Ok I got it work through the helicopter_exhaust.lua file but I'm not sure it's the right way.

Further testing will be needed concerning using two different helicopter mods (i.e. one player and one different client mod) and gaz exhausts this way.

Hi Pat,

I am a new member here but I am a quite experienced developer and helicopter aerodynamics programmer (I wrote a library called helicopter total realism at www.hovercontrol.com) currently used by several real pilots I am also an aerodynamcics programmer at the Combat Helo Project.

As I am very interested in understand how much DCS world can be modded to add helicopters and planes I started reading your thread.

What I am seing so far is very promising. let me know if you need help on this project... (where is the LUA documentation ????)

Bye

Fred

thank you Diveplane, I got your pm and replied, but could not find it in my outbox....

I read some materials and I believe it should not be that difficult to integrate my helicopter physics library with DCS, is there a way to read / set velocities and angular velocities in DCS through Lua ?

thanks

The gazelle cockpit base is in place. Now let's create the instruments and finish the interior in parallel with the work on the external model and the pilot...

Good to see cockpit progress. If you're interested in critiques, I think you could use a higher polygon count in your modeling, and the pilot definitely needs more detail. Better/more detailed textures will help too. Keep it up! :)
