  1. I know it was almost a month ago but just to answer your question tovivan, Helios shows exported instrument data on a second screen, and allows for various buttons and switches to be interactive through either your mouse, or via your touch screen monitor. The screenshots you see of Helios are what you would see on your second monitor, ideally placed below your main monitor. P.S. It's awesome, and both Gadroc (the creator) and those such as Capt Zeen (who create these profiles for Helios) deserve a huge amount of praise. Well done guys!
  2. Can't wait to try this out. Holding off on starting the Ultimate Argument campaign until this is ready :)
  3. Yeah, it's always worth a search first: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=143906 You might want to try some of the suggestions from this thread, roll back, or wait until Saitek deliver the goods,
  4. Unfortunately I have to agree. I don't want to because I would love to see (and buy) more DCS level aircraft but the sad fact is that I, and many others out there, do not have the time to learn and fly them all. I'm not saying they shouldn't be made, far from it, I'm just saying that the FC level aircraft certainly have their place.
  5. Let me know how you get on as i haven't made the leap on my desktop yet for this very reason! :-)
  6. Not being rude but you might be better off joining those threads, rather than starting a new one. I was going to link you to them anyway! Either try the older Saitek drivers (some have had luck with v6) or wait for new Win10 drivers (which Saitek/Madcatz say are on the way).
  7. Zimmerdylan, you might want to check out this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=143906 Some X52 Pro users have had luck with older drivers and SST software. I haven't yet made the leap to Win10 on my desktop, due to issues such as this but it's installed on my laptop and I'm slowly getting used to it; I guess I quite like it.
  8. What if you enabled TrackIR's precision mode while you were zoomed? Not exactly what you asked for but should work.
  9. Guys, try this little known but blinding fix: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=96698 Sorry for the off topic, as you were.
  10. Are you using the Saitek software to map your buttons? And you say it works elsewhere (for example in Notepad it's like holding a key)? I wonder if the same symptoms are occuring on the X52...?
  11. Dxtory can record a section of your screen (eg just your main view). It can also record separate audio streams, for example your mic, your headset and your speakers; I find this handy when recording multi-player and Teamspeak or Skype.
  12. Although I haven't bought much from the site, I was certainly planning to buy more in future. Hope it's a temporary glitch!
  13. Now that sounds more like it! Seriously though, I firmly believe that a profile should be your own, as it will more suit your style of flying and will be easier to remember if created yourself. DCS does create a very basic profile for you but I can't see there ever being a default profile, for all aircraft, for any of the many popular flight peripherals available.
  14. Sounds like you need to join this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81719
  15. Would be nice to have a 4k monitor but bear in mind that this won't solve the problem, whereas enabling vsync or limiting frames to 60 will. Also note, as already mentioned, that there's little point in running at over 60 fps if your monitor is running at 60 hz, so you're not missing out by limiting the fps in either of the ways stated.
  16. 27 inch LG monitor @ 1920x1080. Haven't been considering an upgrade, until I looked at this thread... Also got a 22 inch Samsung @ 1680x1050 for Thrustmaster MFCD's and Helios, and a small 14 inch old Dell, just to show Teamspeak/Skype/Winamp.
  17. Excellent work Devrim and good timing too; I was just looking for an Su-27 English cockpit mod, and see you've made one! Thanks, very handy links.
  18. From the first post on what DCS2 will bring: Dynamic shadowing of the terrain and mountains.
  19. Agree. Thanks Matt. Edit: And ignore the idiots on the chat feed (Mizzy just reminded me).
  20. I've set up bands on that slider so the very top and bottom relate to button presses (extend/retract speed brake) the rest is neutral, or no button press. Let us know how you get on, I can talk through how to do this if need be.
  21. I always find creating my own profile for an aircraft helps me to more easily remember what each button does, and it is tailored more to suit my needs. Should you decide to go down this route, I have created a printable template for the X52 Pro, so you can make a note of your button assignments: showthread.php?t=119086
  22. Have you tried stopping by the Virtual Aerobatics server? Get on their Teamspeak channel, you'll soon find someone (Pman would be a good place to start). Check out their website too: http://www.virtual-aerobatics.com/
  23. X52 Pro in the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still:
  24. The day my half meg upgrade died was a sad day.
  25. Not even close to being a simulator but mine was Ace of Aces on the Atari 800XL: It was the Atari ST that got me into sims though (still only games really); mostly F19 Stealth Fighter, F29 Retaliator, Fighter Bomber, Flight of the Intruder and of course Falcon. For 2 player action you couldn't beat Skychase:
