Dude.... delayed again? This is not serious, how can don´t realize there´s an error just hours prior to the release date, say you are goint to fix it on the next day, and delayed it again? Why do you state dates if you don´t know whats going on and have no idea when is is gonna be fixed?

Insight about what else might be broken may come unexpected and often after you have "finished" the job. "Enough" time is not a thing, sadly.

Patch delays happen. This isn't a phenomena exclusive to DCS or ED. It happens. All you can do is remember that everything is subject to change and it is better to delay than to receive hot garbage.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

Thats perfect, but why do you say it´s planned for tomorrow, when is not? Just say you are working on it cause you need more time, thats it, but don´t state any date, when you don´t know if its gonna be ready or not. Thats my complain.

you have given your feedback, but we have no plans to change how we do patch days.

When we plan a patch we like to keep you all informed, its that simple.

Omg, this is like a sect, now you can´t even show your disappointment for something you care about, without forum members calling you names, moking or joking about your age. Very healthy community indeed.

Showing disappointment is not the issue with your posts. Your behavior around it is….

Immediately switching in the victim role also is a certain pattern.

Perhaps you should reconsider how you express disappointment. Plenty of good role models in this thread…. 😘

No one is laughing at you because they understand your disappointment, they feel the same
but have taken the opportunity to pass this with derision it calms the nerves and it relaxes, do as we take it as a joke🤗

Call it like you want, but you have made yourself sound like an irritated boy that has been grounded/off his toy.

I like being informed when a patch is PLANNED. Other than that, this sh*t happens in software engineering when you are building a version, regression testing it and UAT testing it to go live, sometimes you detect important issues you just can't sort in 1 day. It is what it is... its not like it happens to ED a lot, normally everything goes smoothly.

Have you read what I said? or anyone? My complain is about stating dates, when they don´t know when is gonna be ready or not, or if it will take a day, or five. I don´t keep saying dates to my clients, when I realize a product is not gonna be on time or not, its better to say, we are working on it,or will be ready soon, and that´s alright.

And thats the end of this issue from me, this thread is not for that.

Complains like yours are the ones that will force ED to not state dates at all, since it seems so many people are unable to understand the meaning of the word "planned" or "estimated"  .. once ED realizes that providing dates is counter productive, they will for sure avoid giving them .. I know that that's the way I would act towards this kind of customers.

Once again I am very disappointed. I took extra leave yesterday, today and tomorrow and everything is being postponed again. My free days will go to zero and then I can fly just one hour a day. Very satisfying.... O_O

I admire your restraint.

I would have added "or yourself". But that is why I am not a moderator LOL

This is ED we're talking about here, you know. Nothing has changed in last 10, 15, 20 years nor it will in the next 20 😄

It's definitely annoying.  I have a couple of hours early afternoon tomorrow and had hoped to test. But I guess not. Now where did I put my pitchfork.

Lmao everyone in here having to chime in like they are going to change this guys mind. You're either a needed child or an ass kisser... Apparently you need to pick one.

"how can you react like this?" .... I don't know if you have ever heard the term "two weeks" or "in the final phases of testing" before?? I fully understand where he is coming from but I wouldn't have reacted the same way in this particular instance.

However, I'd rather them give us a date and not meet it, and push to achieve those dates even if they are late.. than have a never ending timeline of "when we are ready". This shows the community WHAT they are focused on and when they plan on having it out (give or take a few days) -- Not two weeks 😉

That being said, I'm looking forward to the update. This particular one, as well as the MC/Vulk update will be the updates the community is waiting for and the most needed. Once these core updates come out, as well as the dynamic campaign ED will receive MUCH less harassment and smaller updates and missed timelines won't be nearly a problem...

People are itching for this update because of the VR update which was so needed it isn't even funny...

I don’t understand why many people are disapointed. It’s not the first time that ED change the plan.

Agreed. And by definition: it will not be the last time. Plans are not promises. I for one see planed dates like best guesses.

I see the advantages of planed dates compared to promised ones.
