I am also one who can understand what you are going through... I have a long history of fighting death and pain. I wish you and your family well. One really big thing that touched me, was that the VA hospital had the get well wishes from many children on cards given out to vets in the hospital, as I lie there for 6 months. I am the last of my parents and brothers. Best we can do is take care of unfinished business, be calm, and my pet peeve, I hope to hell they help with the damned pain.

Thank you so very much for those kind words and prayers. I have entered Hospice at home care now. Between that and the Lord I am in good hands now.

Thank you so much! I lost my father to cancer, probably the same type, back in 1982. He was 56 years old.

VA treated him most awesomely.

I am getting a bit worried our friend has left us. Nowhere to be seen since November 6. 
he told me if he had not posted in a week , we should raise our glasses and salute him.

I don’t think I’d had any to and fro here with Don, unless he was the VR enthusiast that called me a douchebag that time 😝. 

I very much doubt it going by the different comments here about him. He sounds like he was well liked and a nice fella and the kindness reflects just reading some of the posts here.

Like too many of us, I’ve lost family to this bastard disease as well. My missus lost her big brother to it at the same time that I was having treatment for my own cancer for the second time. Not easy for anyone. So even though I may not have known Don, I’ll raise a glass to him and wish his family and friends strength and comfort and wish Don a safe journey and blue blue skies.
