EUROPEAN BASED - CJTF-13 - JOINT TASK FORCE (Fighter jets , Helicopters & Air Traffic Control) The CJTF-13 Battalion is aiming for the most realistic and immersive virtual experience in TAW DCS. We follow real life procedures as closely as possible, we use strict radio communications and train HARD to get to this high level of virtual flying! This type of flight simming is not for everyone, because it requires a certain type of mindset, fierce dedication and motivation to do it right. If you are looking for relatively short, action packed missions which can be played without much in-depth planning and preparation, then the CJTF-13 is NOT the right place for you. If you are looking for very realistic, in-depth planned events, where flying to the ‘AO’ means you may have to rely on Air to Air refuel to be able to make it there and back home, following the correct waypoints/altitudes/speeds to be ‘on station’ at the predetermined time (ToT), where the other Squadrons are a key part of the success of the mission at hand, then the CJTF-13 is THE PLACE TO BE!!! We create MDC’s (Mission Data Cards) where all important information is stated, then we import this into DCS so every pilot has the info in his Kneeboard Map while performing the missions. Maps we use: Persian Gulf , Syria , Caucasus , Marianas (Maybe other maps in the future) We focus on both LAND and NAVAL OPERATIONS in every mission, we only use full fidelity modules which are currently the F-16C, F/A-18C, F-15E and Helicopters. Note* our current active squadrons are as follows: F-16 (RNLAF 313) F-15E (494th FS) F/A-18 (VMFA 212) AH-64 (13th CAB) OH-58D (13th CAB) Air Traffic Control (8 Squadron) F-4 (526th vTFS) F-4 Recruitment thread: Helicopter squadron recruitment thread: Any upcoming modern full fidelity module may be incorporated as well. We are also open to recruit Air Traffic controllers. We are all very happy and willing to help you get the best and most out of your module of choice, but you are required to train on certain topics where you lack some experience by yourself, without us having to try and motivate you to do just that. This is the type of pilot we are looking for: A motivated and dedicated person who WANTS to be great in all things needed to perform realistic combat sorties, as perfectly as possible in a well oiled teamplay war machine. You need to bring the commitment and dedication to learning to excel in CJTF-13. This requires you to go out and look for ways to improve yourself, so when we actually fly missions together, we will all be at our BEST and only have to focus on the mission at hand and not on other things that may distract us from that. ################### The CJTF-13 hold its weekly Mandatory Event on SUNDAY’s @ 1945 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1745Z, Winter Time 1845Z). The CJTF-13 hold its weekly Training Sessions on THURSDAY’s @ 2030 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1830Z, Winter Time 1930Z). #################### The minimum requirements for joining the CJTF-13 are as follows: – Being PRO-ACTIVE, willing to read and learn documents and perfect your skills in your own time, outside of regular training events – Able to fly formation perfectly and able to execute Air to Air Refuel (AAR) in fair weather (for fixed wings) – In any helicopter, you need to be able to conduct a stationary hover pedal-turn to maneuver around tight forward bases. – Basic experience using Navigation, Combat Systems and Weapons – Experience with using SRS (Simple Radio) and Basic knowledge of ATC Communication – Able to execute a CASE 1 Recovery on a CARRIER; if choosing a NAVAL Aircraft - Able to execute an OVERHEAD BREAK and FAN BREAK together with proper AIRBASE procedures; if choosing a LAND BASED aircraft – Able to speak and understand proficient ENGLISH; Communication is key to success, we need to understand eachother – Using TrackIR or a similar system, or Virtual Reality – Owning the aircraft module of your choice and required maps. If you are interested in joining us please visit our website or join our discord and simply contact one of our recruitment officers (with CJTF Staff tag) Website: https://tawdcs.org/battalion/cjtf Discord: https://discord.com/invite/tawdcs If you had any questions , feel free to ask here or directly message me on discord: my ID tag is @catkovsky

Hello, I own the Winwing orion 2 hotas which I am really enjoying for the F-16 I am starting to learn how to fly the Apache and it doesn't feel very comfortable flying it with the MFSSB kit I am not interested in replacing the kit with damper every time I am considering purchasing another orion 2 joystick and set it with the damper kit, or buying something completely different for the purpose. Really appreciate your comments and opinion on this matter.

Just formatted the ED information provided in the DCS AH-64 Apache Quick Start Guide. They should get all the kudo's for providing an excellent reference. I just formatted it a little to fit my Army eyeballs. Update: Added DOPPLER and RADAR ALT checks DCS AH-64 Start Checklist.pdf

Hello! id like to know if we could somehow get anyone to model the AMASE pods onto the wingtips and try removing the ASPI or making a 3D model where the ASPIs are removed, a lot of people would love such a feature/option to use but ED is sticking to an American apache, the AMASE Pod is only being used by the Dutch air force AH-64D and the ASPI is the upwards exhaust which again is only in use by America. Would love an answer to this question.

I'm working on a project for Universal Apache Training mission, and I'm having issues with the following: 1. If player overloads Apache I want a message to pop-up that the Apache is too heavy 2. I have a "race" in which you have to fly as fast as possible without crashing and I want to have a pop-up message at the end which tells you how much time it took the player (and potentially read highest speed the player flew at as well as lowest altitude). Hopefully someone can help me with this as I'm really bad at coding

Hello, is it possible if someone could model the RCEFS (Reduced size Crashworthy Fuel System) on our apache, maybe use the current Legacy 230 gal tank and change its size to the smaller RCEFS. The RCEFS carries 122-125 gals of fuel compared to the old Legacy fuel tank which carried 230. here are images of the RCEFS. Would love to know if we can get it modelled.null

Have been noticing a weird pattern with the apache? Been flying it lately and i decided to test something, as soon as i apply torque and take off the helo has a lot of right roll, it keeps turning to the right for whatever reason. I turned the control indicator on and decided to only apply torque without any HOTAS movement and the apache started turning to the right and doing very weird maneuvers, I'm very sure this isn't realistic and it wasn't like this before the new OB update, is it actually like real life? because i dont see apaches doing right turns this violently during take off. Would love an explanation

4th Aviation Regiment - part of TAW CJTF-13 is looking for Apache Pilots and CPGs. Simple Mission TAW CJTF-13 Channel The 4th AVIATION REGIMENT, part of the CJTF-13 battalion, aims to be the most realistic and immersive virtual experience while still having a good time making friends. We strive to follow real-life procedures as closely as possible in DCS World. We use realistic procedures around the airfields, FOBs, transit, and combat operations. We continually develop extensive documentation and training materials for our pilots supported by SME's and publicly available real-world documentation. Finally, you can participate in large-scale operations together with other JTF-88 squadrons, playing your role in reaching objectives over the campaign spanning multiple months in a given AO. All our missions are carefully planned and executed to ensure we get the most fun and learnings over each iteration. I'm interested, what should I do? Please join our Discord https://discord.gg/tawdcs and talk to me @Highwayman#4077 if you want to ask additional questions or start your journey with us by signing up here on our Main site Additional Information Our basic requirements: Owning the Syria and PG map modules. Owning trackir based solution or using VR. A basic understanding and handling in the airframe. We have a mature user base so we require you to be over 16.

I'm all but certain that this has already been thought of and is on the radar, but I'll bring it up anyways: will we get the option to remove the FCR from the aircraft? I'm assuming it will be a check option like the F-14A/B's LAU-138 rails, so mission creators can remove the FCR from a particular aircraft/slot. In addition, some aircraft retain the de-rotation collar while others remove it entirely, so I would also request an additional option to add/remove that little part as well. D-NR/WO, no de-rotation collar: D-NR/WO, with de-rotation collar:

The targets that we save into the system are shifted so that the targets 1, 2,and 3 meant during the mission are selected via target 3, 4 and 5 on the TSD in the lists of the targets. It should be good if not used to delete the first two targets that are originally in the TSD, so that it corresponds to the narrative.

I'm having this odd problem with the throttle on the apache where I can get them out of detent but will not throttle forward. I am using my Thrustmaster warthog throttle for this command and it showes that the full axis is working in the axis tune screen. Now here is where it gets fun. With the apache completely shutdown the throttle will come out of detent and move the full axis (out of detent and to max power) but when the apache is up and running (engines at ground idle) the throttles will no longer move. What I have discovered is when I turn the battery on the throttles will no longer move out of ground idle unless I turn the battery switch off. I have tried other sliders to operate the throttle but still have the same problem. Maybe I need to try a different switch or style of switch (rotary knob)?

https://discord.gg/sySYqKEw2M Combined Joint Task Force Theta is a US-based DCS tactical realism group with an emphasis on joint air/land/sea multi-national operations. As a tactical realism group, our focus is on the employment of realistic military tactics and doctrine. The group’s main activity are handcrafted campaigns. Campaign missions are run on a weekly to bi-weekly basis. Most often the campaigns depict realistic military operations, but we are not above more fantastical plots on rare occasions. CJTF-Theta does not have mandatory attendance policies. We understand the fact that life sometimes gets in the way of pastimes. The group also does not stipulate that we be the only DCS community that you participate with. If you are interested in joining, want to learn more, or just want to pop in now and then for a flight connect with us via our Discord linked beneath. Any other DCS communities interested in participating in our campaigns, events, or connecting for any other reason are welcome to reach out to us as well. null CLICK ME! https://discord.gg/sySYqKEw2M

ALCON, I just wanted to have a better understanding of the AH-64D hold modes, so I created this learning module. It's how I learn, sorry...but I shared this with my online squadron and thought I would post it here as well. It's just cherry-picked information from the excellent manual and presented in a way that that focuses on key elements of the topic. Feedback welcome. AH64D_HOLD MODES COURSE.pdf

Has anyone been able to limit resupply of the Apache's Chaingun ammo via the warehouse system? I was unable to find it under M230, M788, or M789. I tried the one 30mm option in there, but it's for a bushmaster. Things like the Vulcan ammo seem to be there so this seems like a bug / oversight to me.

Since 2.9 the custom liveries in the saved game folder seems not to work anymore. In my Saved Game folder I have multiple liveries that were visible from the loadout menu before 2.9. Now these liveries are still there but not available from the loadout menu. Did something changed in 2.9 ? I checked the folder names and folder structure and I everything looks fine. Anyone else has the same problem ? ...any solution ?
