TLDR: There’s an ALPHA MP Kiowa Campaign available to check out. This post will link all 8 missions at the bottom of the post Overview My buddies and I really enjoy flying together and experiencing story driven content. We’ve been fortunate to find some likeminded content creators over the years and thoroughly enjoyed our experiences playing MP campaigns like Griffins Original and Remastered - Hormuz - I only wish there was more content like this – created for MP, but also consumable by SP. This is our contribution to the community in this regard. As some of you may know, I am responsible for the Griffins Remastered. Now that the Kiowa is out, my small group embarked on a Kiowa MP/SP campaign in the spirit of the Griffins Remastered called Operation Silent Thunder. See attached PDF for the first mission brief. We are making this for our group but also wanted to share with the community. As the group’s resident ME “expert”, I am currently 4 missions into this campaign. We have storyboards for 8 missions so far. Instead of waiting for all 8 to be written, tested, produced and polished the team thought we should release as we went along. This way interested parties could get their hands on content sooner and provide feedback to us along the way. I consider this content to be pre-release content so you may encounter a bug here or there. You may see a debug statement flash on screen, but all voiceovers are there and the mission has been flown by my group at least once. In other words, you’re an early adopter. Given the Kiowa is still relatively new, I hope this campaign can be enjoyed by more people who are just getting into this helo. Looking forward to people’s comments and feedback. Once you download and install the campaign and skin, you will find it in the “My Campaigns” section listed as F/A-18C – Bold Cheetah. ******************** SITUATION UPDATE JUNE 1, 2013 The USS Abraham Lincoln and its task group have taken up station in the Gulf of Oman, and will soon commence air operations in support of the invocation of Article 5. The objective of our presence is to deter the Iranians from any military expansion in the region, and to show our allies that we are here for them. Our goal is to provide support to the UAE governments in fighting the growing insurgency on the peninsula. US, British, Canadian and French special forces are now on the ground, helping advise the UAE military in counter insurgency strategy. The air wing will provide assistance to this effort, including Close Air Support over and on UAE territory, and air defense of UAE and Saudi Arabian airspace. At this time, we will not be commencing any military action against any regular Iranian military force, nor will we violate the 12-mile Iranian territorial waters or 12-mile airspace boundary. However, we will be ready to strike, if and when called upon. In fact, the campaign has been completed for well over a year now, but due to some real-life challenges I had to put off submitting it as an official, 3rd party developer. This situation has, unfortunately, caused me to pause my pursuit of releasing Bold Cheetah as a 3rd party, paid DLC. At the same time, I’m aware that I’ve been promising it’s been “coming soon” for far too long. I have decided to release the campaign, for free, into the User Files section of the ED website. I started working on Bold Cheetah back in 2018 and finished it up in 2021. It’s been a lot of hard work, and I’m really excited for you to finally enjoy it and I look forward to your feedback. I've started the mission several times, and before entering 03R to initiate takeoff, a warning appears advising me to align myself on the runway, but not to takeoff until I complete the checklist. Once I entered the runway and barely started the checklist, my wingman overshot me, as did the group on Rocket 2. Another thing that's not working for me is BLD TCN 114. The needle is constantly spinning. As far as I know, I would be doing the checklists and alignment correctly. BTW Excellent Support documents!! I like very much your historic and realistic campaigns.

I've encountered an error in mission 8 of the campaign where my wingmen are all unable to take off due to the Humvees placed in front of them that are supposed to move after the initial briefing at Taxi. I have tried to restart the mission multiple times with the same problem every single time. I'm unable to complete the mission as the AAA that are supposed to be dealt with keep shooting me down. P.S. i love the campaign so far it's really fun but this issue is causing me a huge headache

So i've had quite a few issues even getting started in this campaign, Yesterday i tried to fly the second mission. I input the code given to me at the end of the first mission and a briefing picture is displayed, great. so i continue on the mission fly over the point it tells me to and it says wait for AWACS to contact you and i do. it tells me i need to authenticate a code to progress through the mission. it gives me the code Charlie-Delta-Alpha so i go into the AWACS menu to authenticate the code the menu has a bunch of phonetic code ex Sierra Lima Zulu etc. but the menu is completely missing multiple letters. Good afternoon everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know about a new mini-campaign for the best helicopter in DCS. I'm creating this thread for any feedback, bug reports, etc. because I don't get notified on new Comments in the User Files. The summary: In April of 2022, a Brazilian journalist has been kidnapped near the Ba'ath Dam. You've been hired by a Private Military Company to provide helicopter support and transport to help locate and rescue the journalist. The campaign has full voiceovers with kneeboard pages. It's not meant to be a difficult campaign. As long as you can start up, take off, and land the Huey in FARP-sized landing areas, it will be fine. As in the first part of the WORLDS APART series, you find yourself in the role of a German Bell UH-1 helicopter pilot serving in the squadron "WOLF PACK," a German Army unit (Heeres Flieger). The Huey is still in service, not least because of its proven capabilities and reliability under challenging conditions. You are part of a crew of four: your commanding officer, Peter Berger, and the two gunners, Hans and Tom. FEATURES As in SPRING 2025, you will fly with others in the squadron, but you will be on your own in most missions. Combined missions with air and ground forces and naval units from different countries provide variety in an otherwise routine life. You'll conduct both unarmed transport and armed patrol and combat missions by day and night. Occasionally, circumstances require you to perform a task regardless of the weather conditions. GENERAL SITUATION Toward the middle of the year, the security situation in the world continued to deteriorate. The rebels within the Georgian army, who are fighting the moderate central government and seeking a violent reunification with the former Georgian regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, are weakened but not defeated. In the regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, some armed forces of the regional neighbors support the Georgian population in their efforts to create a united Georgia. Far-right fascist groups are fighting Russian troops in Abkhazia. Under the auspices of the United Nations, many countries are deploying forces to separate the various competing armed groups. Parts of the German Armed Forces are entrusted with securing the southern part of Georgia and supporting the government forces in their fight to maintain peace and security in the region. In the process, the area of operations is increasingly shifting from Batumi to the north, and the squadron will probably be moved to Kobuleti in the future. YOUR ROLE You and your crew have returned to Batumi after your experiences in the spring. The situation is calm, and patrol flights are the central part of your program. Surveillance and presence. Your task is to support Georgian and German ground forces in securing the Batumi region before being deployed to Kutaisi in the north. Within your unit, callsign "WOLF PACK," you have the supporting part. You fly lightly armed patrols and transport troops and material. Until further notice, your squadron will remain stationed in the Batumi region and the local airfield. Introduction The missions build on each other, and the story evolves from mission to mission. You get all relevant and available information before each flight in the form of March Orders. The kneeboard also includes March orders, flight planning, navigation logs, airport maps, detailed maps, and satellite images. You have direct access during the flight by flipping back through the kneeboard folder. Unexpected things happen regularly, every day. Any additional information you get from other crew members over the radio. Just follow your commander's instructions because he keeps track of things. Is it just me, or did I miss something here? Aren't the Arctic Thunder campaigns for the F-16 and F/A-18 supposed to be included with the terrain? I recall there being two free campaigns!

Hello, I’m flying with dcs Openbeta, up to date. I have started Cage the bear campaign, SC cold start. I noticed that my kills are credited on the after action report, but are not recorded, neither in the campaign summary, or in my logbook. Number of missions, landings or flight time is ok, but no kill. i tried several time with different pilots, no luck. I noticed that the kills are recorded if I don’t land but not always. On mission 1, i landed on the carrier and took of again : kills are credited in the summary and logbook. on mission 2, I did exactly the same, no kills credited, while they are confirmed in the after action report. i played most of the campaigns and dlc, but it’s the first time I face that issue. Any help ? Thank you

We try our best to maintain professionalism, teach proper procedure, and most of all have fun and work as a team during these missions. They are also persistent, if a group of units dies one mission, they will not make it to the next mission. We also utilize several scripts made by the community to enhance realism, such as the IADS Script, various Moose Scripts, and so on.

Missions by pilots for pilots and ambitious gamers. We hope this Update will be part of the DCS Beta update in Dezember ! This winter, we are releasing our second major service update. The purpose is not to fix bugs but to make improvements that allow even inexperienced pilots to complete the missions with a bit of practice successfully. A significant gap that we fill with this update is the missing patches on the flight combos of the crew and a distinctive skin for the Huey. We have designed logos and badges that will adorn the upper arms and helmets of the crew and the nose of the Huey after the update. Not least for reasons of inversion, all missions will be updated to the current state of the art. This add-on helps to dive even deeper into the world of the crew and create a unique experience. Test your skills in missions as close to reality as possible with maximum enjoyment.

"Sea Flea Mission One" - UH-1 Single/Two Player (Syria Map, Super Carrier) Version: 20221217 (DML update) Download: please click here (ED User files) French Version by Tanuki44: please click here Required Modules: UH-1 Huey, Syria, Super Carrier Players: 1 - 2 Feedback: Please use this thread to post suggestions, bug sightings etc. Summary: "Sea Flea" is a string of missions taking place during an international relief mission for the middle east that runs up against a developing international crisis. You are part of "Sea Flea", a UH-1 group that was originally thought to provide logistics support. These missions initially focus on logistics and CSAR, then branch out to troop insertion and light escort duty. This is the first mission that introduces you to the fleet, and therefore requires you to only land on frigates, a carrier and LHA, and hover-extract some hapless sailors lost at sea. You know, the easy stuff. Oh yeah. In darkness. Over open water. There are at least two more missions that are currently undergoing testing. Duration: This mission typically runs 45 minutes. Weather: CAVOK, medium wind from the North-West. Dusk, expect darkness in 50 Minutes How to play: Whenever you are not sure what to do, choose Communication->F-10 Other->Task Force Status Update and you will receive instructions to your current objective, including BRA and Frequencies. The mission isn't over until you are told so, so don't think that simply because you are ordered RTB means that you are done, soldier! Background: Another pandemic has swept the world in a deadly, year-long crisis that helped forge new alliances, yet also re-kindled generations-old enmity. Four month after finally becoming available, the first doses of a new vaccine are being shipped to the Middle East to jump-start this region's vaccination efforts. Tensions here have always been high, and the innumerable casualties caused by the pandemic have brought this region to the brink of collapse. In the past three months, a universal lock-down, coupled with news of combined international support, has helped to calm the mercurial political landscape and established a surprisingly enduring, if perhaps deceptive, peace. Three bulk carriers, carrying a total of 10 million doses of the new vaccine, are enroute to Jableh (Syria), where the main distribution hub is being set up. Led by the UN, both USA and Russia are lending their support. An international task force under the command of Admiral Behring is implementing UN's "Uplift Shield" mandate. They are escorting the three bulkers to ensure their safety; landed expeditionary forces in Syria are supporting the build-up of regional infrastructure. Since Jableh has no port facilities, your group of UH-1H will be tasked with helping to land, distribute and protect the vaccine once the bulkers reach the shore later tonight. At 03:02 this morning, Fleet Intel reported that a coup attempt was underway in Syria's capitol. The situation appears to be fluid, and it seems that at least one yet to be identified country is supporting the attempt. As of 03:45 the Task Force is at heightened readiness. The day has been uneventful. As the sun sets, some fighting has been reported in and around Damascus, but it hasn't spread to other cities - probably in part due to the pandemic lock-down. Our landed troops at Jableh report the situation as "uneasy but calm". Initial Objectives Twenty minutes ago, our E-2D early warning aircraft "Eagle Eye" reported an unsanctioned SAM-Site go on-line in Jableh. Our Russian Liaison have confirmed that the SAM is none of theirs; they have agreed to our plans to immediately neutralize the threat. Two Turkish F-4 scrambled out of Lebanon are already enroute, with a flight of F/A-18 being readied on the Truman. Two minutes ago, "Eagle Eye" have reported multiple bogeys inbound on the Task Force. This can't be a coincidence. More CAP are being scrambled, and Task Force actual has ordered to relocate her flag to the Ticonderoga-Class Cruiser "Kraft" . Your orders are to check in with Task Force command and stand by for tasking. Single/Multiplayer This mission can be accomplished either solo or two-player coop. Both players are required to own all modules. You can only play BLUEFORCE. Hot and cold starting is provided. Next Steps Currently, two more missions are near complete: one that focuses on troop insertion and cargo delivery (with an optional F/A-18 interlude for those who like combined arms), the other a combat escort.

Im having issues entering the UTM style cordinates in this campaign, as the campaign gives you 6 digits (eg. KN 545 441) but UTM has 10 numbers (eg. KN 54521 44162), and if i just enter the 6 digit style in it comes up 400 miles away. The missions dont give you the 37T part of utm either, which is sometimes different, so im not sure if thats the part im entering wrong or not? ive re-watched 10 different vids on WP entry in case ive missed something, but none mention the 6 digit format. i tried filling out the 10 spaces with zeros but no success there either. I was able to visually spot targets in previous, more confined missions, but now cant progress any further.

...and wow that was cool. The victory tune at the end was worth the effort alone! If you haven't played the Viggen campaigns, do so - they're well worth your time. I think I enjoyed Atropos the most - that coordinated strike on the runway was just so satisfying, with enemy CIWS flying everywhere... Professionals Study Logistics kicked my ass (it took a lot of practice and learning to get the taxiway landing done, and more importantly the setup after re-arming). I found Hark, Villains tricky, too (you don't have much time to muck about with the maverick scope while the enemy ships come through the fog, and had to play very defensively). But, yeah. It felt like a real grounded scenario, with escalating stakes and pushed me to learn some of the Viggen's more obscure systems. Highly recommended!

Original title of this thread - Intro Mission - Blown Away Reflected - sir, your dream of creating a realistic and extremely engaging campaign seems to be a reality. I sincerely hope this is a financial success for you. That being said, I picked up the Huey over the weekend and purchased your campaign based on the "buzz" around the community. I also was pointed your direction by fellow Campaign creator, @Badger633. I ran the opening mission this morning and was blown away by the immersion. I can see why people are so impressed. If the rest of the campaign resembles the first mission, I am in for a real treat! Just want to say thanks for all the HARD WORK you put into this product. Also - I am enjoying your YouTube videos on building missions/campaigns. You rock!

Attached is a track file and a debrief log that demonstrate the bug: Fly a mission and crash intentionally (or unintentionally). Then press Left-Alt-B to bring up the briefing window. Then press fly. You will find yourself in a new plane as if nothing happened. In the attached track I did it several times in a row. I first discovered this when running a Campaign mission where the spawn caused me to attain mission success (apparently because I killed some enemy defenses when I crashed) where return to base was part of mission success. But of course spawning a new plane shouldn't count! mission.log Mission.trk
