you can stop the update at any time, it will continue where it last was after checking files

Thank you for reply BIGNEWY. I knew this, I was wondering if it's possible to update DCS to this patch, temporarily excluding the update of Syria module, but without deleting it from my Module Manager. Maybe it's not possible... thanks anyway.

Well considering I just updated my beta branch, that ship has sailed, but I now consider that one the Stable Version 🙂  The "Stable" version is so out of date the update would have taken twice as long.

dont worry, it does not matter, in the future we will update in a way that it will change to stable anyway.

This update essentially is putting everyone on the same version number no matter if you have stable or open beta, it is seamless, just update and play.

Module manager controls it all, if you have it installed it will update, if you dont want it to update it needs to be deleted from the module manager.

thanks

In the future we will change all installs to be stable version, but today just update and enjoy no matter what version you had before.

👍 Is just me or does it feel like there's some improved performance in VR, or is it just my placebo?  VR works better after this patch (Quest P., better timeings).

Has probably to do with the improved terrain streaming….

Thanks for the a super patch and a great changelog ED!

I have moved houses, so currently my connection speed is cut in half. Come winter and frost gone, my old ISP will dig a fiber for me, (for free) and I'll finally be on 1Gbps.

I just had to test this though!
Cheers all!

Great patch.  Love the FA18 FLCS improvements!  Actually damage a left gear on landing!  Bravo Zulu!  Kneeboards!  Spitfire textures looking fine!

Did the save game state/ save mid mission (not sure what to call it), make it in todays patch? Haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. Downloaded then had to go work.

* read the patch notes , just didn’t know if it slid in under the radar

(And the Su-25A *keeps dreaming* )
Think the FC3 MiG-29 will be updated along with the FF development? So they probably left it out of the team doing the FC3 updates and it is rather handled by the MiG-29 FF team at some point. Would be my guess since it is easier to coordinate and avoid cross-team deadline conflicts and such.
Have the same assessment!

It could be the reason for VR - improved terrain streaming. For example, over Ghaza I had 65-72FPS (72Hz, Quest) in Apache at the height of buildings and trees, and now a stable, solid 72FPS and better rendering times. I can even fly over the Mariana Islands. Nice.

Man... Can F-5E be any more dead? 😞 The only significant update it is going to get for sure is the new landing gear physics... because every plane is in line for that particular update. The last one I recall was the engine sounds. That one was big (no sarcasm) indeed, considering the engine sounds upon release.

Speaking of audio. It was a high time for Dora. Any everyday Dora pilot here to record an updated audio demo?

we like to revisit our older modules, but we are not a huge company and resources are limited. When we have time we always look to update what we can, as you can see with the FC3 update, and others like the A-10C and BS3. I hope we can share more updates with you all in the future.

thanks
