HELLO EVERYONE, don't panic, the successive updates of ED have put us out of action, but now everything is repaired on the MQ-9 Prédator you will be able to going back on a mission, two small bugs even though the landing gear returns but with a few jerks and the night control room is not lit. We are looking for why the (L) button does not work. We will put the mod for download on the first page of this post very soon THIS MOD WORKS WITH VERSION 2.87 up to 2.910, we have not tested earlier versions maybe it also works. (still in save game as before). THE RAFALE PACK IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND ETON IS WELL ON WAY TO GET THE ENTIRE MOD WORKING. @Jetguy06 I would suggest adding it like the other payloads are added in the payloads.lua in Coremods, with a specific function following that same structure. It doesn't need to be this way but in this way you'll have examples that are easy to follow. You'll also need to change the default argument for the pylon from 0.0 to 0.15 or 0.25. Keep in mind that pylon drag won't be correctly modeled in this case. Another option is to wait for the January/February update, as we will be including the option with correctly modeled drag. Most of the work is done internally, so it's a matter of how long it takes for it to reach you depending on the update schedule.6 points

These are quick and simple F/A-18C weapon practice missions. They are designed to get you quickly in a position to practice the use of a particular weapon. There are multiple targets generated randomly so normally each flight should be different. так и есть, руководство к модулю в работе. И это просто нужно принять. Ни кто и не обещал полного руководства для модуля, который не в релизе. Тем не менее, даже после появления мануала, на все вопросы все равно там не будет всех ответов. Хотя бы потому, что реальная "Инструкция экипажу вертолета Ми-24П" далеко не всё охватывает, что хочет узнать игрок DCS: Ми-24П)). В реальной жизни летчик многие вещи, которые может позволить себе игрок, ни разу не пробовал и не попробует, т.к. не желает портить дорогостоящую технику и потом за это отвечать. Поэтому действует строго по методичкам/инструкциям, не выходя за параметры, не нарушая порядок, не пробуя варианты, не указанные в инструкциях (ТО). А игрок - может. И наша задача сделать модель такой, которая бы наиболее полно отражала бы ответы на вопросы типа: "А что будет, если...". Чтобы было интересно играть. Конечно не все готово.. И вряд ли будет на 100% идеально в итоге)) Но многое будет готово, многое будет исправлено.4 points

I'll let you know when the goal post stops moving. In the meantime I think a development update is past due. DEVELOPMENT UPDATE: The AI_ATC was originally conceived as an emersion tool for single player missions that could provide some useful instruction. Since posting the video back in August, It has evolved into a study level ATC simulator that's multiplayer capable. "STUDY" being the key word there. Treat it like a new module you have to study and practise to get the most out of it. I think it will be a great tool for virtual pilots to practise realistic ATC procedures and Phraseology. The AI_ATC system is completely modular so it can be added to any mission on the NTTR map, allowing people to design their own missions around it. I have had the extremely good fortune of collaborating with some incredible people. They have been instrumental in driving the project in the right direction. So when is it going to be released? I would say its ~ 85% complete, although I'm sure I'll keep finding new features to add along the way. Hoping to put a showcase video out soon.4 points

Back in 2022 I got a razer blade 15, i9 12 gen rtx 3080ti, 64 gb ram -- a sweet gaming laptop. my fps was getting mid30s-mid40s asw after doing all the typical pc perf tweaks - turning off gpu hardware acceleration, core isolation, using hp power plan, mbuccia quad views (dyanmic using a quest pro). i did it all. seemed every dcs version had to do a bit more tweaks -- perhaps tweaking some core affinites, changing system priority, etc..). the helis would have the heaving fps hit -- caucaus a-10ii was usually pretty smooth. i was getting tired of spending most of my time tweaking the settings and then just living with the occasional stutter, or something otherwise less than ideal so i could at least play a bit. in hindsight, i realized I should've just built a pc. the advantages of having a gaming laptop back in 2022 for me are different now, and i would love to have an semi-perm spot in my place for flight simming, where a mid-tower would make sense. i do like gaming in other spots in my place, which the laptop allows, yet i'm disappointing in the constant fight i have for dcs. so I solved it... a week ago, when online -- got a i9 14 gen, rtx 4090, 128 gb ram, z790, mid tower atx, cooler, etc... surprised all the components showed in a week (though I do live in los angeles). anyhow, all those youtube videos where folks are having max settings flying at 90fps? that's me now!!! vr problems solved! see ya on TTI!!3 points

Ja, du kannst die Mission starten und dann z. B. mit der Kamera auf irgendeine Boden-Einheit springen (auf der F10 Karte anklicken und F7). Jetzt Rechts_Strg + F2 (Objetct local camera). Dann kannst du mit WASD, Q, E und Maus die Kameraposition frei bewegen. Mit gehaltener Shift Taste geht die Bewegung schneller.3 points

A flight sim should still be fun to play. It's not a full-fidelity life simulator. It's a flight simulator. If you want to be realistic about battle damage repair, the timer should be 170 days not seconds. Hence, re-spawn and fly again. Just fly the sim, folks.3 points

There's a "bomb in zone" and "missile in zone" trigger. I'd like to see a "bullet in zone" trigger as well. I made a mission where I need to divert a plane, and I would like to do it so he responds to a warning shot across his nose.3 points

There is a lot of talk about all the bases in Afghanistan but I think we are missing a much more important piece: Afghan People - One (better more) civilian male(s) and female(s) (with different liveries like with the insurgent pack) - A civilian crowd to create busy market street (similar to the airshow crowd) - Unarmed/civilian versions of the armed pickup trucks with cargo and/or people as payload and one or two civilian vehicles typical to Afghanistan (a motorcycle with two civilians/insurgents on it for example). - An Afghan police officer as well as a typical Afghan police car. - Afghan Military Soldiers (Rifle, RPG, LMG) - A loaded pack donkey/mule and one with a rider. - A goat (with different liveries to create a herd) - A few placeable Afghan buildings (those from the Caucasus look really out of place!) I think those assets could really bring the Afghanistan map to life. What do you think Here a few examples: Cheers DSP2 points

Here is a google maps link to a selection of fixed site DMPIs I collated. Given the limits of google maps layers, I will create another for mobile positions soon. I have only processed the information into a visible format, The data is based on the 'Command: Modern Operations' database. I cannot take any credit for its creation or verify the accuracy of the data. It is meant purely as a starting point for content creators to have something on which to base their missions. The remainder of displaced Iraqi ground forces are moving north from Kuwait towards Basra. They have set ablaze several hundred oil wells during their retreat. Any vehicles along MSR 80 within Kuwait or MSR 8 in Iraq is to be considered hostile and should be neutralized before they can regroup and engage coalition forces advancing from the Southwest. Designer notes: F/A-18As from VFA-15 flew from USS Theodore Roosevelt and engaged targets on the 25-27th February 1991 in what would become known as 'The Highway of Death'. This scenario is inspired by these sorties and is not meant to accurately represent any single mission or attack. Due to the limitations of DCS F/A-18Cs will be a stand in for As and DL & HMCS is disabled. The convoy is very close to WP3 and can easily be seen on A/G RADAR. Even though the southern part of the Iraq map does not feature any buildings it is still useable and has some decent textures. I think for this mission it works as is. Highway of Death.miz2 points

Yes, if you check all my changelogs you'll see that I have to update a lot of the weapons because ED keeps changing either the missile scheme or hardcoded core game parameters. About 6 months ago I had to update a lot of weapons because of these changes. For example: HIMARS ATACMS HIMARS PrSM HIMARS PrSM antiship HIMARS GLSDB HIMARS GMLRS M270 GLSDB M270 GMLRS M270 ATACMS M777 Excalibur B-21 AGM-88G DF-21D PCL-181 GP155 Type 055 YJ-21 Iskander 9M723 Grigorovich Frigate RBU-6000 Artillerisystem 08 Excalibur PzH 2000 Excalibur AFT-10 HJ-10 CV9050 Spike LR2 RBS 58 FGM-148 The updated weapons won't perform as realistic as the old versions, but the alternative would be to remove them.2 points

To bring our F-5E more in line with the Swiss F-5E operating with US forces, we are open to investigating the addition of the digital radios and the INS. Liquid rocket engines produce significantly less smoke than solid fuel engines. We will slightly increase the smoke density of the second stage of SA-2 missile, but do not expect too much noticeable smoke. In the future, we will introduce a dependence of smoke visibility on air temperature. At negative temperatures, a noticeable contrail is formed there. SA-3 missile is completely solid fuel and its smoke will be solid too.2 points

I belong to the people who want to get rid of all reflections for myself . That's because... 1. I'm almost 80 and my eyes are not what they used to be. So everything that reduces visibility puts extra strain on my eyes and brain, and reduces the fun. 2. These effects require processing power, and I'm not willing to pay for ever more hardware performance and the questionable benefit of seeing less clearly. I'm happy if I can eliminate these disturbances for myself via some setting, and let other people enjoy the realism of reflections.2 points

Unfortunately, it didn't make it into the OB, but I can say that it works brilliantly. Now both sensors TGP and Maverick are Aligned, which makes it even more accurate from the first feeling. Previously it was the Maverick and SPI that were aligned which led to the problem here and a small inaccuracy2 points

Is there a plan to make Baghdad more detailed and accurate? I spent a year there and did a little looking around via Combined Arms the other day. The roads are definitely accurate and some of the major landmarks are there but not well detailed. Some buildings like the Presidential Palace (old US Embassy) are not accurate. Also, what year/era is the map supposed to be based on?2 points

Hello everyone, I am emotionally attached here and have overshot the mark. I sincerely apologize for that! This module is very important to me and in the past few weeks I have been training two new DCS pilots on this module. And I would like to do this as completely and error-free as possible. Unfortunately, I feel that my issue is not sufficiently addressed with the answer Center Zero and SPI and is less resolved than dismissed. When someone then asks me, as a small user, to submit technical documents to support my request, I wonder on what basis this module is being developed. It seems to me as if I were driving my car to the workshop and saying that something is rattling, and they tell me why I think that this shouldn't be the case and that I should show them the manufacturer's manual. But maybe this was just a translation error or misunderstanding. I apologize! If I am so wrong and misunderstood the topic I am addressing, perhaps someone would be willing to explain the following point to me. For my understanding and as far as it has been confirmed to me here, when I move the SPI I create a delta or offset to the waypoint or markpoint selected as the current steerpoint. And only to this steerpoint, not to any other waypoint or markpoint, or whatever! And with Center Zero or TMS down I set the delta back to zero. That is how I have always known it. But now to what I am convinced was not the case two months ago and which makes absolutely no logical sense to me. Please correct me here. - Why does the EHSI (Electronic Horizontal Situation Indicator) show the exact position of the SPI in direction and distance as soon as I move the SPI and create the so-called delta, and not the distance and direction of my selected steerpoint. - And why, if I don't reset to CZ and switch through the waypoints, every other waypoint switched as a steerpoint is changed by the same delta on the EHSI in direction and distance and the position of the waypoint is therefore displayed completely wrong, unless I a.) move the SPI again and thereby create a new delta to the now selected steerpoint/waypoint and then again have this new delta displayed on the EHSI, or b.) press CZ or TMS down and thus reset the SPI and now finally have the correct position of all waypoints switched through displayed on the EHSI again. Why does the delta between SPI and steerpoint affect all other waypoints and markpoints when it should only be related to the current steerpoint? - Likewise, the navigation block on the HUD and on the helmet display should, as far as I understand, show the slant range to the SPI in the third line from the bottom and show the distance to the steerpoint in the bottom line in Nav mode and in A/G mode despite everything. Unfortunately, after moving the SPI, the bottom line is no longer aligned with the actual and actually correct position of the steerpoint. This is what I wanted to show you with the two track files in the original post. Unfortunately, I see my problem here too: if I set 4 mark points and then ripple 4 GBU 38s onto them, as opposed to before, some of the mark points are shifted and the bombs no longer hit. But maybe the cause is something else that I don't understand. I hope you understand my question, despite the translation, and maybe someone can explain this illogical behavior with the F-16C to me. Real time weather doesn't seem such a great idea for a military flight sim unless you intend all your flying to involve A2A above the cloud base or dropping gps standoff weapons from the same height. (...& if that's the case what difference does real time weather make?) Be a shame to log in for a mission only to discover it was postponed due to weather1 point

Allow me to break the prolonged silence with a few clarifying words. The delay in the module's release is currently due to addressing the shortcomings in the flight model identified during the summer certification process by ED. Otherwise, the module is largely ready for early access.1 point
