I don't understand? If I paid for the map why is it now free, to these people now?

 

shouldn't you own the map to be able to go on to a server?

The map is only free to use on a dedicated server, the hosting mashine, if the -norender option is active.

 

so you can host on those maps, but cant fly on the same computer.

 

if you want to fly on it, you still need to buy/have the maps.

Its only for dedicated servers, you still need to own the map to be able to connect to server.

All this software take a huge amount time and money to make so they should not be free all.

Great to see the maps becoming free for hosting rigs.

 

BTW, still everyone has to pay for them. With the server alone and no clients, no one is playing at all. It's just totally unnecessary to have to pay up twice for the maps just to be able to set up a server to play on and this will now come to an end, which I'm glad about.

They aren't free to players, they are free for dedicated servers.

Isnt that the effect you get when something is damaged beyond a certain threshold and dies after a while?

I'm a little disappointed... seems that the WW2 era is abandoned...

 

 

we have a b-17 piloted by ghosts.. many bugs here and there, map not optimized and so on...

I can see ED waiting for the flight sim expo in June to show off the new carrier module, but that's just my opinion.

Well it was estated that for a few weeks ago that the new carrier near completed. So wait for a expo???? Dcs is for a select group. A expo change nothing. Mac release for expo is much more realistic. :D

Yup, abandoned... except for the P-47, Fw-190A, Mosquito, 262, two new maps, new damage model, new dogfighting logic for AI, a host of improvements and new additions for the Asset pack, (and much more)... I mean if that is your idea of abandoned that is.
