Mind = Blown

Wow great video , the map looks so alive, really impressive , and so many small details on the buildings / roads etc.

also the fact it was recorded on an average gamer rig (Wagg`s computer) and not some super quad-SLI massively OC`d CPU means that performance are even better for normal use.

pre-Alpha version, not bad, but my only critic has that airport require more work to a "acceptable" standard to make them a realistic vision (some 3D models, no taxiway sights, lights or parking aprons sights) with a civilian airport.

Aside from any missing lights and signs, and the fact the jets all use the same skin, it's such a massive step up from what we have on the Black Sea map in fidelity that I think it's perfectly acceptable.

Just WOW, shocking.gif

... what a amazing job ED! :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:

I like the massive details, cars on the road and parking decks.

Q: Are these civil aircraft map objects, static objects (which we can place in the ME) or will they be available as AI objects?

Kind regards and keep up the stunning work,

Fire

Unlocked i7 an 780ti is average rig? That card at launch was worth more that most people's computers :helpsmilie:

read again, average GAMER rig.

both those CPU and GPU are on par with what a gamer would buy today (GTX 970 probably a better choice price wise but still)

a hardcore gamer would buy a i7 socket 2011 series 5xxx cpu and atleast 2 GPU SLI combo.

i`m fully aware that the most common GPU today is still intel HD3000 or some other intergrated graphics solution.

My apologies then, I forgot that being gamer means having a lot of money and buying high end components. I played games all my life but always build midrange "sweet spot" PC, so I'm probably not a gamer. ;)

But I'm sure that EDGE will run good even on my non-gamer rig. I just wish that I could play it already, the wait is killing me.

That McCarren video looks fantastic. Really hope we get a public alpha release relatively soon - even if it's just a single player release that all you can do initially is just fly around.

Pre Alpha = adding features into game.

Alpha = Not feature complete but in a playable state ie still adding stuff.

Beta = most if not all features are ingame and being optimised.

So for a pre-alpha, it's looking very good.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Anyone notice the cockpit shadows? The pilot casts a shadow that has his mic stem visible at about 1.30 in. Thats flipping clever, rendering shadows with that level of detail.

I also wonder if limiting civilian traffic will be possible. Hard to recreate a warzone with a busy highway :lol:

Which "not expected" planes did Eagle Dynamics release in a very early stage?
