  1. Iniochos is an annual exercise carried on by the Hellenic Air Force in cooperation with the army and navy. The first exercise was back in the mid 80s and lasted for 15 days. The purpose of the exercise is to train mass formations (COMAO) in complex missions in cooperation with other land and sea assets. In 2015 Iniochos became an INVITEX exercise with the cooperation of US Special Forces and IAF with F-16I Sufa. Since then, every year, massive numbers of aircraft take part from various countries (USA, UK, Italy, Slovenia, UAE, Qatar, Spain etc.) in a 10 day mission profile. Iniochos missions SEAD AIRFIELD STRIKE HVT STRIKE ANTI-SHIP STRIKE SLOW MOVER SUPPORT CSAR DYNAMIC TARGETING/STRIKE COORDINATION/RECCE/CAS HVAA (High Value Air Asset) PROTECTION In October 2025, LockOn Greece | DCS World Greece and Joint Air Task Force (JATF) are launching their massive Iniochos campaign in the map of Syria. In a 30v30 environment, Red and Blue side fight over a vast territory. Jets, helicopters, naval assets, AWACS, ground commanders, ATC/GCI and human JTACs are in place for victory. Both sides will have a preset battlefield. Red side will operate with F-16, F-18, F-15E, F-14B, MiG-29S, Su-27, J-11 and JF-17 along with CH-47F, UH-1H, Mi-8 and Mi-24P while Blue will have F-16, F-18, F-15E, F-14B, AV-8B, A-10C II, AH-64D, OH-58D, CH-47F, UH-1H, Mi-8, Mi-24P and KA-50 III. Helicopters on both sides can make use of the Dynamic Cargo to resupply bases with ammunition while Blue will have a CTLD capability for limited unit deployment. Ground commanders can move and operate all ground and naval assets as well as MQ-9 Reaper drones for recon purposes and mark targets on the F10 map for strike packages. CSAR option is available via DML scripts. Be aware, things on the battlefield might change as the scenario unfolds. May the best side win!

  2. Thanks! For the moment nothing has changed, they’ll just be making guest appearances in screenshots and videos. Think of it as free helicopter wallpapers Oh and regarding your comment on YT about the pilots, no work has been done it's just that the previous video was using old footage. I'm wrapping up the CopterLife assets pack, though. It's not going to be as polished as I'd like but it's been sitting on my HDD for too long. It contains ground vehicles, ships, driveable ships, sinking ships and static objects. More pics in the imgur album: https://imgur.com/a/hrjpEid

  5. I have good eyesight but close up is a bit degraded I can still read cell phone text messages 0 issue but its most comfortable from 1 foot 5" away... further is fine but closer gets blurry and I cant focus on it. My primary VR unit has been the G2 I have used it for many years and have tons of hrs in dcs with it. Its been flaky the last 10 months probably because of a failing cable. The audio quit working and its hard to start up and the whole time its running its constantly disconnecting and reconnecting some USB thing (probably mic or audio) as you can hear it chime but I was using until yesterday. I had the VR1. It was an abysmal experience. It was suppose to replace my dying g2 5 months ago. It sucked on all fronts for 4000 bucks I expected the image to at least be clear. That sucked big time too. the center FOV was blurry and it was so bad I really can't imagine they all looked like this "how the hell did this get past inspection" I tried what I could with it but quickly lost motivation as it felt like a hardware issue and Somnium was always bragging about how awesome their quality control was... I didn't even bother trying to return it to get it inspected (no refund in US). I'm assuming it either doesn't work with my brain or it was damaged in shipping. a bunch of distortion, chromatic aberration, slight double vision and blurry center FOV. I knew I was screwed after 5 seconds of using it. "**** it's not ****ing collimated what the ****!!!" was the knee jerk words I spit out after putting it on. It looked like broken binoculars or a bent rifle scope. I was worried it was because aspheric lens suck with my brain or a bunch of people with caveman eyeballs are using these things and they are so blind they can't tell wtf is going on. I was super nervous I would be stuck with the g2 for another 4 years My super arrived 3 hrs ago and I gave it a shot... 1) The package is awesome and arrived unscratched it's well secured and protected without setting the buyer back 500 bucks for a pelican case they dont want (vr1) its cardboard and foam.. it's fine 10/10 2) its looks well built and compact enough its bigger than the G2 but its still reasonable the VR1 sticks out from your face too far this is less oddly proportioned it would be nice if it was a pound lighter but this is fine I can deal no problem. 3) after taking it out of the box the first thing I investigated was the cable. The VR1 had 2 of them (ultimate edition) this only has one but the cable on the super kind of sucks. its very stiff and heavy The Vr1, despite having 2 of them wins here as they were nice and supple and were just slightly less annoying than the single cable on the super. It wont even lay flat its still trying to coil up like it was in the box. This will probably need a ceiling mounted hanger. I guess you cant win em all. 4) Let's try out the fit... Put it on and meh. it's kind sucky not horrid but its far from good. the PSVR and G2 are pretty much the gold standard in fit. Companies be like " let's invest 4 million to develop a face interface and headstrap for our new VR headset. NO!!!! just copy the g2 and modify it as little as possible to make it work with your VR headset. OR maybe they didn't invest 4 million in R&D for their new HMD strap and thats the problem??? It doesn't seem like it can be adjusted to fit right and there is too much gap on the sides, also its just seems like it doesnt want to sit level and wants to drop to one side. However it AT LEAST feels like it has some curve to it and has "SOME" degree of proper fit. its like a 5/10 you can tell its kind of trying to fit right. The VR1 felt like strapping a hard back book to your face it was so bad it actually made me angry " Dude... WHAT THE ****" was the instant reaction... The super was more like " ugh... whatever ill deal with this later" 5) let's test it out in Steam VR house as that was my primary test room with the VR1. I would always get a chuckle out of the people who would complain that the image on a vr headset sucked and after much troubleshooting figured out it was because the lens protectors were still stuck on there. SO every new HMD I get I make sure to leave them on just for fun and my first 2 minutes is spent looking at the WMR house, Steam house or in this case the Pimax planet thing. The Pimax planet loads and Im super worried this is going to suck again and I put on the HMD with screen protectors in place... AND.... Its ****ing AWESOME the image is already way better than the VR1. This is great, I look around and everything is in focus I can tell within 1 second that this Is a win its way ahead of the VR1 even with the screen protectors in place over all its worse than the G2 at this point but I feel WAY better. I remove the screen protectors after about a minute and... yeah. Win. this is WAY better than the G2... Finally something better. 6) The FOV doesn't look as big as the VR1 but better than the G2. Dont know what it is but we'll investigate this, hoping I can find a way to get more out of it. This is a problem for later. Im not worried its okay but I dont think it beats the VR1 out of the box here. 7) The software is not bad. I think there are some items lost in translation. My biggest issue was selecting the open Xr runtime. That was the only thing to annoy me so far. Its implied that its selected but you actually have to click it to initialize it. thats really dumb that set me back an Hr trying to figure out why it wasn't launching dcs in VR 8). Finally got dcs to launch and it looks awesome. I set nothing up 100% render resolution and like nothing else just "does it load" type thing. Ran my test mission and everything looks amazing... 19 fps but a really sharp 19 fps. Im not sure how much Ill have to give up in quality but using DFR and some other tricks Im expecting this to end up okay after some tuning. 10) I feel okay about this so far. I dont feel like im screwed (like with the VR1) everything feels like it can be solved and I have a good foundation to work off of. The only issue that seems a bit odd was the walls appeared to bulge out in the steam house. didn't notice this in DCS yet this looks like something that can be fixed in software. Over all distortion is much less than VR1. This will be investigated later. Ill write a review after sometime. 4090, 13900k and 64bg ram

  6. I am currently working on other projects, hopefully this winter I can resume working on the planned "F-5E: Expansion" Modules. Core AI, Player FCS and Player DCS Are planned for the first release, after which the Player Remastered version, if at all, due to models being encrypted. Since putting it on pause I've learned several new things that will aid in quicker turn around on getting this project done quicker and cleaner.

  9. Don’t think I’ve been this excited for a module release for a long time. Probably since the F14. I’m very hyped about the fulcrum. Still pretty angry about the Razbam situation particularly the Harrier personally as I fly that a lot. But I’ll still be getting the Fulcrum 100% it’s just such a great looking jet with so much character.

  19. Based on posts here previously, yes. Orbx devs in production as well can be the case especially how they specialize in meshes, but the core team is from the South Atlantic map. Same "characteristics" are found in both products. If Orbx themselves have absorbed the team into their inhouse production, it has not been made public. I won't believe the store pages because publishers usually, 99% of the time, writes marketing and information as if they did the product themselves. Same happened with Razbam's South Atlantic. (which were not RB's work) I can be wrong, and if I am, I want to know the truth about this. I want to be corrected, which at least is something. It just seem wrong letting people pre judge the map based on Orbx work in MSFS as it doesn't look like Orbx's trademark work. I dislike the publishing marketing methods. Merit should go to the hands at work on these things, even if goes in the title "Orbx presents Kola map, by ______".

  21. Hey @Gun Jam I was also a victim of the whole Somnium VR1 'experience' lol Pretty much same thing as you. Paid for that piece of junk months in advance, kept getting delivery estimations stalled due to the 'supposedly incredible quality control', and then when I finally received that thing I couldn't believe how spectacularly terrible it was. To get things tarted, the face gasket felt exactly how you described, like the edges of a hard-cover book pressing on my face. The visuals definitely felt completely wrong, headache inducing. Not terrible enough to maybe give you an impression that there was any manufacturing defect, but bad in a way that nothing seemed remotely close to the any decent clarity while being genuinely incredibly uncomfortable to look at. Yes, true there were plenty of things to adjust, but heaven knows I spent a good deal of time trying all possible things, for a long time and that headset was JUST PAIN, plain and simple. And to add insult to injury, the 'least bad' wearing position for me with the best sweet spot meant that its very narrow nose opening under the headset would literally completely close my nostrils - rendering me completely unable to breathe through my nose. Oh, and don't even get me started on eye tracking... very important feature, oversold by their CEO even mocking Pimax, and turned out it was so bad, inaccurate and unstable that it was downright useless in every regard. At the very least I'm in the EU so I could request to return it. I did my deeds, returned it within the 14 day trial period, and yet their support team (repeatedly claimed by the owner to be great, responsive, true to 'more expensive but better EU service standards') was less than responsive to say the least, and not just with me. I spoke to at least 3 other members who were struggling for a long time to actually get their money back. Eventually I did (after they got enough complains from us and even some threats to resorting to contacting credit cards and banks) , but it was one unsettling experience dealing with that company. Somnium's lies about production and delivery dates, constant stalling, broken promises (even today they still don't have local dimming), poor product design, appalling buggy and unfinished software, steep price and all wrapped up by bragging how great their made in EU product and services were and how amazing their quality to control was, makes Pimax look like an angel. With that rant out of the way.... your feedback about the Super seems encouraging. I also placed an order but for the Ultrawide, which will probably be delivered around end of year or next year. However, what concerns me is what you said about the FOV. I have an OG Crystal and I'm very happy with its clarity already, so what I really need it just more FOV. It supposedly should have even better FOV than the Somnium VR1, and yet in your case it doesn't? Did you measure how many degrees you got with the VR1? Also, could you measure how much you're getting with the Super? With the OG Crystal I get 104 HFOV and the VR1 around 115 HFOV, both with corrective lens inserts. In case the HFOV turns out being nothing to write home about, I'll definitely just keep my OG. Got it dialed in and working fine (though it took 2 RMAs with replacement units. First had dead pixels and second broken IPD adjuster. 3rd is flawless).

  29. No, I won't switch to Su-25T avionics because people will use it as it has TGP, which Su-22 didn't have. The TV screen was used only for Kh-29T seeker feed and Wyuga elint system. Su-25A avionics have identical gunsight and weapon system as in Su-22. This will do for now. If the CWS guy will not be as busy with Su-30 and 35 for Codename Flanker, he might cook a CWS for Su-22 - already talked with him about it and he agreed - that will allow it to have working TV while still having Su-25A avionics. Moreover, mod is made in such a way that switching avionics to su-25t will render it useless and most things won't work properly. You might like it or not but that is my decision - I am not letting people do things with my mod that shouldn't be done.

I need help from someone to make this possible trough Saved Games Mods folder using only LUAs, redirecting placement and from where to load model... This is all base core things, no custom models and textures. I would like to make same for Huey, Hind and some other aircrafts.

  34. Su-22M4 Mod Information and Progress - August 2025, Su-22M4 is an FC3 based, free mod of a legendary export variant of Su-17 attack aircraft, It is in FC3 fidelity with a lot of the cockpit being clickable as well as some basic system implementation. These include: - Cold Start Procedure - Generators, Pumps, APU, Gyro spool up, - In cockpit lighting - dimmable flood lights as well as warning lights with master caution reset, - RWR turn on/off with volume and brigtness controll, - Weapon control panel - ripple quantity, interval, master arm, - Basic SAU Channels (autopilot), - Wing Sweep Controll (only cosmetic for now, no effect on flight characterisitcs), CWS like in Su-30 is planned, this will allow for CRT display being usable for TV munition seeker view (Su-22 didnt have TGP). No estimates on that, first version will be released with Su-25A avionics. I choose them because it uses identical targeting system and gunsight as Su-22. It will use modified Su-27 Flight Model. Su-22M4 will require Su-25A and Su-27 modules Mod progress (august 2025) What is done: - External 3d model with animations, minor details might be changed, - Remove Before Flight Covers, - Liveries (almost 90 from a lot of Su-22 users, around 50 Polish AF), - Pylons with assigned weapons that can be carried on them, - Cockpit 3d model with basic gauges animated, - In cockpit clickables: Engine Control, System Power, Main Power Panel, Weapon Control Panel,Avionics Power, NWS, Taxi/Takeoff lights, - Wing Sweep Control - 3 Positions: 30, 45 and 63 Degrees, - External Lighting and Cockpit warning lights., - In-cockpit sound system with custom sounds - battery, pumps, gyro, apu, launch tone, - Wallpapers, Icons and stuff - Simple damage model What needs to be done before release: - As much in cockpit clickability as possible with modelling systems even with fc3 limitations - Bounding keybind presses to in-cockpit switches and buttons (so they animate properly) - KKR-1 recon pod (cosmetic only) - Wyuga ELINT pod, and maybe a way to correclty target ARM with Su-25A avionics, or at least making it look legit. - Loadouts - Multiplayer Synchronisation Estimated Release Date: Fourth Quarter of 2025

  35. Howdy folks, I created a new weather mod to give us a little more variety in what we have currently. Hopefully you enjoy this while we wait for ED to give us a proper update to the weather system. This Weather mod includes the following features: 38 new weather presets for scattered showers, overcast/rain, stratus clouds, cumulus clouds, altostratus and altocumulus clouds. Cloud base altitude and thickness limits increased for all presets Fog visibility and thickness limits increased so you can create hazy atmosphere affects Six new density settings tweaked for scattered and isolated thunderstorms Rain and Thunderstorms precipitation now available for all cloud density settings Installation: Recommended: Use OvGME or other mod manager and install to DCS root directory. Make a backup if installing manually! To create thunderstorms: 1.) Select NOTHING from the Clouds Preset menu 2.) Configure the base altitude as desired 3.) Adjust the thickness to something between 15000-30000ft 4.) You can choose any density setting but I added six new ones. Density 11 - 16 are tweaked for thunderstorms 5.) Choose Thunderstorm or Rain from the Precptns option 6.) I recommend adding a lot of wind and turbulence as well 7.) Experiment with settings to get the look you want and enjoy! They don't change for 24 hours - Tuning and tweaks to several presets - Updated config files for compatibility with DCS 2.9.3.51704 **The cirrus cloud behavior and appearance are drastically changed in this update. There are 4 cirrus cloud textures and they usually are blended with each other, creating a variety of different looking skies. After loading a mission, if you want to change the look of the cirrus clouds simply re-load the mission by pressing SHIFT-R. Sometimes changing the date and/or time in the mission editor changes up the cirrus also. If you want to turn off cirrus clouds completely you can edit \Bazar\shaders\enlight\cirrus.fx in the MOD folder. Change line 36 in that file to: static const float cirrusThickness = 0; Make sure to disable/re-enable the mod in OVGME after making the change. 36. i once set up a dusk ww2 mission. dark. german and american half tracks met face to face on the road with their headlights on. they decided to pass each other without firing. it could easily be a bloodbath. it was a gentleman's pass.

  37. Same here Eric...Bagram was mostly just wet with the mountains of the bowl it was in having snow on the caps around it. Salerno didn't have any snow and was actually a nice winter when on that deployment.

  38. There is no aircraft with similar vibes like the ones abandoned by Razbam. Especially the Harrier feels unique. Sometimes you need to accept the grim reality.

  39. Yeah my jaw dropped when I saw this. Is this a tease to tell us that something might be moving on the AH-6 (and Blackhawk) project? Or a flex to show us what we can't have? Love the video btw. Black Hawk down vibes are very strong.

  43. The exact same waveform exists in sidelobes and the missile has no way of telling whether it's in the main or sidelobes. How well it can detect and track sidelobes should pretty much be entirely dependent on the transmitted power of the radar and its radiation pattern. Don't forget the Shrike has guidance sections for (even examples exclusively for such as the Mk 37), can and has been used against (albeit less than completely successfully) radars that rotate IRL - or in other words, radars that present a mainlobe a minority of the time and a sidelobe the majority of the time.

  44. It seems to me that the best solution to this problem would be to give people a choice, just like in the Ka-50 III module, where in the mission editor we can select either the 2022 or 2011 version. A similar approach could be applied to the MiG-29A, where one version would be in line with the official documentation provided to the Warsaw Pact countries, and in the other version, they could, for example, allow the integration of the R-27ER or even the HARM, which are weapons that were actually used on this platform but not on the unmodernized version. Especially since it doesn't seem like we'll be getting a newer Russian fighter anytime soon. I think this would leave no one unsatisfied.

  45. Added custom PTB-800 drop tank to the Su-22m4. I also added pylon extensions/adaptors as well as properly positioning all of the ordinance placement
