Many thanks for new fog and SC directors - we got major update in both the looks and functionality :thumbup:

Pity you didn't listen though and spell broke quickly when my aircraft went instant 180 after parking, ugh. Not a thing you'd expect in a simulator.

The new fog effect is awesome, I also reverted the SSAO option to enhance the realism.

The new deck vrew is awesome, this was a really significant addition.

And many thanks also for the SC operation guide and updating the DCS manual.

For me, I think I have constantly run over the second SC director in F-14 en route the catapult.

Maybe placebo, but has the new fog also enhanced the clouds ?

-Note I have only tested in VR.

Mi-8 has multicrew for a while (something like a year).

BTW, I'd like to see at least graphical update for her too.

It seems the list we were given for the Mirage F1 isnt correct, I will be editing the list soon.

Tested DCS yesterday and it looks brilliant. SC deck crew also make so much fun. Thank you ED for the good work.

 

However, I noticed yesterday two tings:

  • During an F18 campaign in Syria, the mission started at sunrise. I was surprised to see a bright spot in front of the mountains in the east. It turned out to be the reflection of the sun in the fog, which should have been blocked by the mountain because the sun was still below the mountain range (but its image was visible in the fog in front of the mountains). Unfortunately, I didn't make a track for this, but I would like to mention it here anyway.
  • Furthermore, the F5 nearest AC button no longer works for me. Has something been changed in the basic settings?

Have you checked your settings? DCS options > misc.

Some missions may override it.

About reflections - I found they are way overdone - meaning they reflect more light than the source provide. Same is true for afterburners and other lights' reflections.

corrected Mirage F1 changelog in first post, update post, and main website.
 

DCS Mirage F1 by Aerges

Systems:

  • Fixed vertical gyroscope autoerect function not working.

Radio and navigation:

  • F1BE: Green radio function selector is now switched only at the forward seat panel during startup/shut down macros execution, disregarding the currently occupied seat.

Input:

  • F1BE Radio Selector Unit MIS, TAC, and VOR potentiometers now work with the corresponding axes input.

Textures and 3D models:

  • Improved nose and main gear texture.
  • Improved Alkan Corail Pod texture.
  • Updated Cambrai Livery for F1C and F1C-200.
  • Some weapons textures were updated.

As you can see in my fog comparison video, too. At first, I thought it were the reflection of the taxi light...

I think the new members of the deck crew could do with a little more life when they are not engaged. Currently they are standing like statues on Spice. The orginal deck crew elements have a little more behavioural movement to them.  Rigidly staring off into space 20ft from the jets of a full afterburning F18 on the cat does not feel authentic.

The 180 Flip is also not endearing. As others have said, maybe be a cut fade whilst in the pit but Im not sure how that would work in extenal or with AI. Perhaps go back to the original invisible tractors or reverse gears for now until they come along at some point in the distant future.

Maybe its also time to revisit the Deck Crew for the Forrestal with HB to (something that seemed to evaporate around the time SC was announced).  Especially given the SC is very much hornet centric.  Perhaps tie their appearance to owning the F14 if feature freeloading is a concern.
