Something has changed. You can notice that Wags stopped using EDGE acronym

I just think they are trying to avoid infringing on trademarks. Name does not matter anyway. It's the product that is important.

Unbelievable detail, stunning pics. Thanks for posting.

If that second pic is a clickable cockpit with full detailed flight model.......blimey!!!!

I'm wondering if the existing modules are going to get a work over to make them look even better in the "new rendering system"?

System :-

i7-12700K 3.6 GHz 12 core, ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming, 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz, 24GB Asus ROG Strix Geforce RTX 3090, 1x 500GB Samsung 980 PRO M.2, 1x 2TB Samsung 980 PRO M.2, Corsair 1000W RMx Series Modular 80 Plus Gold PSU, Windows 10. These news pics look amazing. I'm really looking forward to the new rendering system and I hope it fixes my performance issues with DCS currently.

I think that is the caucasus, but the second pic has some strangle on the up section of the pic, weather disapear and show the sea?

What mountains is that? Nevada?

pretty sure it's georgia - no those high mountains in nevada

I'd say Georgia.

On the second picture (looking outside the cockpit), at the top (left...ish) there is water - the Black Sea. The snow covered mountain tops that stick out of the clouds must be the Caucasus.

Although ... funny thing is, behind the mountains, over russia, there is suddenly no cloud cover anymore? Small LoD glitch ("WIP")?

edit: while thinking about it, what I saw as water ... might be the same LoD glitch?

this is the old overcast plain clouds (cloud density 9 and 10 in the sim), therefore no volumetric clouds (those are up to 8 in cloud density setting or in the dynamic weather)

i think the news only what we can see on those two images: the new white horizon and the curvature of the earth, more refined light in the cockpit (less contrast between lighted areas and shaded areas)

yes, 'curvature of the earth' this is the biggest news : ) and it's realy not bad

Am I wrong or do I see self shading on the fuselage (missiles) from cockpit view in the second image? That would be so awesome!

Anyway, great to see EDGE in action!

You should use those pics with care since they are using large amounts of filters (that you will be disabling to get more FPS) and the earth's curvature might be the distortion caused by the wide angle view.
