points

You can indeed play this campaign in multiplayer, but at the risk of something breaking or not being synchronized. You don’t need to edit anything; just launch the mission you want to fly in multiplayer, and it will automatically set the player and copilot slot to client. It’s very important that both the pilot and copilot slots are occupied and that you are both spawned in the cockpit with textures loaded before the host unpauses the mission!2 points

Yes, that's how it works. I mentioned a circle before, but that's wrong, it's a dot. The circle, vertical and horizontal lines on the analysis display are inscribed, but there is a dot that represents the position of the targeted signal, the aim of which is to place inside the circle. The aiming dot also appears on the pilots gunsight.2 points

Exactly, so you can use the F1M pretty much anywhere you like. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the F-104C isn't anywhere near a believable flight model. It's thrust and lift performance are too good, the roll-response is way too little, the engine-response is way too bad and it's got systems issues all over the place. All of that is normal for a mod and it probably will at least partially be corrected in future iterations. It's not on par with my expectations for the Aerges 104. I don't think so. People who enjoy systems-depth will not be repelled by the mod being out before the module. If you're on the fence, you'll be able to use the trial system at some time and decide whether the diference is worth your cash or not. I'll buy the Aerges 104 right at launch. I'll most probably keep the 104C alongside the Aerges 104 - if it gets better. It fills a slightly different niche than the 104G and it's a 'nam bird.2 points

It depends on how you fly. But if you mainly fly multiplayer, the fact that the train isn't synchronized doesn't make you want to fly, or make videos.2 points

Please give the team time to look at all of the feedback and make the tweaks they need to, the module has just been released. This patch will have been to soon to add stuff to, it takes weeks to test updates, and the whole of DCS and that happens well in advance. So please be patient updates will come when the dev team are ready. thank you2 points
