Thanks for the tip. I'm using Open Mods Manager so I copied CoreMods/aircraft/FA-18C/DTC/ALR67/CMDS_defs.lua to my mods library (using the same relative path) and edited the file there to my liking and enabled that mod. Now after a cold start, if I go to MUMI and load the ALR67 I get that modified default configuration. No need to load a custom DTC for DCS UI after slotting in. Works just fine for me even if it's not entirely satisfying. I noticed that in CoreMods/aircraft/FA-18C/DTC/defaults there are multiple test.json files which might also be relevant but I have no idea how to use/tune them and anyway they're still in the main install path and not in Saved Games so it's not really more useful than tuning CMDS_defs.lua. It'd definitely be nice to be able to have a default configuration in saved games for users to tune. -

I'm happy a fix for loading times is in the works, but at the same time, I don't think HT On vs Off should be disregarded, if not as a direct cause to the issue, at least as something that might point to it. It's clear many users find that disabling HT helps with load times, both in these forums and the discord server. In my case, I made 12 runs, 6 with HT on and another 6 with HT off. The results are as follows: Desktop to launcher average of 37s with HT on vs. 13s with HT off. Launcher to menu average of 85s with HT on vs. 41s with HT off. I don't think it makes much sense to assume as normal behavior that disabling HT cuts loading times by more than half compared to HT enabled. I really think this should be looked at by the developers as it may point to a possible issue with Intel CPUs. I'm running DCS on a 14900k, btw. -

The PG-16V is already implemented and can be seen being fired by "Paratrooper RPG-16". The Mk 46 appears to be from the South Atlantic assets (the exact same model is present in that directory too, with its inaccuracies - like the nose that's the wrong shape and the rear-most propeller that's a lot smaller than it should be).

Hi. I know that the saved game features are still in development, but it would be good to see triggered assets having their waypoints and actions saved. For example, I've tested the features and if an aircraft isn't triggered it will appear on the saved game but without its actions (CAP, AWACS, etc) and without its waypoints. It means currently one has to manage these assets before loading the saved game. It's okay for simple missions but a lot of work for more complex scenarios. Anyhow, it's a great feature but could be fantastic

I'm very happy to read this ! Leaving the button mapping to user was a design choice. It's not that long to do and let everyone do it the way they want, feel used to or natural. For the ch47 CDU, i agree ! i counted the lines LSK and RSK , match , i asked the dcsbios team if i could help on making it available but looks like it's not that easy. I'm monitoring it regularly and as soon it's available i'll add it to the project. Again, glad to read that my project helped you. And the physical CDU in the A10C is a real game changer / fun to have.

You don't specify motherboard model. This is where to start. Detail is needed on the computer: Self built? Or prebuilt? Is it new, by chance? (In January this year, you indicated having a Z790/14900k system, with a 4090... so it appears you have changed since then). Download and run CPU-Z, to determine current BIOS version here: https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html This is a very reputable, safe app. There are other ways to check BIOS version, but CPU-Zwill offer additional information that will be helpful as well. Post a screen shot of the first three tabs (see example below). Likely the machine needs a BIOS update; this behavior could easily be due to out-of-date BIOS which doesn't properly support the CPU. Are you running AMD's Ryzen Master by any chance? CPU-Z tabs: -
Ну как то не особо получилось. Если честно. Особенно на Ми-8. В мустанге еще +/- срабатывает , т.к. стекло близко к голове , то на Ми-8 летаешь словно без стекол. Хотя сколько видел картинок из жизни - грязи там хватает. И на относительно ранних версиях было в целом норм.

I have to agree, both accounts. It looks like that chip is capped and running running DCS with 8-cores and 8 threads only (SMT off, shoud be 16 threads being pushed - game running in one CCD only is normal). Giving a look at the BIOS to ensure all cores and threads are enabled would be the first step. Try disabling X3D Turbo Mode (if that's enabled) and see how it goes. The other step would be to run DCS with a capped framerate (more so if w/ G-Sync capable monitor) - it makes no sense to run DCS at over 120 FPS, regardless of potent hardware. -
Other missing ammo into the DCS Directories: Mk-40: Air delibery Destructor (DST) mines (will fitted with Mk 75 DST ACOUSTIC (ACC) & MAG influence fuzing). Mk-77: Fireye, sucessor from Napalm, incendiary bomb.

Your "F-16C real" photo is from a much earlier version of the F16C and most likely a much earlier version of the radar as well. And who knows if what we are looking at has moving targets on it. I think the squares a bit too big personally, but not too far off. -

Greetings, I have started working on a semi-realistic mission that aims to portray the Package Q airstrike on 19th of January 1991. I have been able to find basic information + whatever information I was able to extract from the Stroke 3 HUD recording but I am missing some important details. Does anyone have any additional information they could share here regarding things like flight plan, target list, etc. Another thing is that I found conflicting numbers of the F-16s that participated in the airstrike. I mostly encounter 2 numbers thise being 56 and 72. I know that 4 F-16s were turned around due to falling behind but that leaves other 12 unaccounted for. Any resources which could help me are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Both HSD and HUD show my heading as 313, but HUD shows my target is right from me and HSD shows it to the left. Can't reproduce it at the moment here's a screenshot from when it happened flying multiplayer.

NS430 is not allowed on MP servers, It used to couse lag, not bringing GPS as integral part of module, selectable with mission editor is quite an issue. Fulcrum role IRL and landscape of DCS make it more focused on PVP IMO. -
cannot reproduce Designating a static target with HMD

Hi, I just came back to DCS F18 and I noticed the same problem as OP. When I designate a ground target through the HMD (A/G mode and HMD SOI confirmed), the target is set on the ground as expected but as soon as I looked away for a moment, the target jump to a point far far away (like 650nm indicate in HUD). Next time I will make a Mark point for reliability so as not to ruined my canon run Best regards, Pierre
