First off, there is nothing new to report as of the date of this post, this new thread is simply a clean-up and ease of access for all current official information on the current issues between Eagle Dynamics & RAZBAM. Hopefully, this will make it easier to see the current known information and weed it out from the theories, guesses and suggestions in the other thread. If you want to see that one, the link will be available at the bottom of the post. The first public knowledge of the disagreement happened with an announcement on the RAZBAM Discord here: https://discord.com/channels/536389125276827660/544501300134543380/1225494495458627634 razbam_prowler — 04/04/2024 10:17 AM Dear Customers and Community, You may have noticed that the that the latest RAZBAM announcements does not include a changelog or any updates for our products. We would like to inform you that, until further notice, all support for RAZBAM-developed aircraft modules is on hold. This suspension encompasses, but is not limited to, bug fixes and updates. We want to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to this exceptional community, our current customers, and prospective clients. Unfortunately, due to circumstances completely beyond our control, we are temporarily unable to continue our work at this time. Our team, a group of highly skilled and professional developers, is first and foremost made up of dedicated individuals. They invest not only their expertise but also their personal dedication and sacrifice into crafting our products. For many, this work provides essential supplementary income or even constitutes their primary livelihood. We are hopeful for a swift resolution so that we can resume our normal operations. However, until these issues are resolved, we will not be issuing any updates about our products. We ask for your understanding during this challenging period, a situation that RAZBAM Simulations did not seek and which has previously seriously affected other parties, for example Heatblur Simulations. We have been patient, perhaps too patient, waiting for a resolution from the responsible parties. Now, we find it necessary to take a stand and await a practical solution to this deadlock. I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my fellow third-party developers. Their support, once aware of the relevant facts, has been overwhelming. Thank you for elevating DCS to new heights; it truly wouldn't be the remarkable experience it is without your contributions. The suspension will remain in effect until the significant issues between Eagle Dynamics and RAZBAM Simulations LLC are resolved to our mutual satisfaction. Once these issues have been addressed, we will resume our standard practices of bug fixing, updates, and upgrades, just as we have since our inception as developers for DCS. We hope this resolution results in a more stable and optimistic future for DCS and all 3rd Party Developers. Best regards Ron Zambrano CEO RAZBAM Simulations, LLC Eagle Dynamics was compelled to respond shortly after on their Discord found here: https://discord.com/channels/542985647502393346/543013214485610520/1225540029493936219 04/04/2024 1:18 PM Following the message published by Ron Zambrano of Razbam Simulations, we believe that it is necessary to rectify some of the unfounded allegations and to reassure the Community that everything is being done to resolve the current situation promptly and for the benefit of all concerned. Without entering into the details of matters that are confidential to the parties, we firmly reject the allegations that the current disagreement between Eagle Dynamics and Razbam Simulations would be as stated by Razbam “due to circumstances completely beyond our control" and that it is "a situation that Razbam Simulations did not seek". On the contrary, the current disagreement is the result of improper actions that have been taken by Razbam Simulations, in breach of its contractual obligations towards our company and of our legally protected IP rights, and for which we are seeking a reasonable and forward-looking commercial outcome rather than entertaining legal claims. We very much regret that Ron Zambrano has decided, without even pre-advising us, to make these disparaging public statements and, more importantly, to take the customers of the Razbam developed aircraft as leverage in the discussions with us. Please rest assured, we are addressing the situation with the utmost attention and constructiveness. Many thanks and kind regards, Nick Grey RAZBAM followed with this reply: https://discord.com/channels/536389125276827660/544501300134543380/1226492074233434182 razbam_prowler — 04/07/2024 4:21 AM @here Dear customers and community RAZBAM Simulations is actively working with EAGLE DYNAMICS to reach an agreement to resolve our internal dispute and we don't want the discussion that our public declaration has generated to escalate any further. We want to assure you that it has never been nor will it be our intention to abandon our products. We look forward to a prompt and satisfactory resolution, turn the page, and move forward. Best regards Ron Zambrano CEO RAZBAM Simulations, LLC This was the last of the official announcements from both management parties. While both teams have officially been very quiet due to the delicate nature of issues at hand there has been some events that have come up and caused concerns. Some Anti-Virus programs were picking up a false positive on some DCS DLLs. Sadly it seemed to be worse on some of the RAZBAM modules fueling fears of issues with the modules. This can be solved by adding the DCS install folder to the exceptions for your anti-virus software, this happens from time to time so this was nothing new. The M2000 had some issues, including CTDs. This was an accidental merge of some changes one of the developers was working on. Once it was identified the changes were reverted and the issues were solved (although nothing was noted in the changelog at the time). This was not anything related to compatibility with the core game. June 12th at Midnight the F-15E radar stopped working. While we have internally identified the issue no fix has been presented as of yet. once we have solid news on that we will share that ASAP. Again this had nothing to do with core compatibility but rather something in the coding of the F-15E. UPDATE: When version 2.9.6 drops it will contain a fix for the F-15E radar. This fix was created by our team and not given to us by any other party. Refunds While at first, we were maintaining our normal refund rules, we decided to bend a little for those who were frustrated with the issues and how they affected an Early Access Product. We have been giving a store credit for the value of the F-15E when you purchased it. You may open a ticket here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/ for a refund, but we ask for patience as it may take up to 7-10 business days to process your refund. Other modules will not be refunded at this time, all of these are out of Early Access and remain working. It is our commitment that no matter what happens we will do our best to make sure these continue to work into the future. We understand those of you who remember losing the Hawk, this is not something we intend to do again. Steam refunds are based on the play time of the core game, not the individual module. It is their policy and they handle the refunds. As we understand it, no refunds have been accepted by Valve. All modules continue to work, aside from the current radar issues with the F-15E which we hope will be addressed sooner than later. South Atlantic continues to be updated and as I stated above, the other older modules we plan to make sure they continue to work into the foreseeable future. Is ED broke? No, Eagle Dynamics is very healthy aside from this dispute currently, all other 3rd Parties and the ED development team continue to work and push new and exciting content out to you. Is ED pushing things out because they are out of money? No, most of these recent products have been scheduled for quite some time now, into early last year. The 3rd Party products are based on when they are ready from their own team, although some delays here and there squished some release dates together, nothing has been out of the ordinary except more goodies in a short amount of time. How can you keep selling the F-15E or other modules? UPDATE 2025-04-07 Right now we are working within the framework of the legal advice moving forward and not wanting to cause any more riffs or issues. It's a complex process at this point and most likely why it seems to be moving so slowly for everyone. Nothing more can be said about that right now. Sorry. After receiving an official request by RAZBAM to remove products from sale we have done so. All products will be fully supported by DCS and will continue to operate. We cannot comment on any more conspiracy theories than this. This was an unfortunate disagreement that had been going on for some time and finally went public. I can only speak for Eagle Dynamics but I believe both teams want to resolve this as fast as possible and get back to making virtual airplanes. The discussion below was the old thread. This new thread may be moderated a little harder, so please be nice to each other, know that all the other customers in here discussing this with you are in the same boat and probably want the same thing. So let's be open to their opinions and concerns and understand they are allowed to have them as much as you are. Anything from any user here without an official tag won't be making any official comments, me and @BIGNEWY will only comment on publically available info as this is a legal matter at the end of the day. ------------------------------- Update 25th July 2025 In response to recent comments and questions made by Razbam Simulations, its proxies and/or external developers, Eagle Dynamics confirms that it signed a settlement agreement with Razbam at the end of 2024 to put an end to the existing disputes and that such agreement also provides for a strict confidentiality requirement that prevents Eagle Dynamics from disclosing further information. Eagle Dynamics can, however, confirm that Razbam instructed Eagle Dynamics to cease selling the modules developed by Razbam and its independent developers. All modules continue to function ‘as is’ and despite not receiving any access to source codes or cooperation from Razbam and its external developers, Eagle Dynamics will do its best to ensure that these modules continue to function in 2.9.X. We are still hoping to be able to implement the settlement agreement and to find a satisfactory outcome to the current situation, in the best interests of our valued community. Thank you for your passion and support. Yours sincerely, Eagle Dynamics I cannot say enough, on behalf of all of us at Eagle Dynamics, how sorry we are that you are being made, in part by us, to go through this. We are committed to getting this sorted as soon as we can. Thanks The ED Team11 points

As some of you mentioned the lack of Royal Navy vessels with DCS world, and I posted a picture of a Type 42 batch 3 destroyer within the Admirals thread. I wasn't planning on releasing, but decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a go. The Type 42 Btch 3 ( extended hull) will come with : Sea- Dart surface to air missile sysytem 2 x Phalanx CIWS 2 x 20mm Oerlikon 1 x Mk8 4.5 " Deck gun 4 vessels of the batch 3's will be available HMS Edinburgh HMS Manchester HMS York HMS Gloucester There's She can support Helo's up to the size of Merlins. There's a basic damage model, so she can take damage and can sink. Beldin has been working on the lua, as there was an issue with the missiles not launching, and the scale of the seperate sea dart on the launcher wrong. Textures are not the best, they were fine for me for what I was using her for ( eye candy) The attached screens may have different Ships numbers so disregard. I will look to release once ED fix the coding for the missiles8 points

It's only "easy" when you assume a lot... When you assume that Razbam's developers are still on the payroll and available to continue work on the module, and fix the current bugs. When you assume that ED are in a position where there would be no legal implications for paying Razbam with any legal proceedings that could possibly be taking place. When you assume that Razbam would honor the payment and continue work, and not take the money and then not maintain their modules (which could be either in, or out of their control, such as dev's moving on to other employment) or demand/request even more money for damages, and then hold up work while other legal proceedings take place. When you assume that the reason for all this is solely payment, and there aren't deeper legal issues at play that none of us are aware of ... and who knows what else. It's "easy" to claim "easy fix"es when you make a lot of assumptions and don't have to take responsibility for those assumptions. The mess that's created is anything but easy to fix. Hopefully there will be a fix, but if time-bomb code has been included and is causing some of these issues, I suspect that it would mean this mess just got a lot deeper and messier than it was a week ago, and it will take longer to resolve with even more legal implications - thus even more complicated and less easy than it was a week ago. Let's really hope that's not the case because for now, it's already anything but easy.5 points

Hello Everyone, I am sure some of you have seen the recent posts that I have made with updates to the South Atlantic map which brings with it higher fidelity. IMPO this is a game changer in that the ED lighting now works hand in hand with the terrain and makes for some absolutely stunning images. I just wanted to share a few of those with you (especially for those that only really check the forums) Anyways, here are the screenshots Enjoy!4 points

I understand your point. Doing that however would then annoy all the people using the real manuals. They search the binds by the official names. These names have been choosen very carefully and a lot of thought went into making things easy to discover. For example, we aimed at giving each bind at least two categories. One for the system it belongs to and another for the location in the plane. That said, there are of course a few exceptions that could be named better, while still pleasing all kinds of players. Just drop the binds as you find them and we can improve them one by one The "Dispense Countermeasures" and "Toggle Mirrors" binds have been improved for the next patch. Thanks.4 points

Correct. The US asset pack was updated the 15th. And as mentioned above, besides the announcement I make here in the thread, always check my website. You have the release log on the landing page as well as a detailed changelog per country (if you click on a country at the top).3 points

Well I have 2 VPForce Rhinos, one in each sim pit (Jet & Helo) and use each for at least 2 or more hours a day and have never had any kind of issues with either of them. Walmis will tell you they have been exhaustively tested. I had a brunner before and after a session of hard use it cut out due to heat overload, fans going mad......Never had such issues with the Rhino. Of course, you can never have too much horsepower/torque etc.....but I would really question the implication that the VPForce Rhino does not have enough.....I think thats plain wrong.... Oh and the Telem FFB effects software is super easy to use and intuitve. I will admit the number of combinations of effects and sliders in the main config software can be overwhelming, but the default config pretty much nails it, you only need minor tweaking from there.....3 points

Hi Stephen40 The current refund on our Eshop for the F-15E is a good will refund and I have not been told that will change. We do hope for a resolution for this dispute but we do not know how long that resolution will take, as you mention we would prefer people to hold out for that resolution but understand those who wish to refund now. The radar issue has been reported and we are waiting for a fix. thank you3 points

I’m experiencing the same issue. I usually play on MT, and those artifacts make it almost impossible to use the radar. Switching to ST does reduce the artifacts, but they are still annoying. Found this bug report because it's been a week with this issue and I'm starting to get frustrated but I see that no one has responded or mentioned a fix for this yet...3 points

I do the same but you always run into something. The other night I got in a jet with the mirrors off. I hadn't mapped that binding. Opened controls menu and scrolled to M. Nothing What system are mirrors in? WTFK! Off headset, and start typing. Comes up Toggle Mirrors. Just plain dumb. I am very happy you don't find it a problem. However, I am here making suggestions for future customers. Just because you don't mind it doesn't mean HB cannot take an easy win by rearranging word order for those that don't really want to remove the VR gear to type in a search field.3 points

Making FC3 standard aircraft out of already existing full fidelity module is easy, just delete some systems and simplyfy others. Like FC 2024 did. Making a new FC3 standard aircraft from scratch is absolutely NOT profitable: it still needs high fidelity flight model, high quality cockpit, external model, animations, weapons models, interaction with the whole enviroment - just saving time on made up sipmlified avionics - and selling it for a small fraction of full fidelity module... If a developer has already done the tedious work of modeling the flight model, cockpit, external features, weapons, interactions, etc., it would be far more profitable to finish the full fidelity avionics and sell it for some 400% more. Plus FC3 means simplified (F-15C, Su-27S, A-10A, Su-25 etc.) - not unrealistic / fictional / made up (Rafale, F-22, MiG-29SMK, Su-27SM2, Gripen etc). That's why FC3 didn't bring classified aircrafts with completely made up guestimated avionics. Classified unrealistic aircraft with classified fictional systems = MOD.3 points

Carrier Air Wing 66 is hiring experienced naval aviators! Carrier Air Wing 66 is a DCS World PVE multiplayer group, centered on US Navy fighters and operations. We fly events in the EURO time zone and generally fly THURSDAY and SUNDAY at 1930 CE(S)T, which is always 1930 local time in Amsterdam. If you are outside our zone, but the times work for you, you are still free to apply. We are a small, but tight-knit community that emphasizes immersion, realism and teamwork over individual performance. We are primarily a PVE (Player vs. Environment) group that uses training, qualifications and detailed missions to immerse ourselves into the atmosphere of modern jet combat and the mind-set of a US Navy aviator. If you enjoy fast-paced action and racking up kills in PVP, this might NOT be the group for you. We are a mature and consistent group that focuses on learning, progression and having an inclusive and enthusiastic community. We can be considered a ‘hard-core’ unit, in that we emphasize training, qualifications and dedicated pilots that fly together over an extended period using realistic tactics, techniques and procedures. We currently operate three (fictional) US Navy squadrons; VF-119 “Tridents”, flying the F-14B Tomcat, VFA-166 “Maulers”, flying the F/A-18C Hornet and VAW-101 “Sea eagles”, providing Airborne command & control using LotAtc. Before considering joining, you should be able to attend at least one mission a week as a general rule, in addition to personal training offline. We use Discord as our main hub of interaction and communications between missions. When flying, we communicate using SRS (Simple Radio Standalone). Our student pilots (or ‘nuggets’ as they are called in the US Navy), progress through a qualifications program, where they learn the basic skills in aircraft handling and procedures (IQ), as well as basic weapons and tactics (MQ) and of course, carrier qualifications (CQ). After successfully completing IQ and CQ, you join the Wing on 'Cruise', which is our take on a dynamic campaign. Find us on Discord and have a look at our Welcome Document there. After that, give us a shout if interested! Rodge, CAG CVW-66 Oh, and give these videos a watch:2 points

Without exaggeration. In terms of 3D shape, the model is of a very good standard, and the pilot models are also very good (also in VR). If this is not criticism for criticism's sake, but you want this post to be considered constructive criticism, please post the bugs you notice in the bugs section (corner). Otherwise, unfortunately it is just criticism for criticism's sake. I see that the 3D model has been refined very well and it's actually hard to fault it. Here is an example of a bug that I actually noticed, but I won't go gray because of it and I will wait patiently for the solution.2 points

PART 1 Hello and welcome to my Thrustmaster Warthog throttle pinky switch replacement guide. I live in the UK and have found it difficult to find any information with regards to replacing the pinky switch in the UK specifically. I found numerous vids and advice on HOW to replace it, but not WHERE I could source the correct switch from in the UK. This guide presumes you are comfortable taking apart your beloved throttle and have access to, and can use, a soldering iron. No special tools are required. If you're reading this you probably already know that there are an abundance of SPDT switches out there, and if you don't know what one of those is, like I didn't, just google it. It'll make more sense. I found it difficult to decipher all the sizes and switch types so I wanted to share exactly WHAT switch I used and WHERE it came from at a very reasonable price. So lets get to it.... THE SWITCH From a reputable electronics company, RS Components. RS stock number: 7347139 REMOVAL OF SWITCH To remove, undo the 2 phillips screws holding the left throttle together. They are located on the INBOARD side of the throttle. The OUTBOARD panel that the switch sits in should now start to come away from the body of the throttle. ***NOTE - IF THE INBOARD PLASTIC PANELSTARTS TO COME AWAY, TRY TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. THAT PART ISN'T DESIGNED TO COME AWAY WITHOUT FURTHER DISSASSEMBLY. You will find 2 black spacers inside that will become loose once the screws are fully removed. Take those out and keep them safe with the screws. At this point don't worry about which way around they go as I'll specify that later on. I'm going to have to break this post up into stages as my images are too big and limited to a max of 5MB per post.2 points

Perhaps the accomplishments of pilots like then-Colonel Olds can be weighted more accurately now, with some appreciation of just how not-advanced their tech was. The first F-4B/F-4C Phantom IIs had AIM-9Bs and generation I Sparrows - period . Had HB released those versions instead of the later F-4E we have, the transition from modern kit would have been too much.2 points

Unless you are in breach of contract and said contract stipules witholding payment as a legal step. In General: The Phantom uses the AN/ALE- 40 Countermeasures dispenser; 1. Make sure that countermeasures are loaded on the aircraft and the that you know the amount of each (Chaff and Flares) 2. Make sure the countermeasures button you have bound also activates (moves) the button press on the corresponding throttle (as the pilot) 3. The flaps and speed brake must both be fully retracted for the dispenser to work, regardless of any other settings. As the Pilot: 1. Find the programmer, it is located on the left hand side of the cockpit near the controls for fuel. 2. The Flares toggle switch you will see has the option of Flares or Normal; If set to Flares it will ignore any programming you have done and with each press of the Countermeasures dispense button it will release one flare. At the most very basic if you switch this to Flares and have flares loaded you will be able to release 1 Flare per press. In the Flares position, it will allow the Pilot to dispense flares at will, it will not prevent the WSO from releasing countermeasures nor will it alter the WSO's CCU settings. If set to Normal; each press of the dispense countermeasures button will follow what you have selected on the CCU (In WSO cockpit) or the Programmer (in the pilots cockpit) If you just want to be able to dispense flares, throw it on the Flares option and you are set. The AN-ALE-40 Power Indicator on the panel will; Display an amber light for the Flares option if it is selected Display a green light when the switch is set to Normal, AND any of the Chaff or Flare mode knobs are in an active position (if they are all off it won't light up - or work) No light if the panel is not active 3. If the toggle switch is in Normal mode you will need to utilise the programmer to set how you want to dispense the countermeasures. Chaff and Flare options are available here and you will notice two knobs for each option. Intervals are always measure in seconds; Chaff Burst; The count knob gives you the option of 1,2,3,4,6 or 8 per button press the interval gives the option of 0.1 - 0.4 seconds between each release chaff Chaff Salvo; the count knob gives you the option of 1, 2, 4, 8 or C (continuous) for the number of salvos you want per button press the interval is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 or R (random) seconds per salvo Flare Burst; the count knob gives you the option of 1, 2, 4, 8 or C (continuous) amount of flares release per button press the interval is 3, 4, 6, 8 or 10 seconds between salvos. Hi, ironically I was looking for a MiG-21F-13 model, but what I sourced is closer to the MF, minus the GP-9 gun pod and missing intrinsic gun. So in a very real sense we'll make do with what we can acquire for free or at reasonable cost. Based on the comments on the MiG-21bis I've changed the SFM table slightly. We're looking for additional eyes on the current dev model of the MiG-21MF. If you're interested in fighting against the AI only MiG-21MF and want to help with development please send me a DM here and/or join our discord at https://discord.gg/Jyr8a27K and ping me there. Especially results from dogfights between F-4E (player) and MiG-21MF (AI) would be of interest. Cheers, TeTeT2 points

Thank you for the feedback. The names are chosen mostly in reference to how they are called officially in the real plane. To also make it easier for anyone using the real manuals. We can improve the name by adding (Chaff/Flare) to it. To make it easier to discover via the search function [emoji106] That said, I recommend using the categories. Selecting the Countermeasures category will reveal it immediately. Similiar for other binds.2 points

Settling with power and vortex wing state are not the same. One is a power management problem (settling with power) the other is an aerodynamic problem (vortex ring state). Settling with power comes about when you’ve allowed a rate of descent to build that you don’t have power to stop. I.e. you’re descending at 800fpm but only have power to stop a 500fpm rate of descent without over torquing or exceeding engine limits and drooping the rotor. Vortex ring state requires all three of the commonly quoted items to exist at the same time to get into and is the result of the inboard portion of the rotor system developing a second set of vortices that stalls the rotor.2 points
