@Kurdes I was a little dubious about your all vehicles cookoff request when you first asked for its inclusion, but after playing with it on - it's damn fun. FYI 3.4 will have adjustable % chance options for all vehicle cookoffs ["allunits_damage_threshold"] = 10, --Health % below which cargo/smoke attempts to trigger ["allunits_cookoff_chance"] = 0.6, --Chance of cookoff effects occurring for all vehicles. 0.6 = 60%, 1 = 100% ["allunits_smokewithcookoff"] = true, --Automatically smoke along with cookoff, or leave it to chance ["allunits_smoke_chance"] = 1, --Chance of smoke effect, 1 = 100%, 0.5 = 50% ["allunits_explode_on_smoke_only"] = true, --If its a smoke only one, add an explosion to finish the vehicle off4 points

Could you maybe consider adding Wittmundhafen and Jever AB to phase 3 please? JG71 "R" needs some love. You even have the Federal Road B210, going past both bases, already depicted until Aurich on the map and inside the phase 3 area.3 points

If suggestions are being taken, I would add that the following would be an excellent QoL improvement, plus be more realistic: User selectable option to temporarily disable catapult 1 & 2 and allow parking on Cat 2 And if it would be possible when parking to have the directors position the aircraft the correct orientation and then for an automatic function push the aircraft back, even if would be a sudden snap rather than a gradual animation, I think would be better.3 points

Hello, everyone I ran some test on CCIP (too many unexpected misses) and wanted to share the following: Basically I used 40c weather with no wind or turbulence and two 30m marked radius with a live tank in the middle as targets for FA-18C & F-16CM while I use CCIP bombing in both platforms. The Hornet CCIP is accurate enough to shack the target & hit inside of the 30m radius (marked with green smoke) While the Viper hits always fall short and well outside 30m target radius (marked with red smoke). * Looks like the F-16 CCIP inaccuracy grows with the mission temperature value (20C hits closer then 40C ). Currently even if you have the date before JHMCS or HMD's were a thing ED modules still lets you equip them. Fix it. It's really awesome when you have a cold war or even a Pre JHMCS/HMD era that users can just say "LOL I don't care."2 points

Only on the DCS core side, because, as has been told numerous times, ED doesnt have any code from any RB module. Resuming, as the dispute is not resolved, ED can only make DCS compatible with RB modules as they are now. No updates, no changes to RB modules can be made by ED. Supporting only means try to make DCS compatible with the modules. Until the dispute is resolved. Or ED offers RB to buy the code. Or the worst scenario, no solution, RB is out of DCS and one day an update for DCS will advertise... "RB modules are no longer supported in DCS version 3.xxx. Please use previous versions of DCS to fly RB modules"2 points

We are truly blessed to have Such amazing Mod developers such as CH, The Admiral, and the VWV guys bringing us such a great collection of the necessary naval ships for our scenarios. The unfortunate aspect is that the consistency of color between the 3 mod makers, and even ED for that matter is anything but. I am working on a little Project to make the US navy ships from all the mod makers a consistent "Haze Gray." The ED ships are a much too light washed out gray, almost white, so that's Where I started. Note the Oliver Hazard Perry in the Photos below. CH's Alrleigh Burke Flight 3 was a little too warm/Brown, and the Constellation class was much too blue. I hope you guys like. -Preston2 points

When you say the previous effect, do you mean the additional bigsmokes? Or the DCS vehicle fires? The overlapping I'm referring to here is the original DCS vehicle fire/smoke getting covered or clipping with the bigsmoke effect - which also varies on zoom levels, we also get the same kinda stuff with multiple bigsmokes if we don't use them smartly Thats the base dcs fire/smoke clipping with medium fire bigsmoke effect Having both bigsmoke fire 1 and smoke 5 gets us a nice flame and a nice bit of smoke, which some hiding of the smoke when we zoom out. the medium flame is just crazily big imo though, is that what you'd want in your missions still?2 points

This is interesting since it covers the P-18 radar, but also inside the radar crew cabin. It dives into the details on how the workflow in SA-3 SAM goes. Also provided is a section discussing popular myths, and which were true and which not. Author did promise to publish English edition of the book, however this did not happen yet. His interview is here: Another book was published by another crew member, but IMHO the author is controversial, since he tried to claim the kill for himself while he was late for duty, so his book is geared toward that story. Needless to say: the first author had to exclude the testimony of the second guy due to their personal dispute.2 points

The current behavior of missiles is also unrealistic because they shouldn't be missing by meters because the seeker doesn't turn on as it should. This is a work around until the missile code is working properly. Updated textures for AIM-9 series, 120 series and 88 series with cleaner versions. Adjusted the position of the AIM-200A x2 racks in the main bay to prevent clipping.2 points

First time posting in this long thread, so first want to acknowledge the great work of Tobi and EightBall. The OH-6A is a total blast to fly and the Vietnam Asset Pack is one of the best of its kind, especially (as someone mentioned above) the Radio Hooch and its sound effects. The asset pack works beautifully in my Vietnam mission map my friends and I have been flying exclusively for the past 8 months with the F-4E, couldn't have done it properly without it! So, I wanted to mention if anyone had interest (and if the authors are ok with it), we made a little silly modification to the VC Bicycle ground unit that puts a smile on our face. On our startup parking ramps, we have the VC Bicycle riding laps continuously in front of our revetments (we've even given him an affectionate name I'll leave out here!) but we were always thrown off by his sounding like a truck driving by... it just didn't go well with all the detail EightBall put into the animation of the pedaling and such. So, we did a little modification to remove the truck engine sound and added sounds of squeaking chains/pedaling, some grunting here and there, and a few other sounds. I realize how ridiculous it is but I think it adds to the amazing asset pack! All that's needed is just a new sound file I can provide, a new SDEF file, and a re-worked database file. I'll wait and see if the authors respond to this with their blessings and then if anyone wants it, I can share the files here.2 points

It seems to me that the best solution to this problem would be to give people a choice, just like in the Ka-50 III module, where in the mission editor we can select either the 2022 or 2011 version. A similar approach could be applied to the MiG-29A, where one version would be in line with the official documentation provided to the Warsaw Pact countries, and in the other version, they could, for example, allow the integration of the R-27ER or even the HARM, which are weapons that were actually used on this platform but not on the unmodernized version. Especially since it doesn't seem like we'll be getting a newer Russian fighter anytime soon. I think this would leave no one unsatisfied.2 points

Hope you all are doing well! I have not yet graduated to the F-14 or Supercarrier modules and just acquired the Kola map to investigate early 1980s cold war scenarios to accompany the Cold War Germany map, but I noticed that we seem to be missing a lot of assets to make more enjoyable scenarios. When I bought DCS back in the fall, I noticed that we had the Tu-95, Tu-142, and Tu-22M3 but did not have the Tu-16 variants (missile, bomber, tanker) or earlier bombers, like the Tu-22 Blinder. We also do not seem to have the Su-15 Flagon interceptors or Tu-126 Moss AWACS from that early 1980s era that might have provided limited-range escorts to the bombers. Through a more extended campaign, and if the Soviets were successful seizing certain Norwegian airfields, would they base those Su-15 Flagons to escort the bombers on CVBG attacks? Unfortunately, DCS does not have much to offer for naval aviation in that era: 1. We have an S-3 but no P-3, IL-38, etc., which would be good additions. I may have skipped over it, but do we have the A-6 and A-7? 2. American naval assets are limited to 1990s era cruisers and destroyers so a few from the 1980s might be good for the CVBG, along with more Norwegian, Swedish, and Finish naval assets. 3. For targets, we have a Grisha, Moskva, Kilo sub, Ropucha, and some civilian craft (Maybe the Kremlin/Brezhnev CVN we already have also?). 4. Would more docked SSBNs, SSNs, SSGNs, SSGs, and SSs be good targets at the port (or at sea for those that must remain surfaced to guide missiles)? 5. At sea with threatening SAM systems and as targets, would the CV Kiev; BCGN Kirov; CG Kara, Kresta II; CL Sverdlov; DDG Udaloy, Sovremennyy, Kashin, Kanin; FFG Krivak II; and lesser transports that might be part of the amphibious landing force target (Urga, Modified Andhizan, Dubna, Boris Chilikin, Anguema, Yuniy Partuzab, etc.) be good additions? I will have to check whether the hangar modules are "breakable," but it might be interesting to create a scenario with F-16s and F-5s defending Andoya (Norwegian P-3C airbase) to see how many survive a Soviet missile attack (not counting the P-3s flying on the Bear Island ASW barrier or elsewhere)? Clear skies and may the wind be at your back . . . except when taking off and landing!1 point

Quest Controllers work. I recently build a new 9950X3D machine, about two weeks ago, and reinstalled everything from scratch. My Quest Pro's controllers still work. IMHO, Quest controllers are far superior than mouse. Of course, it's a very personal thing. So, try it out for yourself first and don't let others, me included, sway your decision without trying it.1 point

Статистика пяти-десятилетней давности на том же стим "говорила" что 50% заносят из США, 40% покупают из РФ и Украины а остальное из Европы. Цифры приблизительны но пропорции соответствуют.1 point

My question to ED is, are they planning to add airbases to Iran and other countries south of Iraq? @NineLine would you be able to answer my question? even if you dont know yet I think everyone would appreciate some Communication. Dear Robo The Op is not ED team. I get you are not happy and you may think development times are to long, or you may not like a the way something works, and you are welcome to give your opinion and share your thoughts. We don't ban people for sharing their thoughts or expressing discontent ( you will see plenty of it if you search ), we have rules which you can find at the top of the forum and they apply the same to everyone, please take a look at our 1.10 rule, you will get the idea, its very simple. We ask that you keep it respectful that is all. If you do have a problem with moderation than you should PM me or Nineline to discuss it, discussing it in a forum thread will get you warning points. Petrovich will continue to get tweaks, the work being done helps with George and Bob AI also, and when we are ready for more updates they will be in change logs. Myself and Nineline ( we are both associate producers and community managers ) interact here on the forum, social media, and discord, we chat with many people from all over the world, we are fans of DCS like you are, so all we ask is you keep it civil and try to understand that what we do at Eagle Dynamics is complex, it takes a lot of time for development which is why we have long early access periods, without them we wouldn't be able to bring these modules to you all and develop the core of DCS. You can see the work we do in our change logs and already this year the work being done is huge. We do try to get to as many posts as we can but it is not always possible, fortunately we have a lot of help from community members and also our volunteer testers who also report issues to the team directly. We have been making DCS for well over 16 years now and we continue to develop and continue to grow as a business, this can only be done with the support of the community. thank you1 point

Hello guys. I have been flying since 3 years, almost day to day, on this dream-come true F-14. And today, practicing landing in Blanker's mission, in the F-14 A, I started a sh... hot break. I got myself a sweet 3-wire, on speed + on altitude + on center line from close. The rare kind if you know what I mean. And guess what Jester said for the 1st time? "Cobra would be proud of you". Since we are posting in M3 section of the forum, discussing M3 product, I was referring to Japanese assets (namely armour, AAA and truck) that M3 themselves have been developing for Corsair since 2022 independently from ED and their work on Japanese assets. How ED divides their teams between projects is off topic in this thread, I don't know why you brought it up.1 point

Thank you so much @Northstar98 for all the pictures. This dug up dirt around all the runways and taxiways is clearly the most important thing for me that Ugra needs to fix on that map. It just looks so wrong everytime i fly around any airport in this map.1 point

Not sure I get it. I also fly exclusively in VR, but having the pilot model in the way is more distracting than anything else to me. Not like you can move your arm or leg to see that gage or switch. I find it a bit rough not to buy a great module just for that but that’s just me. I mean come on we’re talking about the Corsair1 point

I believe that they did test nothing before the patch. Ed should rollback dtc updates. We were happy with our 3rd party dcs dtc. And now module unusable against threats. We don't have to figure these nonsense basic bugs out. I really lost interest in dcs. Haven't played since first broken patch. Uninstalled after second broken patch. Lol.1 point

No solution or workaround for Fwd switch? This is a bummer, since editing the CMS LUA got forbidden and I load my programs from DCS-DTC, now I have to do #6 manually. Big QA miss + making the game more and more anti-player.1 point
