  5. Hello, Today I finished updating the the second mission, about Waypoint navigation. Changes include support for radio comms with ATC and updates to the way new waypoints can be created on the UFCP: If anyone wants to give it a try, you can get the mission here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ai6cuX3YQI26ic53QSfxaN-YDsilUw?e=Ugur2I I will publish them at User Files once I have updated the whole set of 6 missions. Best regards, Eduardo

  7. So yea, since Heatblurs making an F-4 and Aerges is close to releasing the Mirage F1, how bout a Jag for DCS? If possible the GR3 Variant? When it comes to historic RAF inventory, the Jaguar GR3 has to be my fav (ofc excluding the Spitfire) Not sure about Documentation tho, since the RAF loves to keep things classified, but it’d defo be a sick module to have in DCS (Shoutout to Aircrew Interviews, they’ve got some good footage of Jaguar HUD Tapes)

  8. This is beating a dead horse, but what would you like them to say? "We're 96% done MT, but realize that the last 4% will take 30% of our total development time for it"? "We've added another 10,000 line of code since our last update"? Both could be completely accurate answers that would be completely meaningless, and in the case of the 1st one there will be a vocal number of posters who will assume 96% means it's almost here and ignore the 2nd part that means it might be 8-12 months away. I doubt there's much they could say that would be meaningful until it's done and coming out in the next patch. If they just say "We're making good progress" occasionally they get exactly what you posted.

Я уж не упоминаю про то, что иной раз гайды устаревают. Поэтому это не только мои проблемы. Но если у тех, кто играет только в форум, всё хорошо, я рад.

  15. Folks, please keep it friendly here. The rules for the competition are in the first post. We try to do a livery competition with our modules, its fun for the artists out there and we get to see some impressive work that can potentially be added to DCS. We are looking for real liveries past and present from any mossie variant, if you want to focus on 1944 that is fine but please dont discourage other liveries. thank you and good luck.

  17. Some small things. I changed the interior exhaust feathers to look a bit more like an exhaust. This area can obviously vary quite a bit. For most liveries I will keep this as the standard. Now I'm also working on liveries. Two Ukrainian Vipers only a couple of months fresh into service.

  19. Stop feeding exhausted (though exhausting seems more fitting at this point) guys, he's been very salty since announcement of F-4E and can't move on. As for the subject, as others have said/linked, naval birds will be a separate module. Variants aren't announced yet, but if HB goes a similar timeframe as with the two E variants, they will probably be J and maybe even S. Also unknown is where will they slot in HB's releases, it looks like first two releases will be F-4E and Eurofigther, but whether it's the Intruder or Navy F-4 after that isn't clear yet. I don't think HB will give us a clear picture about it before F-4E is out, possibly even after the Eurofigther release rather.

  20. Guess they'll find out how niche once the pre-order and release comes around. E might not be as iconic as naval F-4 but they'll definitely still be popular.

Alles Weitere erfolgt dort. Bei Fragen, Sorgen, Nöten oder Anträgen könnt ihr ebenfalls @Papa Saubär#8642 anschreiben. Stand: 24.02.2023

  25. I agree. I was always wondering why "Persian Gulf" in DCS means peaceful 2018 Hormuz Strait with artificial palm tree islands - and not either Gulf War 1991 full scale war zone over Kuwait/South Iraq. Or full scale war zone 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war over Iraqi-Iranian border. Or at least 1980s "Tankers war" in Hormuz Strait. Especially we have in DCS nearly all modules for all this 3 conflicts, for both sides, flayable. But no, instead modern day peaceful Burj Khalifa and palm tree islands Hormuz Strait which would fit civilian flight sim well, not really combat simulator. PS: our F-15E RAZBAM is making is going to be 2003-2015 variants. Unfortunately no F-15E from Gulf War with original engines, pre AMRAAM, at least not now, but they announced both engine types so maybe in the future.

  27. Hi everyone MANUEL FRANCAIS : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uWFApojSvny-yyGpYo1JMsEnUE1wrlu8/view?usp=sharing ENGLISH MANUAL : https://drive.google.com/file/d/15_Y-kyroGvRLRzOMN-eAfdxzIyf6WDoW/view?usp=sharing Erratum : In the manual I sometimes talk about the "FrenchPackScript.lua", it's a mistake of mine, the new name is "ModpackScript.lua". Please make yourself sure to have followed the installation instructions. And read the changelog, for the 4.9.1 it's important. DL link V4.9.1 27/04/2022 : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1i88vAEulF-VeS8jfCnOJXqtU53LbuqVA/view?usp=sharing General changelog : - Fixed textures issues on Leclerc and VAB. (4.9.1) - Improved slope capability for VBCI, AMX-10RC, Leclerc (4.9.1) - Added FLIR mapping for the French vehicles except Tracma and AMX-30. - Fixed broken Tracma. - Added FrenchPack Menu theme (like other modules) with nice old school music - Updated/fixed the optics for the tanks - Many fixes and alterations that I did not list over the past months. - Greatly increased the functions in the FrenchPack script, added to the already available features described in the PDF manual are : -----------FRA Le script du pack a été très fortement complété pour améliorer l'expérience sur Combined Arms et en hélico. (Voir PDF si vous savez pas comment faire) --------EN Please note that text messages in this script are in french, you can modify them or translate them editing the script, all the new functions start from line 2785. This script has been deeply completed to improve the CA and helicopter experience ingame. Main features are, not counting the features already described in the PDF : - Ability to spawn a combat group with 2 Leclercs, one VBL recon vehicle, on repair/rearm truck. - ENI tanks and IFV, if they are the only unit of their group (ie : one group with one unit) and if they are not moving, will face their main threat to maximize armor. They too can proceed to a random maneuver. - If you have some artillery, when a ground vehicle detects a SAM or a very low altitude, hovering helicopter, the artillery will be tasked to shoot at him. All which is needed is a vehicle, a proper target and an arty group in range. It works on both sides even without player. - Suppression fire : a successful rockets or bomb shot on a group will cause him to cease fire for a random amount of time (5-30 sec). You must hit at least one vehicle. (To avoid gameplay spamming) Way of working of this part of the script : - You can at any moment place a marker on the Map (the red circle), if you name it : - XL a blue group with leclercs, recon, and refuel/rearm will appear. - XLAGR a red group with leclercs, recon, and refuel/rearm will appear. - XLDES a blue group with desert leclercs, recon, and refuel/rearm will appear. - XLDESAGR a red group with desert leclercs, recon, and refuel/rearm will appear. Once done, they player MUST only use the leclerc called XL. It's written in the left bottom panel when you click on the tank in F-10 view. Group is composed of the following elements : XL, which is you and 106, the leclerc "wingman". Atlas, the recon VBL. Cubi, the refuel/rearm TRM-2000. Using the F-10 others radio menus, you can : - Ask each of them to halt or follow you. - Ask them to fire or not. - Ask Atlas to proceed to a recon mission 1500 or 2500 m ahead of you. - Ask Atlas to give you a Sitrep of what he sees 4000 m around him (in his line of sight, if the badguy is behind a tree he won't see him) - Ask Cubi to come for rearming. The idea really was to stop using the F-10 map and simply stay in the tank. It works damn well. 106 will inform you when he engages, and will make you a Sitrep of his ammo and global status on a regular basis. All what you need to do on your side is to load the script in a trigger. (See the PDF if you don't know how to do it) VEHICLE LIST - LECLERC SERIE XXI** - AMX-30B2 - AMX-13 75* - AMX-13 90* - AMX-10RCR* - AMX-10RCR SEPAR* - ERC-90D - VBCI* - VAB - VAB-50 - VAB T20/13 - VAB MEDICAL - VAB 120 MM MORTAR - VBL - VBL-50 - VBL AANF1 - VBAE CRAB* - VBAE CRAB MMP* - TRM-2000 - TRM-2000 FUEL - TRM-2000 53T2 - TRM-2000 MISTRAL - 120 MM MORTAR - 53T2 - TRACMA - TOYOTA HILUX 3 COLORS 14.5 MM - KAMIKAZE PICK UP - T-62 (low poly) - T-64BV (low poly) - T-72A (low poly) - M551 Sheridan (low poly) - KORNET ATGM (low poly) *Have specific optics STATIC LIST - TENTS CYLDRINCAL 2 COLORS - MODULAR TENTS 3 COLORS - CLASSIC TENTS 3 COLORS - CONTAINERS 3 COLORS - HESCO MANY SIZES - CONCRETE WALLS MANYS SIZES - CANOPIES - WC - CONE - FARP T (Autonomous, no vehicle needed for rearm/refuel) - FUEL TANKS - AMMO BOXES - BARRIERS - <profanity>LOAD OF OTHER THINGS

  29. Time for permadeath in DCS Btw: In your video what the R77 does seems like a bug or a tracking error of the missile. Dont expect this to happen too often. How to defeat the R77 missile is easy. Just stay away from it How to kill the bandit who fired the R77 at you while staying alive is another question. Quick guide: -Try to get to the same altitude as the bandit. That helps to get a lock quickly. -Climb up and fire your AIM120 when it in range -Put the bandit on the right or left gimbal limit of your radar. -Go nose down approx 30 degree, throttle to idle (helps to keep the distance, you dont want to run into his missile) -wait until your Aim120 gets pitbull aka self guided ( the "A" with a number changes to "T" with a number) -break lock, full throttle afterburner, dive to the deck and run away for a minute or more -if bandit is dead: good. If not: recommit and repeat the steps above. Disclaimer: Your RWR will yell at you that a missile has been fired. You can turn away of course at that point. But dont expect that you will ever be able to guide one of your missiles to the bandit that way. You have to stay committed to the fight to guide your own missile, then defeat the R77. Finding the sweetspot between the two is what you have to learn.

  30. The thing is that those strategic raids you speak of went to Germany, not to the small part of France that we currently have in the map. We can't let them fly off the edge of the map. We will have some a bit longer range raids when we get the map expansion with the Paris area. But if your dream is to fly 4 hours long Ramrods to Germany then we need an even much bigger map first As for the P-trap furball, this will all but disappear once we get the new map. The different and much more realistic layout on the Normandy 2 map will cause the focus of the battle to move further south-east, and the longer ranges will make tactical flying more important. Finally, the long range from the German spawn points will meand that Germans will very seldom venture to the P-trap anymore. However, as dictated by the map and theatre we are working with, our focus is clearly to simulate the epic actions of the tactical 2nd TAF and 9th Air Force, less so of the 8th Air Force with it's strategic raids to Germany. We can't have people move and hide our ground targets, since their position is marked on map and briefing as targets. That would be unfair for the pilots. And on top of that, ground battles are quite terrible for performance, so we rather provide better peformance for our flying players, which are most anyways

  32. Lots of people are interested in doing things they can't afford to do. It has nothing to do with anything. ED (and other devs) need to make profit or there will be no more modules. There is no sustainable price at which everyone that might want it can afford it, there will always be someone that can't. Their job is to balance profit per sale with total sales to get the optimum balance. You can see that module prices have tracked pretty closely to the upper end of new video game releases which suggests that it's not a prohibitive price. Also, rudel makes an excellent point - if you can afford the computer and controllers is buying one or two modules a year really a problem? Especially with regular sales. ETA, it's pretty fun that in here you're talking about how the modules should be cheaper so that everyone can afford them but in another thread you're telling a guy that his 3070 is obsolete and "who would even buy less than a 3080 to play DCS?".

  33. I certainly understand the desire not to overcomplify things as long as it doesn't need to be done. Nevertheless DCS is still a simulator, with the goal of the supercarrier being to have the most realistic depiction of a Nimitz class and its operations. The fact is that we're obviously missing some rather important interactions and signals with the Deck crew when preparing for a Catapult takeoff, so i don't see any reason from a gameplay perspective in the light of what the Supercarrier is supposed to be that would speak against implementing afformentioned missing features.

  35. Although I usually admire Zach's hard work and feedback related to paintschemes, the narrow minded and arrogant approach in this case is surprising and puzzling for me. The last thing Mosquito deserves is limited bunch of all-the-same looking RAF mid-44 skins with an odd Coastal Command livery thrown in for a change. I don't have Channel map, I'm not THAT anal about historical context (though I admit it's something "nice to have"), because I use DCS primarily as a cheap MSFS alternative for recreational flying. I'm also not Aussie, far from it (figuratively and literally, living on the opposite side of the planet Earth ;)) but I really hope MateusOV will participate in the competition and update and submit his awesome silver RAAF and RAF SEAC skins (the primary ones I'm using while flying wherever I feel like flying). It would be shame not to have at least one of these available in stock collection. How about Il-2GB approach: let's indeed have a couple of Channel/Normandy relevant skins for historic mission and campaign purposes, and then a collection of skins from whatever period / theater / user as long as they comply with ED's requirements.

  39. Nahen, Dude, piling even moire BS on top of BS just makes it more emberrassing for you. "I meant.." - yeah, this whole thread you´re proven wrong by various people on a bunch of wild theories and then you try the "...but I meant..."-thing. Hwang had shot his Amraam and was still supporting it (not quite as intended as HDTWS isn´t the proper mode for that, but anyway) while running a front Aspect Intercept at close range and high Vc. That´s why he tried to uncage the Sidewinder. But as he got no tone this just showed that it wasn´t employable - another Amraam-kill, end of story. That whole "2nm", armchair-song and shots beyond "ideal conditions" is pure BS. There´s plenty of stuff going on as to when and what mssile is employed in which way. It´s got nothing to do with set amount of miles and they are not at all shot "beyond ideal conditions". Usually they aren´t even launched at maximum range. As GGTharos said - there are scenarios where one can shoot Fox2 at pretty big ranges. But that´s not the point. Bottom Line with as per this thread: The (light grey) Eagle is a very good Air-Air Platform, be it BVR or at the merge. Their crews are very good as well and highly proficient in that business. The main Weapon is the Amraam whenever available and not min-ranged. The Mudhen should be pretty close to their abilities in BVR and way less maneuverable at the merge (which is why they wouldn´t go there when given the choice - and employ solid ACM when being forced to it).
