Speaking of aircraft customization, it would be nice to be able to set a default livery to your aircraft, instead of having the ground crew "repaint" your plane at the start of a flight

before you launch the mission you can open it in mission editor and change your livery.

yea, but when i read wags' statement

" This includes such items as lights, bingo fuel, various cockpit switches, altimeter, etc. In this way, you can have your aircraft setup just that way YOU want it. "

i see no reason why user-selected default liveries shouldn't be a part of that, if the intention is to have your aircraft pre-configured to your liking so you dont need to mess with all that every time you fly

You can simply delete all the other liveries in the aircraft folder, then you fly with the one you want every time. I did that, works a treat. For the record, I simply moved them to another location so I can put them back if desired. Now I have two to choose from each time - Gray Wasp and Red Bull. Default is Gray Wasp.

Cheers,

Don

Hi,

That newsletter is amazing. I'm a bit wary about Razbam taking on another module, but that's a different story.

The screenshots of the new map man!

Looking amazing. Although I was very sceptical at first, I'm really cant wait to flying there. Hornet stuff is good to know, too. Got me curious about the radar gun sight, as well as the upgrades to TGP. Will it be able to slave on steerpoint as well? And will we get makpoints in the near future? That'd help a lot.

All in all great news. Really looking forward to that 2.5.6, but if it should be delayed a bit, I wouldn't bother too much. As long as it's as nice on release as it seems now.

Have a nice weekend everybody

Did you (or anyone for that matter) received the newsletter by mail today?

Will the additional airfields be limited to ALG's or will there be any TAD or R&R strips as well?

That's would make both more appealing for me. I love Warbirds, but I'm more excited about the Corsair. A bundle would make it harder to resist.

Uhm, now that you're saying it, it's not in the mail yet. Always checking the forum on friday afternoons

I'm subscribed too but no mail notification. I think it does not work on purpose. They make a new post early morning then edit it during the day so we'd get empty or not completed yet message - kind of spoiler and useless.

The radar directed gun sight is working great internally based on EEGS Level 5 sighting. It is very stable and practically a sniper weapon.

Unimpractically, the gun can't be a sniper weapon with that much of a spread, it's rather a point blank range sawed off shot gun with an ultra high rate of fire though... well, at least the targeting solution will be dead on dealwithit.png
