  3. Thank you all for the positive comments! I'd really like to keep adding to the mod but I've sort of hit the limits of what the current weather engine can do. For example, I'd like to add more cirrus cloud textures. Currently the game can only use 4 texture files for cirrus. I'd also like to see better density and contrast in the clouds. Hopefully the weather engine will make its way back into the development cycle for ED soon.

  5. They are missing a trick if they don’t! Bandits work is nothing short of incredible. The ‘feel’ of the environment with any of his presets is much more natural, and shows just how ‘gamey’ the ED sets are. Bandits sets are much more believable, and I’m not too shy to admit - I have been driving home from work before and thought to myself whilst looking above the traffic ahead “hmmm . . . Bandits Cirrocumulus . . . “. This is a shining example of what a talented individual who really understands their subject, can produce. And we ALL benefit from it. Really can’t praise this Mod highly enough.

  6. It matters... me and others try to help you and spending time on this but you refuse to answer one SIMPLE question. My patience is over now. Don't ask and don't complain about a messed up mod if you don't want to get help or if you are too stubborn to answer simple questions.

  9. hi TOMCATERS ! here is some news from FRANCE , my pit progress, but i miss the U parts , the vertical one of the windscreen above the instrument panel, i've no plan, no drawing of it ? did someone have a plan of this part ? i've the front windshield part , but not the vertical one. i take a picture of AUSMUMBLES to illustrate with a red arrow Best regards

  10. Decided to do a video explaining our Dynamic Vietnam Mission the boys and I are constantly working on. The primary bird in use and what really makes this possible is the Cayuse. Having the ability to scout and drop smoke is was kicked this coop mission off. Really appreciate all the hard work the mod makers are putting into this. It is beyond well received and the focal point of at least 1 to 2 flights a week. And yes, 1.51 works great. The guy above clearly installing it wrong. The several jitters in this video happened after the most recent patch. A quick fix patch released today so I hope that corrected the abnormalities I was experiencing when I shot this video.

  13. No nothing known about that. But there were a lot of cases with bad Installation showing that behaviour. @DmitriKozlowsky does not want to check basic things to find the reason so I would like to move on and keep this thread clean from that.

Well, so far so good i was able to edit the mod an make it work with some issues: 1.- I wasnt able to reproduce all the effects from the original mod because shaders errors at loading. 2.- Because of that the Catapult Steam effect SHOULD not be exactly the same as before. Tested and working well but maybe is not the same. 3.- I wasnt able to make the explosions smoke last longer, even editing the World.lua where the times should be expanded. I cant find where to edit that parameter to make the smoke last longer as before. But the effects, color, lod distance are working as expected. 4.- No crashes on my end on any explosion of any ordinance ( cluster bombs, CBU, Mk series ) 5.- Water Explosions working with the different tone. 6.- is VERY POSSIBLE that i´ve made some mistakes on some files so DONT EXPECT TO BE AS THE ORIGINAL MOD with everything. 7.- OVGME ready. Just delete _EDITED from the zip file name, if OVGME doesnt recognize it. If anyone with a wider knowledge can be able to search and try to fix the smoke time, the rest is working as far as i know. DISCLAIMER: This mod was created by Taz1004. All credits go for him. If someone thinks i should not edit his mod i will remove the link.   20. My feedback. Quest 3 Toolkit 3500x3800. No Quad views, I don't like it. Awful and disgusting. Continue seeing unwanted dots all around my airspace. If you want it, keep it, but come on, I want to disable it completely and this option continues without working. I don't like your implementation nor your imposition to have it.   22. I was looking into the mod files searching for changes, and trying to adapt to the new files that have changed with the updates. There are several changes so far, but its beyond my knowledge to edit all files to the new DCS standard. Some are easy to adapt, but the ones with .fx subfix are a little complicated and everytime i try to edit them im running into shaders errors loading DCS. Now my brain is exhausted, but i will try later.

Major changes were done by James J Jackson and TeTeT on the Database\EnterpriseRunwaysAndRoutes.lua and some changes to cvn-65.lua.   25. Seems we found the core reason to be in the Runway and Taxi routes definitions for the cat. We moved them back by 3.5 meters now, testing is still on-going. We have some problems with cat 4 hook-ups, rest seems to be sorted. Stay tuned for 0.1.1 update if the tests are good.

  26. I just want the ability to turn OFF Improved Spotting Dots, or just Spotting Dots in general. Go play IL-2 and see how its done. It's simple. STOP RENDERING BIG BLACK DOTS OVER THE AIRCRAFT AND GROUND TARGETS. Even the parachutes now have black dots, same as the aircraft, same as the ships on the sea.. thus.. they all look the same. It's horrible in VR.

  29. Greetings! There was a wish on the forums for some new Colorado F-16s in Have Glass. The ones on user files are outdated and need a overhaul so wish granted! Oh yeah I made 4. 2 line jets with color and black/white tail stripes. Each one has configs for plain have glass tanks and pylons and the default gray tanks and pylons. I highly suggest you download texac's tank textures to replace ED's. My screenshots with gray tanks all use texac's tanks. The link is in the improved F-16 texture template PDF on user files. There is the 140th Wing flagship. It has configs for plain have glass tanks and pylons and the default gray tanks. I also made a custom helmet for it(the black one). If you don't want the custom helmet replace it with the standard helmet texture. There is a custom flagship skin I made. I think looks pretty good. I made a custom helmet (the blue one) and a custom 300 gal tank for it. They all have dynamic borts, mipmaps, squadron pilot patches. Planning to upload Wednesday/Thursday.   32. Hi, a longstanding bug in the F-16 has been nearly solved in 2.9.9.2280, I link to the original description here. This is with respect to the guidance provided when pressing weapon release in CCIP mode if the weapon impact point is below the HUD. In this case, the F-16 provides both steering guidance to the release point via the release cue and the azimuth steering line (ASL). Solved bug: Contrary to before, the ASL steering line now indeed guides towards the designated CCIP target point as long as the weapon release button stays pressed. Thanks for finally solving this, ED! Remaining bug: The target designation cue (circle with dot) should become ground-stabilized at the selected ground point upon depressing weapon release in CCIP mode. Currently, it becomes ground-stabilized at the calculated impact point at the moment of button press. This is incorrect for the delayed release, as that ground position does not correspond to the designated target point used by the FCC. Evidence: redacted please use PM next time. Track file: Provided track file shows this behavior. Target selected by holding WPN Release is the center of the two runways. After target designation, airplane is maneuvered to reveal CCIP designation has been ground-stabilized at a point well below the original flightpath. Well ... it's a long internal debate between Miguel21 and me In fact I didn't want to transform DCE into a mission generator like it exists elsewhere and I was afraid that this possibility of only choosing what you want to do could harm certain campaigns that are more scripted than others like those of Cyprus or Beirut. On the other hand, it is true that the DCE system does not always offer logical missions as we would like with the classic SEAD, EWR, bases, other targets scheme and this MP type option can make it possible to compensate for these system errors if the player use correctly.   38. I am not sure whether this is a troll post or not. I suppose it is, since you are comparing FC3 magic aircraft with a full-fidelity, excellent module. On top of that, the F-14 we have still sports the '60s combination of AWG-9 and AIM-54, so of course, it should have more issues in this department. Still, a decent RIO greatly offset this, giving the advantage to the F-14. So, do you want to play this somewhat realistically? Then, you should use AIM-54C and AIM-7M versus R-27. Especially with the F-14A, you are much faster than the Su-27, so keep the speed up and blow-through if necessary.

  43. I've been following this thread with quite some interest for a while now as I'm very curious about the current INS behaviour and accuracy. Unfortunately I feel like the thread is steering off topic by a lot now, as the original question by @Nealius was targeted at the accuracy and behaviour of the F-16s INS and its interaction with GPS, not about JDAM accuracy, so I don't really understand why there is all this talk and tests on JDAM accuracy now. As @Lord Vader has pointed out several times in this thread, JDAM guidance doesn't work properly as of now (at least if used with INS provided STPs) and is very much WIP atm. tldr: JDAM accuracy is a different issue than the accuracy of the F-16s INS. I would very much like to see this thread to go back to address the original question if the F-16s INS is actually doing what it's supposed to do and if GPS and manual fixes update it properly, so that it is possible to deliver unguided munitions precisely as described in the original post by @Nealius: @Nealius I would also appreciate it if you could use the Caucasus map to demonstrate the issues that you're seeing, not just because not everyone has the Kola map available, but also because the map itself might introduce issues (Kola has a very broad range of varying magnetic declination, which might play a role here). So it would be good to know if you experience the same issues using the Caucasus map.

  46. Since the new patch this week the pilot can no longer see what his human WSO see's on radar. You can see the cursor move, but top readouts do not work and there are no radar returns. If the human WSO leaves the aircraft, Jester takes over and the radar works. As soon as the human WSO rejoins, the radar again only displays the grid and radar cursor. This currently makes the F-4 unplayable as a two player aircraft.
