  1. One thing to keep in mind is that the DEFA cannon on the Mirage is a 30mm, versus the M61 on the Hornet which is only 20mm. The other thing to consider is the type of ammunition you have loaded on the Hornet, as there are different selections for gun ammo (HEI, HEI-T, SAPHEI, AP, etc).
  2. The amount of rounds for the gun pod is determined by the pod that's loaded (i.e. M3P100 is 100 rounds, M3P200 is 200 rounds, etc). The different M3P pods definitely have different weights. The 'Gun Ammo' slider in the rearming menu (or the percentage in the editor) controls the amount of rounds for the M4.
  3. @Lord Vader Regarding the RWR, I think they're referencing the dimming of the ALR control panel below the MPCD, not necessarily the azimuth indicator.
  4. From what I can tell, landing and taking back off seems to reset the weapon profile without updating the STORES display. From my own testing, de-selecting and re-selecting the weapon updates all the of the settings (MODE, MFUZ, EFUZ, DRAG, etc) to go back to default, which would cross the weapon out.
  5. An older discussion regarding this can be found here:
  6. VT1 and VT2 symbology appears to be reversed, check this:
  7. From my own testing, I've found that the symbology calculations for VT1 and VT2 are seemingly reversed (only had time to test the FMU-140 on the CBU-99). In the attached screenshots you can see (from Active Pause) that the impact points are exactly where the cluster lands, but according to the opposite setting.
  8. Is GHS your acquisition source?
  9. Is this in the back seat or the front seat?
  10. Do you have a TGT point designated?
  11. Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Missions\QuickStart, specifically IA-Hornet-CAP.miz You can check the quickstart.lua which gives the mission names with their associated .miz files.

Are you sure this isn't some leftover from a mod? Those aren't present in my installation (no mods).
  13. Already requested, you've posted in this thread before:
  14. This is correct. The #4 aircraft usually flies in the tail position in the diamond formation, leading to the tail becoming extremely dirty due to the exhaust from #1. To resolve this, they painted the tail black so it wouldn't look as dirty all the time due to the constant need to keep it cleaned. https://www.twz.com/40784/heres-the-story-behind-the-thunderbirds-black-tailed-f-4-phantom
  15. @buceador He means it was recorded from the F1 cockpit view, the camera was repositioned to be over the shoulder with the pilot model enabled.
  16. Ensure Cursor Zero (CZ) is performed before navigation. Slewing a SPI with any sensor applies that slew delta to the entire database, and must be zeroed out.
  17. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought to do this!
  18. The ICLS system on the Hornet (AN/ARA-63A) operates from 15.412 GHz to 15.688 GHz.
  19. There's already a Wishlist item for this:
  20. Already reported:
  21. Call ground crew and ask them to remove the NVGs (a filter is placed over some of the lights in the cockpit to prevent washout).
  22. Set George to select no weapon, and you have access to a lasing option.
  23. The 'LOW' mnemonic should appear to the right side of flight path marker if the aircraft's release parameters are suboptimal for weapon delivery (and if the aircraft is less than 10 seconds to the release point in order to keep the HUD decluttered). The mnemonic can also appear if the aircraft's altitude is insufficient for the current weapon's fuze settings (primarily regarding arming time and release point less than 10 seconds away).
