Oasis Driver now in Steam Store for windows mixed reality
mbucchia replied to Kayos's topic in Virtual Reality
That folder contains your room data. Having someone else send you theirs will not work obviously. If you want to revert to Mixed Reality Portal, follow the "deep cleaning" instructions on the wiki, and reinstall Mixed Reality Portal as well. -
Hello @ChillDamage Very Nice job !! I m currently building also an f14 pit. You Said in Your previous post that you went to the muséum to look at a f14 cockpit. May i ask you Which muséum you went ?

+1 Mirage 2000C is my favourite FF machine in DCS, but I would be really interested in Mirage 2000-5, which is more capable and modern than C. BTW. RAZBAM stopped F-15E and ED started F-15C, so maybe as Mirage 2000C support is finished, maybe ED will be convinced about 2000-5. Regards, Mat

Graphically it looks very nice. I'm not a fan of Russian planes but I really like this one.

May not be magic for any of the issues users are experiencing, but for me turning off HAGS made a world of difference to smoothness when using my PCL in DCS.

Hello dear ED team, First of all, thank you so much for the amazing work you put into DCS – it truly brings a lot of joy to the community. I wanted to ask if it might be possible in the future to have a placeable ILS in the Mission Editor. We already have the option to place TACAN beacons, which is wonderful, but an ILS option would open up even more possibilities. With a configurable ILS (frequency and direction), mission creators could adapt maps to more modern scenarios – for example, setting up improvised or expeditionary airfields with instrument approaches on the Germany map. This would add a lot of immersion and realism, especially for modern aircraft operations. It’s just a humble wish, but I think many mission designers (myself included) would be very grateful. Thank you kindly for your consideration!

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!

Yeah, the face gasket is really just only a very flexible light blocker. I left it on because of that purpose and i have all needed bindings on my hotas + years of muscle memory. ;) -

I hope they give us an option to bind 2 engines per throttle axis
Pochi replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: C-130J
Hi, After watching start up video about PLA for starting, I would like to ask if it will be possible to have our throttle at 0 PLA physically to be idle in the sim and use a switch to toggle reverser during landing ? Also will there be a way to set up notches to match those of the throttle ? Unless, there are no notches on the real throttle ? Best regards, Pierre -
Please Guys, if you want help, then help those who want to help you. Show us your DCS settings. It's strange that those who want to help you post pictures more often and more frequently than those who want this help. Problems are often just symptoms, frequently triggered by multiple settings in the DCS system. Are mods installed? If so, which ones? Do you have the fxo and metashaders2 folders in the game settings section under DCS? If not, do so. Shader problems are not always solved by simply toggling the switches in the DCS settings.

Thanks for the info! Yes, I have exactly these missiles in mission 1. And in most missions!

Do you mean the various emblems on the plane? I think that's not a problem. Since they have to be drawn manually

Sure, an F-18 remaster would be great - AFTER we get an UH-1, Mi-8, F-86, MiG-15, L-39 remaster, and AFTER the Yak-52 is finished. Oh and AFTER we get a proper cockpit for the “remastered” F-5, obviously!

1. High-resolution textures like F4 Phantom's cause low performance in multiplayer. 2. Hornet's textures offer a very good balance of performance and resolution. 3. Hornet's texture size is easy to create, very good for the attachment of numerous low- to mid-resolution photoreals and decals, making it easy for skin makers. Hornet texture is a matter of skill of the skin maker. 4. The F16 textures are too large and cause photoreal / decal noise. becase big textuer need big hi-res decal In particular, many user F16 skins have color errors, such as purple. 5. Many people mistakenly believe that higher resolutions are not always better. Creating high-resolution skins requires at least 128GB RAM, Creating a high-resolution skin requires 15GB SSD per folder.

Personally, I think the fa18 texture is fine. The uv layer size is very appropriate. The reason is that when attaching various photoreal // decals, if the texture size is too wide like f16, a lot of noise of texture and . I think razabam's template is very well made. If the size is too large, there will be serious performance issues and not good for skin makers. big textuer need big high-res decal

Thx. We've known about the mass use of drones since at least 2022. It would be useful to finally have it in DCS, since it's supposed to simulate the battlefield, at least to some extent. Perhaps @currenthill will add it as an official part of the package. Of course, radar reflection is also important.

Yes, it's a mod. There are no native kamikaze drones in DCS as of now.

Hi I have 64 Go RAM and a 5080 nVidia and I had freeze too in VR with Meta quest 3. Even with my hardware. So I think it's a question of VRAM. I'm use to create very heavy loaded mission and on some maps ( especially Germany) the VRAM saturation is quickly reached. What I've done with light graphic concessions ? In Oculus debug tool, I've set the pixel per display pixel overide to 1.4 but in other hand I use OpenXR Toolkit and in DCS I've set the resolution at 2676x2892. My MQ3 is set at 90Hz. It doesn't matter the definition you give since OpenXR toolkit overides this definition in DCS at 2676X 2892 I've reduced the preload radius to 90.000 The others cursors (forest visibility, clutters/grass, scenery detail factors, forest details are set to max and the smoke density to 5.) I've reduced the clouds to standart clouds but I use the Bandit648's weather mod at full resolution. With nVidia inspector: VERY IMPORTANT: I've reduced the FPS at 45 ( 1/2 90Hz) , preset K for DLSS, no Low latency (2 lines) and synchro set to Force ON. I can assume that with 45fps, the game is very FLUENT with a nice display. Freezes are caused by the change frequency decrease when the VRAM is too full. And of course, I've regerenated my DCS and nVidia shaders and are excluded from my AV, the DCS directory, the saved game\DCS directory and the nVidia cache directory.

I've never really looked into this, but do we have operational kamikaze drones in DCS? We have the MQ9, of course, but that's a reconnaissance and CAS drone. What about the other types? I remember seeing Shahed drone on a screenshot once (with truck) but it might be a mod (not official part of DCS) of @currenthill? Mod?

With the upcoming FFB market for flightsims DCS should work on this. Now MOZA is trying to give customers some linear fake forces. But with other big manufactures coming DCS needs to invest in native ffb support per aircraft!
