  1. The link to the where I reported it was in the very post you were replying to lol.
  2. That may be true, but I think OPs point is that the MAV and TGP can also be looking at different objects and the BSGT still completes successfully. This is an old issue. Any BSGT error does not get recorded and its just considered to be perfectly BSGTed. As seen here: That's because the "Official" method is how it should really work. The simplified way is essentially exploiting a bug, any error between the alignment of the TGP/SPI and Mav when boresighting should be saved and replicated when trying to subsequently slave the Mav to the TGP, so they should be aligned as accurately as possible prior to boresighting to minimize error.
  3. As Crptalk mentioned, it would slave to the HMD (the JHMCS) so you can just look at the spot where the Sam fired from and create a mark point from that. We don't have any of the AG JHMCS functionality yet, so it doesn't work that way currently. But it'll be very sweet when it does!
  4. Does that work already or is that a “how it will work when it’s implemented.” Statement?
  5. A big non-manoeuvring target that has lots of RCS.
  6. I'm not sure how you'd have your head 2 feet below the canopy in an F-16, You'd need to take the seat out and be sat on the floor of the cockpit. But I believe there is a procedure using the HUD test symbology where you're meant to position the seat so you can see the correct amount of HUD, although clearly, not everybody uses it. Its discussed a bit more here: https://www.f-16.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9839 D
  7. You flying in 2D? I have no need to do this in VR, I think the 2D cockpit viewpoint might be a little further back then IRL which exacerbates this issue.
  8. @pappavis Cool, glad to hear you got it sorted out
  9. Sounds like your dogfight switch is stuck in Missile Override. Might want to check your bindings or physical control config.
  10. Ontop of what Frederf has mentioned, the Spider also physically impedes the throttle from being able to get into afterburner. Which was one of the first things I noticed when I got into a real F-16 for the first time. I'm not sure if its totally by design, or just a happy coincidence, but the top of the Range/Uncage knob will strike the spider if you try and go into AB.
  11. Interesting... That would make a cool "Special Options" checkbox if it would be something appropriate for the jet in the sim. Was it definitely used by USAF? Certainly make things easier on the eyes for us VR guys.
  12. You have to also consider that he's trying to translate military lingo into something easier to understand for the lay person. Sorry to disappoint but the F-16 doesn’t have this functionality.
  13. Finally somebody working within the bounds of actual reality.
  14. The oxygen regulator panels are there in the pics. if you’re talking about the lack of the liquid oxygen gauge that’s because the F-15E was upgraded with OBOGS and the gauge is removed. Afaik Anyway if you wish to discus the is further make a new post in the forum rather then in here.
  15. I expect he meant the HSD. This really isn’t a thing in the F-16.
  16. I think you might be misunderstanding what BSGT means.
  17. The only way I know of having the HSI on a MFD would be in a jet that has been upgraded with the CDU (Center Display Unit) in which case the display literally replaces the physical HSI. Perhaps that's what the pilot was referring to? N Note: Pic is just representative of CDU, aircraft is an upgraded F-16AM.
  18. Well no, it doesn't work exactly like reality because we don't have many things like DTC which we load mission info from once starting the jet. These are some of the workarounds that are necessary with an EA product as features aren't integrated yet.
  19. This has been reported before and was marked as correct. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want bullseye info on the HUD but <shrug> Search function is useful to see if things have been reported before.
  20. If your LGBs are set to their default laser code as well then yes it will work, if you want to change it to another laser code in the DED then I believe you need to have the TGP powered on and working before it will allow you to input the new code. Don’t know how realistic this is, but I’ve never had an issue changing to a new code.
  21. You comments piqued my interest. Just did a few high speed runs and compared it to the real docs. NTTR - Standard day - 15C - 29.92 - Full Afterburner acceleration, fuel usage measured in lb per hr. 40k ft Mach - DCS - IRL 1.0 - 19K - 20k 1.2 - 25k - 26k 1.4 - 33k - 32k 1.6 - 37k - 37k 1.8 - 40k - 40k 2.0 - 42k - 40k 20k ft 1.0 - 50k - 49k 1.2 - 60k - 58k 1.4 - 66k - 68k 1.6 - 72k - 74k 1.8 - 76k - 74k This was on latest Open Beta and seems pretty accurate to me to be honest.
  22. Ooof, You're Right. What a moron I am lol. Must remember not to report bugs when I'm tired hehe.
  23. Nooooo please don't disappear, having people with real F-16 experience is valuable around here! Just remember that they made 4500+ of them over a 40+ year period and some things have changed quite a lot over that time.
  24. I can relate, but Wags did mention fixing this in the a F-16 roadmap post not long ago calling it "Wing Fuel Tank Pylon Jettison Correction".
  25. Hey All, I've been practicing some bad weather/night ILS approaches in the F-16 at various places. I decided to try Creech AFB and I noticed something weird with the ILS flight director dot for the runway 08 ILS. If I follow the director dot I end up well off the right hand side of the ILS Localiser, with the needles giving me a "fly left" indication. If I follow the needles they line up correctly with the Localiser and during the whole ILS approach the director dot is telling me to fly right. I tried an ILS at Tonopah Test Range Airport and the director was behaving correctly. So unsure if its an aircraft issue or scenery issue. I can't check this with any other aircraft as no other aircraft in sim has a ILS director dot as far as I know? Flown on latest Open Beta no F-16 or NTTR related Mods. Track included for both following the needles and following the director. Cheers D F-16 Creech ILS Follow Director.trk F-16 Creech ILS Follow Needles.trk F-16 ILS issue.miz
