Hello all, I'm editing a Viggen mission where I would like to be able to detect if the FR.22 radio is tuned to a specific preset: } On the clickabledata.lua the following lines refer to this cockpit element: I have tried to use the trigger condition X:COCKPIT ARGUMENT IN RANGE, using argument 361 and 3230, and neither seem to work Does anyone know how to properly read this preset number? Does anyone know what means the -666 argument? Thanks a lot for any help with this, and best regards. Eduardo

Hello Viggen fans, In anticipation of the Kola Map release, I'm re-learning the Viggen, after many years of having it on the hangar ... not because of any problems with it, but because so many other interesting aircrafts have appeared for DCS, which I wanted to learn As part of this re-learning process, I edited a few training missions for this aircraft, as this forces me to learn the aircraft in more detail than just flying on it, and I want to share them here. As soon as Kola arrives, I will edit a 2nd version of each, to be flown on the new map, in the meantime they are set at Nevada because I'm truly tired of Caucasus and Marianas is a bit too small, and also because I really like Nevada I have already finished a small set of these missions, and want to share them here and add more as I go on finishing them. The missions are available from ED's User Files, this is the link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3334422/ Editing and debugging one of these missions takes about 10 days each, I'd rather not wait until every mission that I want to edit is ready, so here they are: M01 - Abreviated Cold Start My original idea, was to have a Cold Start with two client slots: one for an abreviated procedure using battery power, and another slot for starting with a full procedure and using Ground Power. In the end I couldn't make it work because the battery start has a very limited endurance, that didnt give me the time for detailed explanations that could be shared between both clients, so I ended up splitting the mission in two: One for battery start (this one), and another mission for a detailed cold start. M02 - Detailed Cold Start I know, I know ... almost one hour for a Cold Start mission? ... the truth is that I love how a Cold Start touches up on almost every System that an aircraft has: Electrics, Fuel, Hydraulics, Flight Control, Ignition, Engine, Radios, Avionics, etc. Its undoubtedly the single mission where one can truly view the complexities of a modern aircraft. Bear with me: M03 - Taxi & Take-off from an Airbase I was in the middle of editing this mission, when the last DCS update striked ... bugging the ATC. Plase ignore the glitch when asking ATC for permission to taxi M04 - Take-off from a Roadbase This is similar to M03, but starting from a Road Base near Creech. M05 - Autopilot use (added on 26/Nov/23) As a prior step to learning the Viggen navigation, I tought it would be useful to have a brief mission on the employment of the Autopilot system. M06 - Pre-planned Navigation (added on 5/Dec/23) This has been the hardest mission to edit, up to now, even with its scope limited to flightplans created on the mission editor, but it is also the most fun to fly: M07 - Visual Landing & Shutdown (added on 25/Dec/23) I promise, this is the last non-combat training mission that I will do for the Viggen on a long while ... but I needed the student pilots to be able to land after a combat training sortie, so I had to edit this mission on Landing first. For this mission, I elected to give the trainee the ability to select the kind of Landing Approach he wants to learn: Direct or Overhead, Normal or Short (short is harder as it leaves less time to align with the runway), and even managed to put the chance to learn the Shutdown procedure as well. To make the mission a bit more fun, I'm using a Script that @toutenglisse created for me, that will produce a report with the landing distance the student pilot occupied ... this is my own record after about two dozen tries made while debugging the mission Other DCS users that helped me to create this mission, are @funkyfranky for his landing diagrams, and @Charly_Owl for the valuable information contained on his Viggen Guide. Here is a walktrough video, of the overhead approach: and here is another with the Shutdown alone: M08 - Radio Employment (added on 23/Mar/24) As the Viggen radios are quite different from those of other DCS aircrafts, I decided to edit this training mission to help new Viggen users to get used to its intrincacies. The video includes a small bug on the section about using the emergency radio, which has been fixed but I didn't had the time to re-record the video. Installation: If you prefer, you can save these missions on the DCS Program folder, that way they would appear alongside the built-in training, like this: However, I know that many users don't like to modify the original game, so on that case you can save them inside a folder at /Saved games/DCS World/Missions/ and within DCS they would show up on Missions -> My Missions, like this: Conclusion: I will keep adding missions to this small pack, until Kola gets released. At that point I will migrate the finished missions to it. If you detect any issue with these missions, please report it on this thread, with as much detail as you can, and I will do my best to fix any bug. Best regards to everyone, and in particular to the user @TOViper as without his update of the Viggen manual, creating these missions wouldn't have been possible. Eduardo

Hello, as there is no Air to Air training Mission for the AJS37 Viggen, I took it upon myself to create one for general use. Attached is the mission file. Again I offer this mission to Heatblur to include with their AJS37 module as part of their training missions. Video of the Mission is at; I contemplated trying to edit the files to include it in the training missions but even if successful every update overwrites the edits and it's best to stay clear of that directory anyway. So for now just open it like any other mission. For bragging rights - I can hit the IL-76 at 6kms with the Rb-05A 12 - AJS37 Air to Air Training.miz

Training Mission 05 AJS37 Training Visual Landing modified
djacd posted a topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Hello, I've modified the Visual landing training mission for anyone who wishes. CHANGES: Added voice over - instead of reading the instructions. (English only) Modified the text instruction slightly for clarity and brevity add a couple of small graphics fixed the error in that you are NOT landing a Kutaisi as stated in the text but Senaki-Kolkhi Minor stuff I know but the speech really helps To install it either load it as a mission or if you have administrator rights, copy it to your eagle dynamics installation folder, c:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\AJS37\Missions\Training\ (or what ever path yours is) If Heatblur wants to add it 'officially' I have zero objections. Enjoy, 05 - AJS37 Training visual landing.miz -
I recall in one of the last changelogs, there was a new paint kit mentioned. I can't find it on the official download-site (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/texture_templates/). Any idea where to download it? Thanks

Reposting in correct sub-forum Subject ^^ Multithread, Reverb G2 and current OB version. Works as intended in non-VR, not MT. Have not tested in non-VR MT.

Hi, I noticed over the course of the last few weeks in several missions the pod would only record red air emitters and completely ignore land based red emitters. So I made a custom mission to test the U22/A ability to record land based red signals. It did not record any even though I’ve been painted several times by SAM systems and one of them fired at my plane. Find attached the info file, trk file, tacview file and miz file. This one didn't make it in time for the update today. However, it will be included in the core sim in the future. Until then, here is a DL Link to "The Show Must Go On" demo livery. Credits to Ben_Der for the art work. I did the Roughmets. Thanks to Cobra and the HB team for the update. They are working very hard behind the scenes and this update brings many quality of life visual improvements with native PBR. Enjoy! This will be a thread with links to each mod I have for Viggen, to hopefully make it easier to find where to download the mods and to find information on what they do. I'll still leave the download links in the threads they already are in, and also post any updates there as well. New Viggen liveries: Liveries that change the splinter camo to a more realistic one. Also added and corrected some of the external details of the aircraft. Passes all IC Cockpit texture mod: This mod is a custom livery and changes the internal cockpit textures with different additions and corrections to them. The result is a cockpit a little closer to what the real deal looks like. Available in a couple versions: Swedish, English. Each have a version that passes script IC, and one that pass both script and texture IC More realistic EP08 This mod changes the appearance of both the HUD and the radar screen to look more like they do in the real aircraft. Changes include color changes and the size and placement of a few symbols This mod does NOT pass texture and script IC More realistic HUD Adds some more realistic limitations of the HUD where you see a more limited area of the HUD. What it does is it simulates the pilot actually having two eyes and giving the FOV each eye would have. Available in both a 2D version for use on a monitor, and a VR version for VR use. Two versions are available one that passes script IC and one that pass both texture and script IC. More accurate Apparat 27 This mod adds and changes RWR sounds to all units with a radar in DCS. The result is a much more dynamic and alive sound. It also corrects the sensor FOV so you get warnings you should be getting This mod is already partially incorporated into the base module, so it no longer has as much of a drastic change as it once did, still recommended though. TLDR: Adds more blips and bloops... This mod does NOT pass script IC EP13 scan line Removes the scan lines on the EP13 screen, and chromatic aberration if wanted. This mod does NOT pass script IC Coming soon™ This mod changes all... This mod does NOT pass script IC I think that's all of them for the moment

Hello dear community. I really want to enjoy the Viggen but it´s the only aircraft that crashes DCS after 15-20 minutes of flying. Can someone help me with this issue? dcs.log-20220718-141805.zip

So me and 5 others flew an Elint flight but we didn't pick up the ELINT data even if we flew over the radars at 4000-6000m and they pinged us with search and tracking radars. Is the elint in the Viggen outdated? or what is up with it?

In the (beloved) Smoerebröd-UFO the HUD-Glass can be raised via a lever. This is both possible via cockpit-interaction or keybind. As for the cockpit-interaction (ingame, in-cockpit) of the module, the mousemap for the cursor seems to be placed wrongly. Instead of being placed at/on/over the LEVER, the mousemap is situated at/on/over the HINGE. This results in a rather finnicky mousemapping interaction from the standard cam-position and/or creates the necessity to lean sideways to be able to raise the HUD-glass. While easily manageable with a mouse this can be extra tricky if fe a mouse-thumbstick on a HOTAS is used. The green marker shows the current mousmap area (oversized) while the red marker shows the actual LEVER where the mousemap should be placed. No trackfile needed, reproduction possible 100% in all instances and situational combinations.

Whaaaats up everyone I’m writing this post mostly because my dcs squadron of 250 member are looking really bad for this rare thing called viggen pilots :). We are mostly a US based squadron but have members all over the world. You must be able to speak English, be 18+ and just a nice individual. We organized events multiple times each week on our own servers that are open 24/7 and with prebuilt huge dynamic scenarios. On top of that do we also have campaigns wher we can have up to 40 people flying at ones. If you are experienced in the viggen that’s great but I’m willing to teach you the viggen inside and out if you so want to. So are you the one that likes to fly low and stupidly fast above the tree tops, strike targets that are deep in to enemy territory or just do send RB-15s at a poor carrier group. What are you waiting for just click on the link down below because I would love to have you as my wing man and teach you everything I know about the viggen! Discord link // [HVY] Artic fox

Hei, I was playing with mission editor and Viggen. Then came an idea, since the radar can be used for ground avoidance, how can I make a mission, where the player could not use his/her night vision goggles? Cheers

Enigma's Dynamic Cold War Campaign PVP/PVE Server The purpose of this server is to provide a dynamic campaign server that is set in the cold war that is accessible and avoids frustrating mechanics. The focus is air to air and air to ground activities. Some highlights: -PVP/PVE with a dynamic frontline that moves in real time and does not require a server reset for it to move. -Overlord GCI Bot -Curated Equipment set in Early-to-Mid Cold War -All WVR Fighting no FOX-3 missiles and a focus on iron bombs and unguided rockets with some air-to-surface missiles. -There will be an abundant of helicopter missions that do not focus around slinging but are more about having an impact on the frontline. -There will be strategic targets that impact the frontline movement. There are AI bomber flights too. Map Area: null null Trailer Guide Explaining how to Play How to Use Overlord This server community is mostly Discord based. During a constant g load when passing the vertical the g meter will either add or subtract one g. This is incorrect because the vector addition of g from earth's gravitational field should follow the sin of the pitch angle not add or subtract g depending on passing the vertical. The vector of g is [sin pitch, cos pitch]. Just to be clear I am not referring to the induced g load on aircraft which is of course contingent on the radius of the turn and the velocity of the aircraft, but specifically the gauge should not instantly drop 1g upon passing the vertical effect of the gravitational field on the g meter

I thought I would "cross post" my Viggen mod here. What it does is adding more realistic RWR signals to our favourite aircraft. From 12 individually modeled radars, to 88 with the mod.

Ever wanted more (accurate) blips and bloops in your favourite aircraft? We'll you're in luck my friend. I present my "More accurate Apparat 27" ("MA-APP27" for short) mod. This is my attempt to get more accurate RWR sounds in the Viggen. My goal with this was to get more, and more accurate sounds and sound durations based on each radars actual scan speed and PRF. Each radar I've added/ changed has been researched, unfortunately a lot of them are still classified or just impossible to find the needed data on. In cases where I could not find any data I copied data from a similar radar and and changed it slightly. Sometimes I just did something that felt "right", but tried to stay as close to reality as possible with my very limited radar knowledge. The mod currently have: 8 EWR 29 SAM's 19 ships 34 aircraft 4 AWACS 8 active A-A missiles It also corrects the RWR antenna FOV to be 60deg. The mod does pass IC. DOWNLOAD HERE - v4.9 CombatFlite ELINT library Audio library A "short" video I put together for you to get a sense of the mod. Change log: V4.9: Added new SA10 units (Flap Lid and Tin Shield), and also C-RAM V4.8: Added F-15E. Changed a bunch of signals for units for better accuracy. Added high-pass filter for PRF. V4.7: Fix for SA-10 radar giving constant CW warning, a bunch of other changes (already added to base module) V4.6: Added two new "ambulance" tones - CW and high PRF warning V4.5: Added SON-9 and Mirage F1 V4.4: Added ships the SA asset pack V4.3: Corrected RWR antenna FOV V4.2: Added AN/FPS-117 V4.1: Signal changes to some aircraft and SAMs. CW signal on most SAMs and aircraft for lock V4.0: Added SA-5 TR "Square Pair" V3.2: 11 radar sounds changed, 4 silenced V3.1: Added AIM-54, fixed 19J6, added NASAMS V3: 30 new radars modelled. Read post below for details V2.1: Small fix to the Flanker and Fulcrum V2: New "ambulance tone" V1: Release
