  1. I can relate, but Wags did mention fixing this in the a F-16 roadmap post not long ago calling it "Wing Fuel Tank Pylon Jettison Correction".
  2. Hey All, I've been practicing some bad weather/night ILS approaches in the F-16 at various places. I decided to try Creech AFB and I noticed something weird with the ILS flight director dot for the runway 08 ILS. If I follow the director dot I end up well off the right hand side of the ILS Localiser, with the needles giving me a "fly left" indication. If I follow the needles they line up correctly with the Localiser and during the whole ILS approach the director dot is telling me to fly right. I tried an ILS at Tonopah Test Range Airport and the director was behaving correctly. So unsure if its an aircraft issue or scenery issue. I can't check this with any other aircraft as no other aircraft in sim has a ILS director dot as far as I know? Flown on latest Open Beta no F-16 or NTTR related Mods. Track included for both following the needles and following the director. Cheers D F-16 Creech ILS Follow Director.trk F-16 Creech ILS Follow Needles.trk F-16 ILS issue.miz
  3. Just to clarify, you’re not talking about engine fuel flow rate are you? Just the transfer rate out of the drop tanks into internal fuel correct?
  4. Get PointCTRL. Solves all your problems, and honestly I can’t fly without it. https://pointctrl.com Link to a forum thread about it in my signature.
  5. Just to clarify, changing the laser code in the kneeboard on the ground doesn’t change the laser code of the bombs you’re carrying? Changing the laser code in the DED does?
  6. Your lights are still turned on. You need to rotate the middle rotary at the bottom of the panel from NORM (3 o clock) to OFF (9 o clock).
  7. Guys, can we limit discussion in this thread, a lot of people follow this thread because they are waiting for development updates to be posted. If you want to start a discussion then start a new topic in the forum and then we aren't pinging everybody every time there is a reply. And yes, I know I'm not helping posting this lol.
  8. True. But I’f you load 2 bags with only a few % of internal fuel the bags will get emptied pretty quickly into the internal tanks.
  9. Just as a test rename your entire DCS Saved games folder (add BACKUP to the name or something). DCS will populate a new one when you launch it. Do a quick test to see if that solves your problem. If it does then you can copy your bindings across to the new folder. But run the test first and see if it makes any difference. If that doesn't solve your problem then you can delete the new Saved Games folder and revert the name back on your old one and you'll get all your settings etc back. Hope that helps.
  10. Try deleting FXO and Metashaders from your DCS saved games folder. If that doesn't work try uninstalling and reinstalling the F-16 via the module manager.
  11. It would be good to see (or should I say hear) this implemented.
  12. I had an issue like this online a few days ago. But I had edited the waypoint beforehand and cycling to a previous waypoint and back again seemed to fix the issue?
  13. Just FYI - Since you mention using the rudder - I presume you are trying to decrab the viper on landing. Standard operating procedure is to NOT decrab the aircraft to align with the runway. You land crabbed. Feels weird, but actually works pretty well.
  14. Can we get this reported? Makes the Viper a chore to fly in crosswind conditions without having to constantly trim or use AP.
  15. Yeah, Here is the thread I made about it before, when bore sighting was first implemented in DCS.
  16. I'm pretty sure I did a track on this before somewhere? let me see if I can dig the post out.
  17. Now that the F-16 is getting some love can we PLEASE get this sorted out. This is still present in DCS Open Beta 2.7.6.12852. - Some 2 years after it was first reported. This is one of the basic functions of one of the main instruments of the aircraft (HUD), This should be a HIGH priority imho. Another issue that needs to be noted is that when the FPM is Drift corrected the pitch ladder should also continue to stay aligned with the FPM, currently what happens is the pitch ladder seems to rotate around the gun cross, this is incorrect. Do you want me to create a separate bug report for this? Attached are a mission and two tracks showing this issue. Mission is an F-16 in a 65kn crosswind at 35k ft, this is a perfectly normal wind speed for that altitude, Indeed I have personally seen over 150 knots at altitude IRL. Test 1: is simply me flying the aircraft directly cross wind and essentially just waggling the wings left and right and noting how the uncaged FPM stays roughly on the horizon while the caged one shoots up and down depending on the bank angle. Test 2: is me setting the aircraft into relatively steep bank and then setting the autopilot in ALT HOLD mode, As such the aircraft flies a perfectly flat 360, During that 360 I flick the FPM Drift Compensate switch on and off. Noting the position of the FPM in both cases. Hope we can get some movement on this. It would be nice to see the basics fixed before more new features get added imho. 18. Hey all. Been a while since I've been around (thanks Covid) but now that the F-16 is getting some more love I've been back here doing some flying. I've found that the F-16 has a tendency to roll in the opposite direction to any crosswind it experiences. While its quite gradual and slow, this should absolutely not be happening as an aircraft flying in a constant wind does not experience any trim changes as seen here. I tested this by making a mission (attached) with a maximum speed wind coming from the south, I spawned in an empty F16 at 35k ft pointing east. After the initial jolt of the spawn I let the aircraft stabilize and trim itself out, then I let go of the controls and noticed a slow bank to the left. After this I turned the aircraft left to due north and repeated the test, on releasing the stick I noted that the aircraft did not roll in any direction. After a few seconds of steady flight to the north requiring no corrections I continued the left turn to a heading of 270, where I noted a gentle roll to the right, opposite of what was seen earlier. Conclusion: Aircraft banks due to influence of steady state wind - this should not happen. Tested on a fresh install of DCS Open Beta 2.7.6.12852. Mission and track attached. Youtube video of test embedded below. Cheers, Hope this helps. D F-16 Crosswind Roll issue.trk F-16 Crosswind Roll.miz

    Pre-Order?

They haven't been working on the aircraft systems throughout that period, all of the WIP pictures have been of artwork. Work is now starting to happen on coding aircraft systems. That's the difference. RB have said that the F-15E is one of the next modules that is going to get full-time attention from them. I would also expect it some time next year.
  20. I believe they would, ED are managing all weapons now I believe so I don't think there is such a thing as a "HB Sparrow" any more. Could well be wrong though.
  21. Huh, Works fine for me. The A-10 cockpit feels massive, which it should do.

    Pre-Order?

Pre-Orders for DCS do not usually stretch beyond 6 months, and in fact the Harrier pre-order was only from the end of October to the 1st of Dec ( just over a month) so its unlikely you will see the pre-order for a while yet.
  23. It's most likely going to be around the same age as the F-16 and F-18 we already have in sim, and you shouldn't need to cockpit hop as the pilot can do pretty much everything the guy in the back can do from his seat in the front. It's not like the Tomcat where tasks are split entirely between the two people, It should be possible to get weapons on target just from the front seat, you'll probably be a bit less efficient then with a WSO helping but its doable.
  24. The correct IPD relates to YOUR specific eyes, how far apart they are, how they work with your VR goggles, how they lenses in your VR goggles work and if they are fixed or movable. So many variables. Your IPD settings are individual to you. You basically adjust the ingame IPD setting till you get something that "feels" right. Putting the pilot body on can be useful for getting it feeling about right. For reference the DDI/MPCDs in the Hornet at 5x5 inch.
  25. Hey All, Anybody else found the HSD in the front cockpit pretty dim since 2.7 came out? It seems worse when its set as TID repeater. BTW I fly in VR Just me? Cheers D
