AN/AAQ-33 (Sniper pod) vs. other pods in DCS
Furiz replied to Gierasimov's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I'm sure that we will not get the latest version of the pod. We don't know which version we are getting and will it have full features. -
That reminds me when Chuck Norris once chased 2 guys, and on the crossroads one guy goes left and the other guy goes right, Chuck follows both of them

Where to look for the "most current" procedures and workarounds?
Furiz replied to Razor18's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Yes it should, every change in game should be followed by manual that way it is easier to update F-16 manual, For example SNIPER pod, when it is ready, should be added with manual update about SNIPER pod as well. -
Hi, TGP in CCIP mode is looking at the CCIP pipper

I disagree, being inclusive wont attract more females to this sim, cause if they are not interested in military aircraft sim and gaming you really have a tough job. Imagine there is some forum mostly used by female members of our society with topics like fashion or fingernails (just mentioning stuff on top of my head, hope no one gets offended) and they decide to be more inclusive to male members of our society, you think that would interest me for example? I can tell you right now it wont, and they can be as inclusive as they want I'm not gonna discuss anything in that forum. People are trying too hard to be as politically correct as they can that they don't see the big picture, they are throwing them selves over their heads to be politically correct... happens in all aspects of the society and it is not something good cause it usually neglects whats important just to to stand out. I really don't see the point of more females in the sim, I don't mind them here off course but I don't see the point if they are not interested. In this sim I want people of any gender and race that are interested in military simulation, if that means 99% male Asians, or 99% female Mexicans I really don't see a problem there, I'm interested in the sim and that's enough for me.

FPS drops and mouse movement causing stutter
Furiz replied to ExGreyFox's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Please fix this asap -
Hey, you will get much better effect if you boresight in the air. It is very easy to do it also, I use ground radar find anything bright on the map, it is usually some small settlement, get my cursor there and switch to TGP rest is normal procedure.

DCS F-16C Early Access, what's left, what's next.
Furiz replied to RyanR's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
F-16 basically didn't make a step forward in some time and as we can see from this thread many of its systems are not finished or even touched, it's manual is not updated since 11 July 2023, I'm sorry to say but that is not really encouraging. -
not a bug What is up with the gear lever?
Furiz replied to LastRifleRound's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
It is build in failure in the mission, just play through it and it will be fine, no bug. Also check if enabled and disable Easy Comms. -
Cruise missiles can be seen on F-16 radar, I even shot one down. Smaller AA missiles I think not.
-
After I wrote my post I noticed easy comms mentioned in the thread, so I went to check it out and it was enabled. I never have it enabled so I didn't even think of that, mst be that the game enabled it somehow with latest updates. Anyways gonna try the mission again later. Thanks

Just happened to me too, used CBU to blew up the mortars and trucks, destroyed them but my wingman calls no joy and circles endlessly.

incorrect alignment HUD completly off - Mission: King of the Hill
Furiz replied to PlaceboC6's topic in Bugs and Problems
No problem, this way I learn too You can do STOR alignment to save time, its done pretty fast and you don't have to re enter any coordinates. But I guess if you do Auto Startup then don't touch anything except wait:) -
incorrect alignment HUD completly off - Mission: King of the Hill
Furiz replied to PlaceboC6's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hey @PlaceboC6, I have to correct myself, I don't do auto start but when I tried it I noticed it now confirms coordinates, anyways please read he manual first when you have issues cause it can help a lot. You didn't do the alignment properly, you have to wait till ALIGN on the HUD starts flashing and RDY on the DED flashes as well. Then you have proper alignment, all described in the manual. I did the same mission with auto start and waited till it was flashing, all is good. Cant believe in 2 years flying this sim you still have issues with alignment. Here is my track: F16 do proper alignment.trk -
incorrect alignment HUD completly off - Mission: King of the Hill
Furiz replied to PlaceboC6's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hey @PlaceboC6 I saw your track, didn't notice you re enter the coordinates in first 2 min of the alignment which is necessary when doing Normal alignment which is being done when auto starting the jet cause the auto sequence wont do that on its own. So it needs to be done to get a proper alignment, after that the HUD will function just fine. Page 172 and 173 of DCS F-16C Early Access Guide describes that process. -

Already been discussed and the dead horse died gazillion times already.

Attack multiple targets at once by using GBU-38
Furiz replied to Kiseki_Yu's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Hey, F-16 doesn't have similar function like F-18 where you store coordinates in each bomb, but instead you can create mark points with TGP for example or make steerpoints in mission editor or in the jet, then when dropping the bombs you need to switch those points. -
That would indeed be useful, and really not something hard to add.
-
Hey, Perform proper alignment of the aircraft, then set MIDS LVT knob to ON, on the ICP press LIST > ENTER to get to Data Link NET STATUS page and press 1 on the ICP - NET STATUS page to turn GPS TIME - ON. And that's it. If you still have problems please post a short track showing the issue so we can see what is going on.
-
This would be great to have, currently we can not reference the laser code we used on our bombs when loading weapons.

need track replay Steerpoint showing incorrect distance
Furiz replied to antiload's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes, slewing your sensors will create offset from the STPT, so that offset has to be zeroized to show proper data and that is done by pressing CZ or cursor zero.
