Well i hoped for some more news today. But it is what it is.....

It surely can't be UGRA's, as they've got a bunch of other projects on their site, but only Normandy and Syria look like DCS.

 

I'd assume it's the upcoming free map that's both WWII and modern compatible

Well as it turns out, that isnt the fix it all, its where you land on the runway. We found out now that if you land near the edge/end of the runway, you bounce, if you land farther down, you dont, but again, its all for not much as the next Open Beta should have the fix.

The latest DM update sounds amazingly detailed indeed. I can see why it may be taking a while to create. There's going to be a lot of new flying experiences with it!

Normandy

 

Cardonville region looks stunning.

Someday, moden modules will see that damage model, but before that happens I guess I will try a warbird as well. I am thinking P-47, will that include the new damage model, I am sure it will.

I would go with Normandy map, but I think better support for ED is to wait for your WW2 map and buy that instead.

Hey NineLine, are the screenshots (for the damage model) yours ?

 

They look super sharp. I guess bumping up the resolution does affect jaggies. Even the shadows are super sharp....

Just for confirmation purposes, is it correct that the new damage model is going to apply to www 2 model aircrafts only when first introduced?

Really would love to see this injected into the modern aircraft too soonest.
