Heatblur Simulations: Towering over the improvements to the F-14, feature additions to the F-4E and addition of other elements; the biggest development challenge ahead for our team lies with DCS: Eurofighter and getting this mighty jet in your hands. As we progress we look forward to sharing more snippets of development as we start targeting release. There is still a lot of work to be done; but we're excited to experience the Eurofighter together with you all in the virtual skies.16 points

Had to evolve to this eventually - switched to the invisible FARP to get away from the greens on the standard DCS ones. Just don't like them and they sure don't work in desert. Made my own pads from standard DCS statics collection. Came out ok. Now has five full pads and is all natural. Needs level ground to look good. Can't get rid of vegetation inside the camp unfortunately but this FARP fits so many more locations and is great in desert terrain as you'll see in the Syria version. I've adjusted the FARP position to cover all nine squares on all five pads with repair/rearm/refuel services. No dynamic spawn on it this time as it doesn't work well on a busy FARP using invisible one. Thinks there's no free parking space . Caucasus and Syria FARPs attached below. I left the Chinook in but it now always makes my DCS stutter terminally and then can crash when I try to fly it. Major spiking in my FPS counter. Kiowa and Apache are fine anywhere on the FARP but the Chinook seemingly doesn't like something in it. Chokes and kills DCS quite quickly for me. No issues with the Chinook in other missions without this FARP, just in this one. Standard DCS statics only used, should be fine with them. @KrazyPilot - Glad you like them. I've enjoyed making them. I'll try to have a look at a Soviet version, no guarantees though. Caucasus - Hesco FARP - Invisible.miz Syria - Hesco FARP - Invisible.miz4 points

Hi everyone, I wanna share my little project - a modular rumbler/shaker for a T.16000M joystick (the plan is to have adapters for other joysticks as well). I would really appreciate your feedback, tips and thoughts. Basic info: Supports MSFS with a help of a simple program Supports DCS and for now runs only on native FFB HID protocol (no software interface needed) 3D printed drop-in replacement (just remove 3 screws and put it on) Uses an XBox gamepad rumble motor Connected to PC via USB port, no external power needed Should be possible to mount to most joysticks and yokes (columns) DCS Features: Wing buffeting when pulling high AoA, for some ED modules there is also a gun firing feedback Tested so far on Tomcat, Phantom, Viggen, Flaming Cliffs modules, Mustang Prototype demo video DCS Drawbacks: running on native FFB protocol only, reading of in-game telemetry not implemented yet depending on each module whether there is a force feedback modeled (for now) usable with non Fly-By-Wire aircraft only (so no buffeting with F-16, F-18) MSFS Features: Done: vibrations caused by touchdown, flaps, landing gear, wing buffeting and ground roll To-do: overspeed Trying to make it compatible with IL-2 GB too but I've not been able to find the correct joystick descriptor for it to be seen by the game. Thanks for your input! I will keep you posted about my progress.3 points

Hi yes we have an update of this pack. Japanese and American torpedo tanks, we will offer it to you, but there are more urgent things to repair everything in hours and hours in front of the screen. See you soon, thank you. E.&.P3 points

Everyone's acting like they've already parted ways with money for this. "I'm losing hope! Oh woe! Lamentations!" Let's put away the Shakespeare and get a grip. Backend coding work is not sexy and doesn't make for good hype material. Chill out and play with the toys you have. It will arrive when it is ready. If it doesn't? That sucks, but oh well. Nothing really tangible is lost.3 points

It's pretty rough to look at but so far it's working the way i'd hoped. Plenty of power even with a 70cm stick and holding the very top. My seat sits on the rails and keeps everything in place. Can move it out of room easily when needed. I'll replace the dowel with a broken carbon fibre stand up paddle shaft. You can feel very slight but smooth lumps from the motor poles but so far it hasn't affected the precision when heli flying. I barely noticed it when flying the spitfire. There doesn't seem to be any heat generated by anything, even running for a couple of hours at 25% power, though I was switching back and forth between the chopper and spitfire The centre of where I grip the stick is about 53cm from the gimbal pivot point. The VKB grip will attach at about 44cm, so I'm very happy with that. edit - worked out to about $520 aud by the time a broke a couple of drill bits, wore out flap disks, flux core wire and primer3 points

Heatblur Simulations: Tomcat Update! In some ways; 2025 is a year of checking off some long standing features. Together with the A-6E AI and Draken AI units nearing completion; we're also working on finishing up the "Early A" F-14. The Early A will come with the much more basic and old-school ALR-45 RWR, and we will also be adding some new visual options to the F-14, such as the bullet fairing and extremely early, non-TCS chin pod. The front panel of the aircraft in both cockpits changes markedly; as the ALR-67 display is deleted; as well as changes to the right hand RIO panels. Together with a few other changes; you will be able to fly a Tomcat more authentic to the earlier part of its service life. We're also adding more visual features, such as inert AIM-7s, ALQ-167 visual models, the expanded chaff adapter (ECA) and more. More visual upgrades such as new effects and other fun Tomcat announcements to come throughout 2025 for DCS World; as we port some of our Phantom features and prepare for the next leg in our Tomcat journey!3 points

Dlsstweaks sets the registry key. I used Dlsstweaks and checked the key was indeed there and set with regedit. Simply knowing that it works for others helps me understand that there must be something in my setup that prevents it from kicking in. I will pick my battles. In the mean time I was able to use dlsstweaks log file (that is created when you copy the dll and ini in the bin directory) to confirm that the different presets I was asking for were kicking in. So no hud but still a confirmation of what I needed. All good. Thanks.2 points

I've just found a way to reproduce this issue on purpose: when closing the Chat window using the "Chat show/hide" while the Chat window is open and active (a message can be typed in), the Escape key cannot be called anymore. The user must then show the Chat window again so the Escape key works again. I'll report this.2 points

I've been using the Vizio MQX 50" tv. It's 4K, 16:9, with a 2.1 hdmi, 120hz, though I've seen some complain it isn't. Shows up on win as 120, and nvidia control as 120. Costco had it for just over $400. I use this when not using VR. Ran it for awhile with a 3080ti with everything turned to max in dcs. Got just under 120 fps up high, down low it would vary around 80-90 fps. Ran smooth and looked very good. I've been happy with it. Everythings a lot bigger in scale making it easier to read, especially the instruments plus the lettering was pretty sharp. Definitely worth it I would say. Phone cameras not the best. You'll just have to believe me the screen is sharp in details.2 points

I've released v1.1.4. This contains a notable change - clan/unit tags within callsigns are now ignored. For example, "[ISAF] Mobius 1" was previously parsed as "ISAF Mobius 1", and is now parsed as "Mobius 1". Other changes: - DECLARE responses now include fill-ins. Most notable, FURBALL responses will now include the number of friendlies and hostiles in the furball. - Reduced how often the warning message is logged about SkyEye's IGRF model (magnetic declination correction) in missions set in 2024 and later. (This isn't a problem at this time because DCS World only uses data through 2022, but could be a problem if ED ever ships new data.) - Minor improvements to parser.2 points

Symlinks are definitely a solution. Another is to upgrade your dedicated drive. 2TB will serve you well unless you're trying to run multiple installs, 4TB should set you up for the foreseeable future. My install is still under 1TB, though I don't have all the maps. When I do bust the 1TB barrier, I'll probably start looking into an upgrade.2 points

That exceeds the operating limitations of the real aircraft, from its manual: "9. Rated landing weight for using concrete, unpaved or snow-covered runway, is 6800 kg, with BLC system being used by all means, This landing weight is obtained when aircraft: (a) has no external loads, fuel remainder not exceeding 700 L; (b) carries two missiles, or two YB-16-57 pods, or two FAB-100 bombs, or carries no combat stores but has empty drop tanks attached, fuel remainder being 500 L,"2 points

I really like this mod! Great work & thanks for this. I started to put my hands on the textures. Is there a chance, that the mod will be updated? There are some small things I have noticed. - The slimers (formation lights) are not really correct in scale & position - Slimers on wings not implemented to light - Some of the antennas are not right placed - Position of the centerline drop tank is a little bit too forward. And one general question, is there a way to have 2 different pilot skins?2 points
