  2. Hey Rich, the Pilot Boat can be seen in the countries listed. It's at the bottom listed under each country as [CIV] Pilot Boat. Hey Dargaard01, the Rebel Ship has been updated, and as you can see it sinks now. I also added damage textures to it. With that said everyone the Rebel Ship update 1.0.3 has been uploaded to Admiral189 DCS World Mods I will create another rebel ship in the near future. I tried to add a damaged model I created for the Rebel Ship to the file it but it doesn't appear in the game. If someone is familiar with how to make the damaged AI Ship models appear in DCS like the damaged armored vehicles let me know. It was done in the past. Thanks

  3. Do I really have to ping a mod to clean out the last few pages? I made a public update / statement on things, it really didn't need to be discussed and analyzed. The situation is this: - I am working on the App when I have time, as always. - Public releases have to be timed, as I add things internally, way before they are ever in public DCS Builds, as the DCS Testers use the app as well. - I am aware of both the MT Launch issue and the threading issue, both are limited variable exceptions, and have been fixed internally. - I will release new/ general updates on things when I can, which is why I posted that update, without singling out any specific individuals on any community platform, but there really isn't a need to ping anyone *(whether it be me or any other devs for that matter) repeatedly w/ the same question, even if the situation was different, it would be harassing / annoying never the less. As I am a busy person, I don't always have time to respond to every forum PM, Profile Post, Discord Ping, Discord PM, Facebook Ping, Post, DM,. etc etc etc. - My update was to advise the public of the situation, to give an update and to ask politely not to ping repeatedly, not to open up my daily routine to analysis and opinions, and furthermore, discussing it back and forth, has the opposite effect of what I asked for, here specifically. So, that being said, I ask that everyone move on, There is no need to discuss it further, and there is no need for snarky, condescending, under the breath, one liner comments randomly in reply to someone else. I've had a look at the files, despite the version number not being updated and it appears there were changes last month, one of which is the "added rocket ccip cue distance indicator" which is new for the 0.7.0 update. The "Read Me" file has been updated last month, along with the "Flir fixes" so looks like 0.7.0 is there, just not on the latest version link. I've downloaded from: https://github.com/luizrenault/a-29b-community/archive/refs/heads/v2.9.0.47168ob.zip rather than the latest version link, all the files in there are from September 2024, whereas the latest version link is still October 2023. So either download direct from the link above or go to: https://github.com/luizrenault/a-29b-community and select "Code" in green and click "Download.zip" and not latest release.

  5. Nutz doch die freie Sicht an dem Objekt. Also beispielsweise mit F2 das fragliche Flugzeug auswählen oder mit F9 ein Schiff etc… Dann RStrg + F2. Damit kannst Du dann wie im Egoshooter mit WASD Deine Position ändern. Mit RStrg + Num* ode Num/ kannst Du auch noch den Field of view ändern. So kann man sehr coole Perspektiven a la GoPro erzeugen, also z.B. Kamera über der Schulter des Piloten o.Ä…. Ich spiel damit momentan auch viel rum weil ich mich erstmal mit einem kleinen Video versuche.   6. really no need for the sarcasm, our team has a full range of PC's from high to low end. Even then its not always possible to test every hardware, software or BIOS setting combination, some machines can behave completely different. It is important if you really are having issues to make a thread with the dcs log and dxdiag so we can look for clues. thanks

  7. I applaud that ED is at least working on this, and there are legitimate debates between realism and gameplay. I have noticed a drop on CW era PvP servers because of spotting changes. I know it's part of tactics etc. to not be observed; but for many it isn't fun when you can't spot anything; you know there's a bad guy trying to get you, and if you do get tally the moment you look away it's not guarantee you'll reacquire. Ultimately I view spotting dots as a mechanism to fill in the gaps as to what the game engine can't do. Current rendering doesn't account for things like the glint or reflection of an aircraft, for example, or other subtle hints that help with spotting. Anti-aliasing options and sharpening do affect your spotting experience (MSAA tends to be the best. In VR the other options are hopeless). It's unfortunate because you can get good spotting but that involves rolling down your resolution(I'm a Crystal user). At 200% super sample in the foveated area dots are nigh impossible to spot and you're jsut relying on the game's default rendering(which can be tricky with phasing LODs coming in and out in the 2-5nm band). In comparison, I ramp down the resolution to 70% and spotting becomes pretty easy - but completely renders the point of my getting this headset to be pointless lol. There's something about the ppd of the Reverb G2 that seems to be a pretty good sweetspot from what I've seen, hence I tuned my resolution to be closer to that. Hoepfully future patches resolve this as I'd very much enjoy the visual fidelity of the Crystal alongside the dot spotting capability of the G2

  8. Hi Eduardo! I’ve never used OvGME, so I don’t know if it’s easy to use with the mod or not. However, if there’s something specific about the installation process that could help others test the mod, I encourage you to create a short "how-to" guide and mark it as a solution. Regarding performance, I’m sure that textures (which consume VRAM) and animations (which use GPU resources) might cause things to slow down a bit. I’m doing my best to keep the polycount low and use textures carefully to avoid performance issues. Kind regards!

  10. What I want to see is a tear down of the unit. Then you can see if they cut corners with the design of the unit. Quality control is really only something that you can determine over time, by looking at how many people run into QA issues.

  11. Back in business! I had to reinstall Quantum GIS 2 which, for some reason, is often way faster to simplify polygons. Next step: rivers. I'll have to draw them by hand, unless I find a new way of doing it.

If anything, we are going to lose options there; the missile only performs a main beam avoidance maneuver after launch and then guides to an intercept point via a very basic radio datalink to a point at which the seeker activates. Currently, we can manually loft it, but that isn't quite correct.

  13. Known internally. Supposedly the radar should not enter memory mode on gimbal limits the track should just break, but the missile should recover in memory mode otherwise. I have an automatic test that tests this precise mode every patch

It's not solved, I get notifications through nearly 2 dozen apps that are used for more than just DCS, I don't have the time to go through and mute DCS related things while leaving important things unmuted. The solution would be for users to be polite and simply do what I asked, which has pretty much been done already, so after I asked it became a non-issue, I don't see where the need to tell me how to setup my phone came from.

Am not too sure what would be defined as early evening, however these may be your picks(but it depends on how serious you want to go): (albeit recruitment won't occur until later in the year) They both start 1830Z (well, DCAF is 1830 GMT or BST, so it accounts for daylight savings). Otherwise I suspect if it's very much afternoon focussed you'd have to consider finding a Middle Eastern or Indian group Cheers, Peter @dutchili (for visibility in case I misrepresented your group) In terms of something that may be more initially casual, Wild Wolves could be a place to look(they're predominantly UK based so I suspect their timings are earlier?)

  20. The MiG-29 is not an air superiority fighter but rather a short-range interceptor used for air defense. It quickly flies to a target, kills the target, and leaves the airspace just as fast as a smaller, less powerful version of the MiG-31. The issue in the Flaming Cliffs series is the lack of the Lazur datalink, which operates on the HUD and directs the pilot on where to fly and what to do. In DCS World, the absence of this data link, along with the removal of the tactical display from the MFD by the developers, has made the MiG-29 a weaker and less competitive aircraft. This unfortunately pushes players towards purchasing other products if they want to engage in BVR combat against advanced jets like the FA-18C and F-16CM, making the MiG-29 feel more like a target drone. This can be discouraging for new players. Even with a clickable cockpit, the MiG-29 won't necessarily improve you'll just have access to more buttons and features. However, it still won’t have the MiG-29M’s radar with ±85 degrees azimuth capability, which allows for beam maneuver, while you can track your target with target lock, and strong radar and eight missiles that would make it more competitive and enjoyable. The current radar is still too weak to effectively support the R-27ER missile. The R-77 missile works better, as its range is shorter at low and medium altitudes, and since it uses ARH guidance, it doesn't need a highly capable radar, just something that occasionally shows where the missile should go to intercept the target . If you want to engage in BVR combat, the Flanker is the best choice. That's why it would be useful to have HUD display radar modes, which would improve BVR efficiency, plus, it's a feature that exists in real Flankers. Unfortunately, the developers are reluctant to allow the use of prototype missiles like the R-27AE, an ARH missile that could help mitigate these issues. They often rely on the argument of secret, inaccessible documents. However, part of what could make the game great is the ability to simulate prototype missiles. The Su-25TM is a prototype, and the AI-controlled Su-30 is also a prototype. The Flankers lack full datalink functionality as well, for example, the Su-33 is controlled by the Kuznetsov to target certain enemies, but the Kuznetsov lacks basic GCI features or even the S300 SAM system located on the deck. Flankers should be able to share air targets with each other via datalink, or the AWACS could show targets on the HUD. The Flanker is even better at what the Fulcrum was designed for, being a true air superiority and air defense aircraft, thanks to its datalink. With a few small changes, the developers could earn significantly more revenue, and no one would mock DCS World as a 'NATO target drone simulator' for those who want to exclusively fly Russian or Soviet aircraft. It's frustrating that players are continually forced to fly against post 2000 NATO aircraft with advanced avionics, while using Flankers and Fulcrums on the 1980s era. Simply adding the R-27AE, which could be made by tweaking just three lines of code from the R-27ER, would relieve a lot of players' frustrations. Unfortunately, this is the situation. You either have to practice more or stop flying yourself over these issues that the developers seem unwilling to address in any way. No one should hope that we will get an advanced Russian Flanker or Fulcrum after 2000 within 30 years, that's why the problem should be alleviated with such easy to do options, or it should be solved completely! Everything is given to the R-27AE, but no one wants it! Sorry if I'm being honest, and thank you, I'm not asking for an ED marketing text about what kind of simulator this is because they've been drilling my brain with it for 15 years! I just wrote ideas and that's it!

  21. The motor propellant temperature starts at roughly sea level ambient where it was stored. It takes hours and hours for the propellant to equilibrate with the outside temperature, certainly not within a single F-14 sortie.

Если наши "Кинжал" под Су-25 сфоткают, тоже будем реализовывать?:) Имхо. даже для ботов нужно что-то большее, чем просто фотки(касаемо самолётов, требующих внесения изменений в авионику, как в данном случае), хотя-бы какое-то писание, как это реализовано. Ибо, если это реализация уровня "Долетел до заданной точки на нужной скорости и просто произвёл отцеп" - тога можно для кого угодно добавлять такое)) Ну такое себе выйдет.

  27. Well, I was kinda hoping before the sale ends. I don't need any new modules. but I was thinking of getting another module just coz there's a sale on, coz you know "Hey honey - I saved $$$'s" . I've hesitated this time round I've been waiting for the patch/fixes that have broken things since the last update to be released first because honestly, I have been flying much less lately due to issues and just don't want to sink more doh into something if there's gong to be ongoing issues for a while longer and keeping me flying less.

We have been doing some heavy testing on this and have decided for this upcoming patch to roll back the changes so that we have more time to prepare a system that will adjust the don't based on what headset you are using (or if you are on 2D). We are also looking to see if some options to adjust yourself would make sense as well. We are sorry for the delays on this but trying to test across a broad sample of setups does take time.

  30. Мне вот тоже пока нечего покупать из модулей. Перенасыщение синих. Взял Апач, F18C, A10C, теперь по синим вопрос закрыт, уж очень похожи остальные и нового геймплея несут мало (Чинук не особо интересен). Интересны теперь только красные +- современные кликабы. Миг 29 конечно куплю и больше нечего даже из анонсированного брать. Ну и конечно совсем печаль что нет кликабельных наших штурмовиков даже в анонсах. А так с грустью вспоминаю Lock on, с кучей наших самолетов и переговорами пилотов на русском языке в главном меню или в загрузке карты, не помню. Атмосферненько было. Играл еще на клаве и офигевал какая крутая игра. Ждем, надеемся.

  31. Hey everyone. The Pilot Boat is broken. Not sure what's going on with it so it has gone to the shipyard. However, I have created a newly updated Pilot Boat mod that I have been meaning to create and I guess this is the best time to do it. I created her the old-fashioned way with textures not in Substance Painter so if you all like you can create some liveries. This model is based on the Pilot Boats in California and Canada at least from what I can see. I'm finishing her up now for release tomorrow. Tuesday, September 24th. Stay Tuned.

Come on man, it still has clouds that are invisible to AI and IR, much realism Currently, improved spotting dot is not working as intended for people in VR as it is in 2D. Now, you have to understand that stating it is realistic because it works for you, is just egoistic and not helping to achieve exactly what you wrote. Other pc sim game ("ekhm" that is supposedly even higher in realism than DCS, "ekhm") has somehow managed to fix the spotting issue with smart scaling. Having an open discussion about possible options can only help with achieving exactly that in DCS as well, so let's try to fix what is broken and then adjust for realism.

  35. How can dots ever be fair across resolutions? And the trouble with a “stand in” is that once introduced you’ll never be able to get rid of it even if the game had fantastic rendering otherwise. People would just howl if the spotting was akin to the real world because they’ve become accustomed to labels as such. The dot is just a label after all. PS I tried lowering my resolution and honestly couldn’t see much difference between the dots at 1080p vs 4K, there are screenshots a few pages back

  36. Thanks, I had set hotkeys for both on/off and reload. It seems the effects are on by default, but I check before entering the sim itself. Be great if they get it to run while IN VR at some point!

  38. I think by now its pretty clear that you dont like your virtual WSO and prefer the options to deactivate him and control both pits by urself - which is fair, that is your opinion after all. I dont know what they did but i cant play in servers like Enigma anymore and i could with no problem its annoying and it totally broke the game for me . enemy planes are completly INVISIBLE to me under 5nm.. im done with this and as from yesterday im not playing anymore in servers with labels or chevrons disabled becuase for the last 5 months i havent able to spot enemy players near me.. and i know they are there.. AWACS and CGI are telling me preciselly where they are ..i know they are there but there is nothing there.. zoom in..zoom out ..nothing.. if they get too close and the game renders the jet i might be able to see them and if they are too far (beyond 5nm) i see a dot more or less small but bellow that its like if the game simple doesnt render them... so i 99% of the times end up in a 2 circle fight with an invisible enemy until i simply die by someone who aparently can see me very well.. ITs completelly broken and useless and really urges me to uninstall the game and just move on with BMS.. Oh and im in a 23" 1080p monitor.. not a 1440 or 4K .. tried with the "improved spotting dots" option enabled and disabled.. doesnt make a difference to me im using MSAA 2X ...and yes 5-6months ago i could see people in Enigma or with labels/chevrons disabled nearby.. wich is what made those servers fun as it was pure mark 1 eyeball gameplay ... now its just the game insulting and spitting at me made a test in offline vs 2 MIG-25s ..i can see their dot at 11nm ... but once near merge they are just gone (second screenshot wich is at less than 5nm)

  42. Keep in mind guys who already bought it from ED shop based on cherry-picked teaser media published before, cannot refund it. I'd say the issue is not the matter of "black and white" perception, but rather a question of what one gets for his money here compared to other products. It's one of the most advertized releases from ED and yet, many of current 3rd party maps (or even some older ED ones) are simply superior as far as low altitude quality is concerned (where it really matters for majority of players who are going to use it). And they offer that better quality for equal or lower price. Comparisons with other DCS maps are unavoidable then, especially when people expect ED to proudly lead in fidelity race rather than lag behind or even step back. Granted, the region depicted is in EA phase indeed, so it can certainly be improved. However, if you stay with DCS as long as some of us, you will eventually notice that modules tend to stay in EA / "kinda-sorta-good enough" state for years, with only game crashing bugs being dealt with swiftly while the rest of the issues usually end up in "low priority" development barrel, rarely to be fished out of it again, if ever. At the same time bulk of ED workforce immediately moves to other projects (remaining Afghan parts, Iraq and WWII Marianas in this case I presume), 'cause that's what keeps DCS business running. As such, "it will only get better from here" should rather be rephrased as "it might only get better from here". But will it - remains to be seen, though everyone obviously hopes it will. Still, If you enjoy the map already in its current state, that's the most important thing. Have fun!

  43. You misunderstood what I meant. I meant for there to be a way of having an A-10A full fidelity upgrade option available as a different module just like there is going to be one for the A-10C Thunderbolt II. The plain old A-10C will still be there in your aircraft menu but after purchasing the upgrade there will be one for the A-10C II as a different module. So there could be one for the plain simple FC3 A10A and a different module for a full fidelity A-10A. And no, the A10C in game mode is more of a cheat mode. I am looking for the full realistic clickable cockpit experience in a more straight forward operation with out the complexities of MFD's.
