jester224 Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 I am on Steam for good or ill. What I find is usually, and 2.5.6 was exception, is that the releases roll out pretty much the same time. With steam it will patch as soon as it can. I don't have access to everything and mods can be a little more fiddly, but this is outweighed by the patching.

BoneDust Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 No I am not a moderator but I just don't understand why people are asking questions which have already been answered by ED. That makes me very tired Some people don't have time to read through 10,000 posts. :) Alienware New Aurora R15 | Windows® 11 Home Premium | 64bit, 13thGen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9 13900KF(24-Core, 68MB| NVIDIA(R) GeForce RTX(TM) 4090, 24GB GDDR6X | 1 X 2TB SSD, 1X 1TB SSD | 64GB, 2x32GB, DDR5, 4800MHz | 1350W PSU, Alienware Cryo-tech (TM) Edition CPU Liquid Cooling power supply | Pimax Crystal VR
unknown Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Some people don't have time to read through 10,000 posts. :) You don't have to, but reading the posts from the same day is not asking to much for, or is it? You had one answer direct above your post! For a more specific answer all you had to do was looking on the PREVIOUS page, the same goes for Lenux, just a look at the previous page and you had your answer before even posting the question. Like b1n4ry said, this is just lazy and tiring for everybody else, reading the same question again and again every day/week..... Tiramisu Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 There is too much metadiscussion in this thread. Talking about the actual topic would be much more helpful. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/openbeta/2.5.6.43872/ Is this patch live already? I cant wait for the new Ka-50 cockpit. :pilotfly:

Rudel_chw Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Update is live, but unfortunately I cant see anything for Hornet. I cant explain why...:( Nothing for the F-16 either .. I assume the team was busy fixing 2.5.6 bugs :) It is the right choice from my point of view. Harker Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 I don't mind no Hornet or Viper updates, but no word on performance optimization? I thought that was one of the major issues. Eldur Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Like b1n4ry said, this is just lazy and tiring for everybody else, reading the same question again and again every day/week..... It's as tiring to read all the GIYF comments, so why don't you guys just ignore those questions at all if you don't like them? The internet has more than enough "use the search" comments already which sadly often appear while doing so instead of the actual answers Instead, check out on the patch notes that are just at the top of this page I don't see anything about a fix on those loading time/preload issues, hooves crossed, time will tell. My uneducated guess however is that it will run again for me... or just a bit of hope Looking forward to that new Shark pit... and finally, the Viggen's got an radar EL axis. BRT next, please!
Foobee Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Many thanks for the updated manual  ! Also, the longer loading time before reaching the main screen/menu seems to be fixed :) (I had this minor issue since the .6 release). Cheers! In my case it was error message "Someone logged in to your machine" and game will crash to desktop every 3 minutes after logging in. Had to stop playing dcs since it started.
