Hi,I noticed that the ABRIS FUEL calculation on the NAV/FPL page (something seems wrong on this page) doesn't match what I input on the MENU/PLAN/EDIT/FUEL page(everything works and displays fine on this page) and also always display 0 when I played on a mutiplayer server,so I did some further testing. In single player mission, when I first joined the heli and powered up the ABRIS,the REM FUEL for the starting waypoint on NAV/FPL page is a fixed value (1410kg)which match what's automatically set on the MENU/PLAN/EDIT/FUEL page by mission editor, and the REM FUEL for other waypoints starts counting down as the time approaching what's the ETA set in mission editor. Everything works fine at this moment.(calculated by entered fuel consumption per hour (786kg in the pic below ) and ETA I guess? something like remaining fuel for other wayponts = starting waypoint fuel - hour fuel consumption * (current time - waypoint ETA) But if you edit the flight plan then re-active it,the REM FUEL on NAV/FPL page for the starting waypoint suddenly become a non fixed value,it doesn't match what's set on the MENU/PLAN/EDIT/FUEL page, and starts counting down like other REM FUEL waypoints. Sine fuel quantity calculation is all based on starting fuel quantity,so on NAV/FPL page it seems all messed up at this moment. Track for single player test:Ka50 ABRIS NAV FPL FUEL REM.trk In mutiplayer mission,it seems that most likely when u joined the missions, current in-game time have passed hours since the ETA set by ME,so the remaining fuel on ABRIS will most likely all reads 0kg when u are in mutiplayer mission. So if you want to make the calculation correct,u have to change the waypoint ETA,or edit fuel plan in some cases. But if you do that, and re-active an edited flight plan(actually just re-active the flight plan without edit is enough to cause this bug),the fuel quantity calculation on on NAV/FPL page will get messed up. In mutiplayer 4YA server before edit anything, noticed the correct 1410kg reading for the first waypoint. After re-activing flight plan(without edit),noticed the starting waypont fuel jumps to 0kg Track for mutiplayer test:4YA_CAU_PVE_V2.138[02_JUN_SCT]-20250805-185017.trk Not a big problem, but still hope for a fix.(I actually only noticed this during a long flight, and I was too boring in flight so decided to try this function out.) Thank you in advance.

That’s not going to work… or you’d have to keep that pedal held down halfway the whole time. Maybe if DCS had separate right and left rudder axis? It would still be odd but doable.

I'll start by agreeing with our fellow members above - 64GB is still plentyful today, and shall be for a number of years. However, if this is a brand new higher-end system then I'd strongly suggest a 96GB DDR5 kit (2x 48GB) with recommended speed/timings profile ("AMD Expo" or "Intel XMP") for your CPU and motherboard. Personally, I'd recommend 96GB kits from GSKILL. Just make sure that either the RAM manufacturer lists your motherboard, or that the specific RAM kit is listed in your motherboard's QVL list. This is a guarantee that the specific RAM kit has been tested with the specific motherboard for stability. Lastly, about 128GB of RAM, either in 128GB DDR5 kit (2x 64GB) or in a "pair of 64GB DDR5 kit" (4x 32GB). It's generally aimed at a "prosumer" base, with more relaxed speeds and timings (=slower) and for HEDT systems for professional applications/usage, not for gaming systems. It's problematic on most consumer motherboards and not recommended, as it's usually untested and unstable at the desired higher speeds/timings (i.e., get ready to "FAFO").

I did say I thought it was a fine idea. Well sure, when I discovered DCS I didn’t know what it was so of course I’d have read that. That was the A-10C on Steam and I can’t recall how I knew about the manual.

You know there are people on this forum that claims NVGs in DCS are already too good. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Tomcat has already 4 DLC campaigns: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/tomcat/ ...and more if you count user made content or the ones included in the module. There is still hope for future campaigns but I doubt any creator waits for the end of EA. You have a point though that sometimes it's too early for the campaign if the module is still young and is missing some important functionality. Not in the Tomcat case now although someone might wait ie. for the early F-14A. HB still owes us this one and a campaign

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3345896/ Try this fantastic mod....but single player only. It breaks integrity check. In all honesty a vast improvement to the in-game ones. Hopefully ED add a version of this to the sim in the future.

With the active pedals it could be possible to program the software if you push one pedal forward the other could move into the opposite direction. And if you only have space for one simsetup and the money, it's gonna be a great solution to enjoy racing and flying on the same rig. Edit: I would shoot an email to the company who makes the pedals you are interested in and ask them directly.

I'm a hundred percent on board with you. Pretty sure some of those toys will be implemented down the line. Remember, even AAA flightsims also need 3rd party shiny toys. It's pretty much up to resources. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

You read descriptions? Good for you! Back in 2016, I Googled free flightsims. Got a hit. Watch some Su-25T video on YT. Hmmm... Strange plane, while it's free. Let's go! Installed. Now, tell me where in that process it would be bad for ED to place links to manuals, both for the Su-25T AND the main game manual. There was nothing in that process that even suggested or even made me think there was manuals. The game was free. Now, please! Please do tell me why it's bad to have better links to manuals? You can't give me one good reason, except that it is unnecessary for you, and then you don't like it. That's your MO in the wishlist section.

I used to use Nvidia Profile Inspector, but now that you can configure it in DCS I rolled back the NVPI overrides and just use the DCS autoexec.cfg config file for it. No other extra software for my VR for this. In theory it should just work, maybe you have a problem with your Nvidia driver? Could try cleaning it out and reinstalling it.

There is no blur setting. You can however install a mod that should make the vision more clear.

A manual is listed in the features of the modules. Although that seems to be missing on the Steam Store descriptions. It’s also rather obvious a game this complex would have them.

I have renamed the files so they should come up un some sort of order on kneeboard forward/back. Also added all of the TACAN ILS approach diagrams. I did not do any of the departure diagrams - but they do exist (around 60). I have included all of the maps that have come up as part of this thread. I'm still looking for Volumes 1 & 2 of the DOD ENAME FLIP - doesn't look like its online anywhere, although I have yet to search the wayback machine data posted earlier. Data on the RAF bases Gutersloh etc would be good. The zip file attached is currently the most complete and supersedes all of the others. Please let me know if you spot any errors - I've not yet tested it Cheers GERMANY MAP Kneeboard v1.1.zip

Hello, can someone help me with NVG settings? I've known for a few years how to increase and decrease the brightness of the view, but I'm wondering if there's a blur setting. I think the view should be clearer than the default.

Hey @Steel Jaw, this might have already been fixed. Try and download version 2025-04-26 here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3326679/ What I had to do was basically delete ALL parked statics on the bow as the directors started to ignore them.- 419 replies
