  8. Вы правы эта проблема и заставила меня сосредоточиться на этой карте Афганистана. Перебрав множество компаний и миссий для этой карты, ничего приличного я не нашол — и захотелось сделать что-то действительно серьезное. 9. "Lazy work?" Dude, you've got to be kidding me...there's about 12 months of full time work in it, not counting the endless hours of keeping it up to date for every patch. Many would argue it's a steal for 12 bucks. You can disagree, of course. The campaign was released 3-4 years before we got the WW2 Marianas map, and I can not and will not "move" it to another one. Why? - A mission cannot be "moved" from one map to another, it's a rebuild from scratch. taking months to set up and test - Nearly none of the important places/ buildings that play a key role in the campaign are present on the WW2 version of the map, take Andersen AFB for example. - Consequently, I'd have to come up with new mission ideas that suit the places present on the WW2 map - Because of this I'd need to re-record thousands of voice overs, redo briefings, kneeboard maps, nearly all visuals - On the plus side I could use the skins, yay. But nothing else. So the effort would be equivalent to making a new campaign from scratch, and if I'd want to do that, I'd just make a new campaign from scratch, rather than calling it a "free update" to an existing product. Also, what's your problem with Humvees? We don't have Vietnam era vehicles in DCS, I can't work with what we don't have. I could use the WW2 jeep, but then it would introduce another payware requirement which would be very unfair to do retroactively. If you want to fly around the WW2 Marianas map, you're more than welcome to play around in the mission editor. I'd definitely purchase a Huey campaign made for that map.

  10. Hi, This is a followup to another thread but specifically about the wishlist parts: the current TACAN database in the Hornet only includes beacons from Caucasus and Nevada. With some help and a bit of investigation we noticed that the current implementation comes from (DCS)\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\Computers\MC_No1.lua and has some issues and missing parts: it relies on get_terrain_related_data("name") which doesn't work with maps other than Caucasus or Nevada apparently. I'm not sure if it's an issue in the internal function or something which should be provided by the terrains themselves. Apparently that function is used by a lot of modules and mods so maybe it should be fixed (one way or another), but a workaround is to use get_terrain_related_data("id") (and use the self_ID from entry.lua in the various terrains) it only selects specific entries for Caucasus and Nevada. I understand it requires a coordination between ED and the terrain maker but it would be nice to select and add beacons for all the available maps. I think it's especially useful for maps used in cold war scenarios where GPS might not be available, and Cold War Germany is a prime example here. There are examples on the linked thread but obviously ED (and Ugra Media) might have way better idea than us. I have the feeling this could be rather fixed by implementing it in the DTC but I understand it's a work in progress and I'm not sure when the beacons part is supposed to be implemented. Any implementation would be ok for me (although currently it's a bit difficult to work with DTC for a lack of real "default" DTC).

  12. As a DCS/MP/community pilot after approx. 2 weeks of trying out DCS/SP, I would agree with Mistermann that SP simply cannot keep up. For me, it started as a midlife crisis occupation and was never meant to last long. I never had a deep dive into the MP/public domain as the behavior of most players was not to my liking. But the companionship I found within that group (which at that time was simply choosen by size, activity and most certainly that friendly FNG approach of "lets do some flying together") now lasts for 5 years and still doesnt cease to amaze. It drove me to invest a lot of time into this hobby and it paid off by lots of MP missions just flying parade with friends into the sunset/rise after "surviving" two hours of intense action. I started mission design and struggled with the ME, I looked into RL air force procedures and thought about how to adapt them for DCS by normal / non-military guys (like me), I started writing MOODLE tutorials for CAS and RESCORT and even developed an aerobatics course for the warthog as a sideproject just for the fun of it. At the top of it, last year I enrolled in a local glider club to go for the real thing. All that came back with interest, as they say. So yeah, as in any normal social group of comparable size, there are guys who dont like each other. There are the service members which feel entitled to throw their RL knowledge around until they experience first hand that this is still a game, we are volunteers and earn our money somewhere else. You have the know-it-all, the socially challenged, the outright assholes (normally not for a long time to be remembered) as in any online group of people who would not recognize each other in RL. Until they do some offline weekends and after that all is well, or at least tolerable. You dont have to like them to fly Wing for them now and then. There are the casual pilots, the milsim types, there are the weekend flyers, the guys specializing in the color of every bolt of their singular beloved module, the Jokers capable of flying everything in their huge virtual hangar (and getting worried about their keybindings and HOTAS everytime they have to switch modules). The sleepy types surprising you with skills you hadn'nt seen before, the military veterans sharing stories about their employments and so on. It takes all kinds. If you cant stand company, that experience may be difficult to achieve. But being an introverted character myself, I found out a lot about myself during the last 5 years I would miss otherwise.

  13. I knew it was there somewhere. That’s what I meant about the roundels, cheers Megalax. Plotted some Lancs on the Channel Map the other day. If ‘starting from ramp’ I could only get them planted at Manston. I’ve seen our Lanc take off and land from Biggin a few times and didn’t think it would be a bother. I could ‘take off from ground’ and had them taking off and landing ok from there. Wish ED could make things easier for you tinkerers. Sorting the AI would be a bonus, forming up on anything especially in the turn gets a bit lively. Still chuffed to be able to mess about with it. Well done team

  14. Hi, quick report from the current development of Vietnam War Vessels: We're busy rigging the CH-46D model from Odyseus. So far good progress has been made, and there's more work to pour into the project. With some outside help we got the new rotor blur more or less working; the suspension is animated; the sling loading works, albeit we don't have a cargo hook yet; the CH-46D comes in two versions currently, one with the chaff/flare dispenser and one without; some navigation lights are available; the flight model is still under development but starts and landing work now. Overall it looks quite promising! We would love to make the Phrog more heavy in flight operations and reduce it's agility. Also we want to customize the pilot figures a bit. And then it needs lots of testing We might have a surprise addition in Vietnam War Vessels 2.2.0 as well. Another plane, the military version of an iconic civilian aircraft, has been donated to the mod. Cheers, TeTeT

  15. UNBELIEVABLE! THIS 'IMMERSIVE' HUEY CAMPAIGN IS A JOKE! I PAID FOR VIETNAM, NOT A RETIREMENT VILLAGE! I HAVE JUST COMPLETED THE FIRST THREE MISSIONS OF THE NEW UH-1H CAMPAIGN, AND I AM ABSOLUTELY APPALLED AT THE LEVEL OF GROSS NEGLIGENCE DISPLAYED BY THE CAMPAIGN DESIGNER. I DIDN'T BUY A $10 CAMPAIGN AND SPEND HOURS DOWNLOADING AND SETTING UP MY COLLECTIVE FOR THIS KIND OF AMATEUR-HOUR PERFORMANCE. WHEN I FLY THE HUEY, I AM CHASING THE IMMERSION—THE GRIT, THE DANGER, THE HISTORICAL FIDELITY! I AM LOOKING FOR THE ATMOSPHERE OF A DESPERATE, JUNGLE-CHOKED CONFLICT! AND WHAT AM I GETTING? I AM GETTING A TOURIST TRAP! THE GOLF COURSE INCIDENT DURING MY LOW-LEVEL INSERTION INTO WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOSTILE LZ (LANDING ZONE), I WAS FORCED TO MOMENTARILY SKIM A CLEAR-CUT AREA. AND WHAT DID MY EYES BEHOLD? A PERFECTLY MANICURED, PRISTINE, 18-HOLE GOLF COURSE. IN 1968?! IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONFLICT ZONE?! NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! A GOLF COURSE IS THE VISUAL EQUIVALENT OF A LOUD, JARRING COMMERCIAL INTERRUPTING A SERIOUS FILM. IT COMPLETELY SHATTERED THE FRAGILE HISTORICAL CONTEXT THAT MY MIND WAS FIGHTING TO MAINTAIN. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOCUSED ON ENEMY ACTIVITY, BUT INSTEAD, I WAS MENTALLY CALCULATING THE HANDICAP OF THE PIXELATED NPCS WHO WOULD PLAY THAT COURSE. IT INSTANTLY CHEAPENED THE ENTIRE OPERATION. MY CREW CHIEF EVEN JOKED ABOUT LANDING FOR A QUICK NINE HOLES. MY IMMERSION WAS VAPORIZED! THE UNFORGIVABLE SUV BLIGHT BUT THE MOST GRIEVOUS, HISTORICALLY INACCURATE, AND UTTERLY INSULTING PIECE OF DIGITAL GARBAGE IS THE VEHICLE TRAFFIC! FLYING LOW OVER THE FEW PAVED ROADS—WHICH, BY THE WAY, ARE FAR TOO PERFECT AND NEED SOME SERIOUS SHELL-HOLE DISTRESSING—I SAW SEVERAL MODERN, BLOATED, FOUR-DOOR SUVS DRIVING AROUND! HMMVS! IN A HUEY CAMPAIGN SET DECADES BEFORE THESE ROLLING LAND YACHTS EVEN EXISTED! THIS ISN'T JUST A MINOR OVERSIGHT; IT'S AN ACT OF HISTORICAL VANDALISM! IT PULLED ME OUT OF THE COCKPIT SO VIOLENTLY I NEARLY DUMPED THE COLLECTIVE! MY ENTIRE FLIGHT PROFILE WAS RUINED TRYING TO UN-SEE A GREEN HUMMER PUTTERING ALONG A ROAD THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CRATERED AND PACKED WITH ANCIENT MILITARY TRUCKS! THE TRUE DISGRACE: LACK OF ATMOSPHERE I PAID FOR BLOOD, SWEAT, AND ROTOR WASH. I PAID FOR THE PALPABLE SENSE OF DANGER AND ISOLATION. WHAT I GOT WAS AN ENVIRONMENT THAT LOOKS LIKE A CHEAP SET FOR A B-GRADE 90S ACTION MOVIE. THE DEVELOPERS NEED TO IMPLEMENT AN IMMEDIATE HOTFIX THAT: REPLACES ALL GOLF COURSES WITH HISTORICALLY ACCURATE, OVERGROWN RICE PADDIES OR HEAVILY MINED SCRUBLAND. SCRUB THE ENTIRE ASSET LIBRARY OF ANY VEHICLE MANUFACTURED PAST 1975. IF IT ISN'T A BEAT-UP JEEP, AN M-35, OR A BIKE, IT DOESN'T BELONG! DULL THE COLORS. EVERYTHING IS TOO VIBRANT. THE JUNGLE NEEDS MORE SHADOWS. THE ROADS NEED MORE MUD. THE COLOR OF THE ENTIRE MAP IS TOO CHEERFUL. I NEED OPPRESSION! MY DEDICATION TO REALISM IS ABSOLUTE, AND I EXPECT THE SAME FROM THE DEVELOPERS. I’M CANCELING ALL MY PRE-ORDERS UNTIL THIS IS FIXED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! SIGNED, Karen Karensdottir

  16. We need ED to work on the back end cloud rendering system to get cloud shapes like that. I've already pushed the current engine to its limits in terms of what's possible. That being said, I have made some improvements to thunderstorms and lightning for the next update.

  17. The Trigger Action "Unit Radar On/Off" does not currently apply to naval ships (inexplicably, it also doesn't work for land-based EWR sites). This means that warships are always detectable via RWR, and thus super easy to find the general location of a ship. If we can get this trigger action applied to the ship radars, then we can have ships simulate EMCON.

  18. Yes that is what should happen but it does not ! Just a few words from the Moderators would have been nice for the Lancaster Team. But its just the same old Stone Cold Silence from Moderators for any user made New Mods. Very bad form to just turn your backs and put your fingers in your ears . " Wake up and smell the roses guys " this is an exceptional effort and great for the future of WW2 and DCS !

  19. MaxSenna & Archangel 44 are both on the right track. I reset the pedals to Slider, but no change, but then noticed that one axis seemed to 'Stick' . So changed pedals to Right side only for both brakes, and away she went, doubled the speed after initial inertia and leapt into the air. So thank you to both of you, and Rudel who was good enough offer to take a look at my .trk file. All working......until something else crops up, LOL THANK YOU GENTLEMEN

  25. I wouldn't sign that. I am 55 and used to play online a lot in the 90s and early 2000s. But those were mostly shooters, where one could dial in any time of day. I then moved to SIM racing and joined an awesome community. But that was far more complicated, as there were fixed times. The majority were British, so the times were naturally chosen to match their schedules. As I start work early, those times were simply too late for me. Same would apply for a DCS group. Added to that my initial statement, that I do not want waste my sparse free time, on bourse of cold starting my jet, because I was rammed while taxiing, shot down while taking off etc. Just not my definition of fun. And yes I admit, my old brain is too slow to fight teens and twens who do nothing else than flying all day long. Therefore I stuck to my SP, where I can fly whenever I want, whichever aircraft I want and any kind of mission I want.

  26. Yesterday I finally graduated as a TOPGUN F-4E pilot — and I couldn’t be happier! This was actually the first campaign I’ve ever completed in DCS from start to finish, and what an incredible experience it was. There have already been many great comments about Reflected’s MiG Killers campaign, so I won’t repeat them all. What I do want to add, though, is that this campaign is surprisingly beginner-friendly. Of course, you need to have the basic handling of the F-4E under control — but if you want to learn air-to-air combat in the Phantom, this is the campaign to do it with. Big thanks to Reflected for another masterpiece. Flying through this campaign felt like stepping straight into a 1970s training film — immersive, challenging, and incredibly rewarding.

  27. In the next DCS update, George AI Pilot will be receiving some improvements to his existing logic and behavior in an effort to make him more realistic along with several new features to make him more capable. The most noticeable change is the addition of an AI Helper Interface wheel that functions in a similar manner as what is seen when controlling the AI CPG, which will help players understand which commands are available at any given time. The second change is the addition of a new command to the AH-64D CPG controls called "Multifunctional Input (Center)", which functions similarly to the Consent To Fire command for the AI CPG in that it corresponds with the actions displayed within the center of the AI Helper Interface wheel. Accordingly, the Consent To Fire command in the AH-64D Pilot controls has been renamed to "Multifunctional Input (Center)" to more accurately represent the evolution of this command following the changes to George AI CPG in the July 23rd update to DCS. In the graphic below, the new AI Helper Interface is shown for when the player is in the CPG seat, with some new commands identified when the interface is in Flight (FLT) mode. The player can now toggle the AI Pilot's speed reference between ground speed (GS) and true airspeed (TAS) with a short press (<0.5 seconds) of the Multifunctional Input command; or toggle the AI Pilot's altitude reference between radar altitude (R) and barometric altitude (B) with a long press (>0.5 seconds) of the Multifunctional Input command. One additional change that is worth noting is that the Right-Short commands have been swapped between Combat (CMBT) and Flight (FLT) modes to improve the workflow when using the AI. Now, when the AI Interface is set to FLT mode, Right-Short will command George to navigate the current route; and when the AI Interface is set to CMBT mode, Right-Short will command George to turn to where the player is looking. New Speed Settings & Altitude Conversions When set to FLT mode, the player will have additional speed options, which can be particularly useful when trying to creep along the terrain at NOE altitudes or when trying to synchronize a planned time-on-target. These speed options will now include 20, 40, 60, 75, 90, 100, 110, 120, and MAX, with the new speed options underlined. When toggling the altitude reference between radar and barometric, George will now perform a correct conversion between the AGL and MSL equivalent altitudes based on the elevation of the terrain below the helicopter. This will aid in a more natural switch between altitude references. Ground Operations George can now be commanded to perform start-up and shutdown procedures by accessing the new Ground (GND) mode of the AI Interface any time the helicopter is landed. FULL START - George will perform a full start-up procedure from turning on the battery to preparing the helicopter for takeoff. ENG FLY - George will initialize all systems, start the engines, and bring the Power levers to FLY, but will leave the APU on and wheel brakes applied until the player commands him to turn off the APU and release the brakes. Alternatively, this may also be used to command him to start the APU and apply the wheel brakes after landing. ENG IDLE - George will initialize all systems and start the engines, but will leave the Power levers at IDLE until the player commands him to bring the Power levers to FLY and/or prepare the helicopter for takeoff. Alternatively, this may also be used to command him to start the APU, apply the wheel brakes, and bring Power levers to IDLE after landing. APU ONLY - George will start the APU and initialize all systems and announce when he is ready to start engines. Alternatively, this may be used to command him to start the APU, apply the wheel brakes, and shut down the engines after landing but keep all systems initialized with the APU on. SHUTDOWN - George will perform a full shutdown procedure, to include shutting down the engines, powering down systems, turning off exterior lighting and the APU, and switching off the battery. CMWS ON/OFF - George will toggle the CMWS power on/off. When CMWS is on, he'll set the CMWS/NAV switch to CMWS for combat operations. When CMWS is off, he'll set the CMWS/NAV switch to NAV for non-tactical flights. Defense Settings In order to provide a more efficient workflow during missions, the CMWS mode has been removed from the typical AI Interface flow of FLT -> H-B -> CMBT and can only be accessed using a long press (>0.5 seconds) of the George AI - Show/Hide command. In addition, a new command for commanding George to configure the exterior lighting has been added, and the mode itself has been renamed to Defense (DEFN). The following exterior lighting configurations can be selected using the Right-Short AI Helper command. DAY - Day, non-combat operations. Anti-collision lights set to WHT. NT BRT - Night, non-combat operations. Anti-collision lights set to RED and navigation lights set to BRT. NT DIM - Night training missions. Anti-collision lights set to OFF, navigation lights set to DIM, and formation lights set to BRT. NT FORM - Night training/combat missions. All lights off except for formation lights. LTS OFF - Night training/combat missions. All lights off. Improved Flight Logic George's overall flight logic has been improved, most notably to avoid exceeding the engine or drive train limitations or ensuring the helicopter has sufficient power for what the player is asking George to do. George will use the PERF page calculations to properly assess the power margins and will now provide verbal feedback to the player if he is asked to adhere to airspeed or altitude parameters that exceed the acceptable power margins for the current gross weight, altitude, and temperature. In addition, he will automatically switch between "nose-to-tail trim" at low speeds and "aerodynamic trim" at high speeds. NOTE: Although George's flight logic has been improved, it is still possible to force him into a situation in which he may collide with terrain or obstacles, particularly when he is being ordered to adhere to extremely low altitudes, operate with a high gross weight and narrow power margins, or fly at MAX speed (or a combination of these factors), the player should use prudence when selecting the airspeed and altitude combinations, and occasionally cross-check his flight path just as a real crewmember will typically do. As an example, if the helicopter does not have sufficient power margin to clear a ridgeline, the player can order George to slow to 75 or 60 knots TAS to improve his climb rate or climb angle. But if that is not sufficient, the player should order George to alter heading to avoid the rising terrain. When the AI Interface is set to Combat (CMBT) mode and the player presses the Up-Short command, George will perform the following contextual behavior. ALIGN TO TADS - George will align the nose towards the azimuth of the TADS sensor. ALIGN TO NTS - George will align the nose towards the FCR Next-To-Shoot (NTS) target. However, if the player's selected sight in the CPG seat is set to TADS or FCR and has actioned rockets, George will turn towards and actively maintain horizontal alignment with the Rocket Steering Cursor for 30 seconds, permitting the player to engage moving targets with rockets or make subsequent aiming adjustments. An updated George AI chapter describing the improvements to George AI Pilot will be included in a future edition of the DCS AH-64D Early Access Guide, but will not be finished in time for the upcoming update. We hope that these new features to George AI Pilot will allow players to utilize the front gunner seat more effectively across more phases of each mission while improving the player's reliance on George's piloting abilities.

  29. Might be worth checking this out as an extensive checklist. While it was primarily for VR - the solutions in there such as disabling CPU Parking, mouse polling rates, etc may be just as applicable to 2D as well. As for whether you made a mistake - I think that would be very objectional depending on people's bias. For instance personally- I loathe Win11, primarily because of the forceful nature Microsoft is taking, and I live by a motto with tech now that if it ain't broke - don't fix it. I came through the era where updates added more benefits than previous. I'm now seeing a decline that future updates are less about the customers experience, and more about how it benefits the manufacturer or other 3rd parties, so I've become quite sinical. That - plus too many decades of experience of countless hours/days fixing things after updating that weren't broken prior has made me an old man with less patience than before. Now I need to go tell some kids to get off my lawn.

  30. Hello friends, Despite the fact that we have many terrains now (which is good) I still love the cauacasus map. And I have to say that ED has everything what it need to look awesome. Except good ground textures, tree textures and filters. So I tried by my own - I created some new winter trees without leaves and used one of the LUT filters to adjust the colors in game: less color, and a bit of more of contrast: So after that, I took screenshots from every building area, looked for hours for matching satellite pictures and created some ground textures- highly inspired by Mustangs and Bartheks terrain mods. After tons of red bulls, gin tonics and music I got something like that: For luck the ED team created such a good engine , tools and is still pretty mod-friendly so that guys like me can have fun with textures and other stuff. I the very past days some friends of my made allways jokes about me like: " why you love DCS so much? It´s just a screenhot sim ..." Well ...first: I can fly my all time greatest love ever, my Tomcat. Second : Now I can fly my MiG-29 what I did in good old Flanker days back in 1999. I can do it in VR, fully clickable and with very good flight models. And finally: If it is a screenshot sim, lets do it right: Thanks to ED for so many good memories. Thankfuly and respectfuly yours, ... and cheers, TOM (Screenshots direct out of the game - not edited or polished)

  35. In the US at least, it's actually more of a matter of how the promotion system works for officers. Promotions come after serving for a specified amount of time, and being passed over at any point is a career killer, particularly past captain, where the number of officers is fixed. So in practice, you either get promoted, or you retire to make room for someone who does rate a promotion. The end result is, you get your skill and experience, and then you get promoted out of the cockpit. Test pilots can be much older because they're not constrained by this. Endurance and health vary highly with age, some people can hold their own well past retirement. Bill Anders was 90 when he crashed in his T-34 a year ago. Something tells me that if you put him in a Voodoo at that age, he'd more than hold his own.

  36. Thanks for stopping by and congratulations! Most of my campaigns are beginner friendly actually, it's not the lack of knowledge that will break the missions, but the lack of attention to all the helper messages and other guides You may want to follow it up with Red Flag 81-2 - mainly Air to Ground, you get to fly missions in their entirety, nobody tells you what to do and how, but after shutting down the engine your performance is evaluated in the custom debrief.

  37. Доброе утро всем и с началом новой трудовой недели! Надеюсь, что для EG выходные также подошли к концу, и мы уже сегодня сможем увидеть запуск нашей долгожданной миссии.

  38. The Scripts folder (if that's what you mean) doesn't go under the Mods folder. The bhHook.lua file under those folders goes into the Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Hooks folder (same structure as in the zip file). This is so that when DCS exports stuff like the enemy units the hook is used by the mod for the gunners to know where they are.

  39. In the 2000s the Su-33 got something similar to the angle rate bomb sight that allowed them to do really accurate daytime dumb bombing. Also the Pastel RWR.

  40. Eine grössere SSD könnte noch was bringen, falls man sie günstig bekommt und sie sich ohne grössere Klimmzüge einbauen kann. Ansonsten müsste man komplett, CPU, GPU, Board, RAM etc updaten, was kaum Sinn macht. Dann besser ein neues System und den PC als Backup nutzen oder für einen guten Zweck stiften.

  42. In the next DCS update, the F-16 will be getting a new DTC feature: RWR Reprogramming. The F-16's ALR-56 radar warning receiver (RWR) can only display 16 radar symbols in OPEN mode or 5 radar symbols in PRIORITY mode. With these display limitations, the RWR automatically prioritizes these threats to ensure the most relevant radar threats are presented to the pilot. Up until this point, the F-16 RWR prioritized threats based on three tiers, with each subsequent tier out-weighed by the tier listed above it: Threat Lethality - All radars that are detected to be in a "Launch" mode in which the radar is likely guiding a missile are of a higher priority for display than those radars that are only in "Tracking" or "Search" modes; and all radars that are in a "Tracking" mode are of a high priority for display than those radars that are only in "Search" mode. Threat Type - The type of radar is prioritized according to the threat table uploaded to the RWR software. Those that are higher in the table are prioritized for display over those below it. Signal Strength - The strength of a radar's signal is weighted against others of the same radar type. If two radars of the same type are detected, the stronger signal will be prioritized for display over the weaker signal. These tiers of prioritization remain un-changed with this new DTC feature, but now players and mission makers have direct control over tier 2 and can reprogram the threat table to suit the mission or their individual preferences. The F-16 RWR is reprogrammed by accessing the Threat Tables (ELINT) partition of the DTC and selecting the RWR tab. Two independent threat tables may be uploaded simultaneously, HIGH and LOW, which can be toggled from within the cockpit at any time using the ALT button on the Threat Warning Auxiliary control panel. Each individual radar type can be moved up or down in the displayed table using the arrow buttons along the right side of the table itself. The Display checkbox determines which threats are actually programmed into the RWR database. If any of these boxes are un-checked, the RWR will not be programmed to recognize these radar signals. In this example, only the friendly coalition is equipped with Patriot SAM batteries, so that radar can be un-checked to declutter that friendly radar type from the RWR display. The SEARCH checkbox determines which threats are hidden from the RWR display when the SEARCH button is not enabled on the Threat Warning Auxiliary control panel. These radar threats will still be recognized by the RWR, but will only be displayed and inserted into the priority ranking when the pilot enables SEARCH. This can be useful to hide any radars that cannot perform tracking or missile guidance functions, but can also be used to selectively hide any friendly radars while retaining those types within the programmed RWR database. The UNKNOWN checkbox functions identically to the SEARCH checkbox, but corresponds to the UNKNOWN button on the Threat Warning Prime control panel adjacent to the RWR Azimuth Indicator itself. This can be useful to hide any radars that the player wishes to selectively declutter from the display, such as friendly radars, naval radars, etc. These threat tables are uploaded by pressing the ELINT OSB on the DTE MFD format.

  43. Likely the first two would be closest… however, the reality is i have a life and a family, even though I’m retired and I play most days, turning up at a regular time just doesn’t work for me… which it does for most other people… I have little or no interest in PvP in any computer game. I’m introverted by nature and whilst I have friends and enjoy their company, but, I grew up gaming solo, and honestly have very little interest in gaming with others.
