This changelog looks very promising. Debugging capability (recordings), stability fixes, Increased HE range etc... great stuff!

I also like the order of things, having stability right at the very top says indirectly that ED is taking this seriously. :)

Looking forward to this patch!

Well it looks like F-15C: DCS FC3 wont make it in time for the holidays now.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1942004#post1942004

As mentioned in an earlier message though, this work has equated to more time and this project will not be ready in time to be released with the 1.2.7 update. However, we think the additional work / time will be well worth the wait.

No EDGE

No Mig-21

No F-15C (AFM)

The list of the most anticipated items before the holidays is almost down to nadda.

Time do move slowly when waiting, but see it from the bright side, your holiday will feel much longer! ;)

I have a question about the crash log....

If I am get a software crash, DCS will now auto save a crash log for me.

But I am still required to submit the crash log for review.

Is this correct? How do I submit the crash report? I assume I would submit it to a bug forum?

Any chance the bug report will get sent automatically? Like the way a windows error occurs, a pop up window appears asking if I want to send the report?

It be better on the forums then you can say what your hardware is and what was happening/you was doing in the thread.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Are you talking about the track files that will now be generated automatically?

Track file are now automatically created when a crash is detected. In order to help the team find and correct MP issues that we are not always in position to produce during testing, 1.2.7 introduces the writing of tracks even when the game crashes. These tracks can be provided to the testers and developers in order to reproduce the conditions that caused the crash and correct it. This feature is a big step towards solving possible future and current problems that are often difficult to hunt down. When playing on a server and you experience a crash, put up an MP crash post and include that track in your post.

I suspect that as before we will need to go into saved games / dcs / logs and then just zip up the dcs.log, crash and dmp files along with this track file.

Auto sending would be nice too- that way if you have someone else taking care of the server they don't need to remember to go into the necessary folders and button everything up.

What I would REALLY like, now that we're on the subject, is for that log, crash, dmp and track file to not necessarily send on its own- as much as just be date stamped or put in a folder of their own.

What happens now quite frequently is the dcs.log gets written over with new MP sessions- so as soon as you start MP again, the dcs.log gets moved to dcs.log.old (something like that) and if you're not careful you can lose track of where the error occurred... it just jumbles up the process.

Having the dcs.log date stamped like everything else is would be a big help for us.

Being able to setup keybinds in game is a big plus, especially when new aircraft come out.

I'm interested to see how the ECM effectiveness has been improved.

As far as I know ECM in DCS just causes radar to lose its lock?

It doesn't really even do that right now.
