currently some users are updating to 2.1 then it tells them to revert to 2.0.5 which it shouldn't ed are looking into it

 

if it is updating to 1.5 something is wrong usually the result of messing with your autoupdate.cfg

 

Yep, they deleted some files to get the update, now they can't even install 2.0

My log keeps saying: Got reply from srv9update.digitalcombatsimulator.com, and when looking at the URL, it says that 2.1 is available, but the updater doesn't grab it...

Stop screwing around with files, or making duplicate installs. Just wait for the updater to give it to you unless you don't already have a 2.x install.

Yep, going through normal channel here - figure if it isn't available there yet, not ready for me yet. I sure ain't going to risk my current install to try and get it just a little quicker.

In the game's main root folder I deleted autoupdate.cfg and now it's downloading !

If you read back a few pages, several of us have already tried that. I even tried using the command prompt with the new version number and it says it isn't available yet. The problem is most likely with certain ED update servers. One possibility is that they've uploaded the new installation, but the PHP update script still points to 2.0.5.3889.199 as the latest version when queried. Another possibility is that someone tried to put on the new version but put 2.0.x.xxxx.xxx instead of 2.1.x.xxxx.xxx

Best Advice right now is to NOT Monkey with and play with files to force an update and wait for the Servers to all finish rolling out the update.

 

Deleting/Editing Files to Force it to see an update will cause problems. Let the Updater and the System work as it's supposed to, don't fiddle with it, the end result might cause you to start over completely.

Ok, now the updater offered me the updare to 2.1, but when I clicked yes. I got a message "Servers are unable to complete your request. Please, try again later."

 

As far as I know, this should be srv4
