danvac
@BIGNEWY... there is undocumented change in Mi-8. Added two new options in Special tab. COLLECTIVE THRESHOLD... and COLLECTIVE BRAKE MODE. Also it seems it does not work as expected, at least in Hydro lock mode.

key_stroked
What happened to the hotfix for the cockpit lighting? The patch status is now showing June 10th for the next update. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=273255 We were supposed to get it Friday, but now we're not getting it? HUDs and other essential cockpit lights are completely unreadable. Why are we being made to wait until Wednesday?

Woolfe
I had issues with diskspace when i tried to download the Alpha update that i thought i fixed by moving ophone back up files to another partition. When i tried to run DCS (non updated) i got 00108.702 ERROR: Can't run C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin/DCS.exe: (2) The system cannot find the file specified. So during the update when i ran out of disk space the dcs.exe file disappeared somewhere. Now doing repair and it is downloading 37,562 Mbytes. This is the third time i have gone through this operation. Any one have any ideas. I really just want DCS 2.5 back, looks like program is getting too big now unless you have a dedicated computer.autoupdate_templog.txt Edited June 8, 2020 by Woolfe Adding log file
Nealius
Would have been nice if they found those issues before trying to rush the P-47 out the door....if they had delayed the P-47 release until 10JUN, OB might not have been in the mess that it is now. Taz1004
While everyone's unhappy about the lighting and shadowing etc, I think this is good sign because it seems like ED is making core changes and overhauling their graphic engine. Of course, they will have to adjust them and fix the textures for individual modules probably but I think it's good direction. Crowman
Hi All. I'm glad I found this post as I've been trying to work out whats going on with the Beta, after getting the P-47 and Channel and playing around for a while, I then discovered the other issues of which ther seem to be many, not just the lighting issues mentioned, animation on other modules, its just the Beta luckily and I also am able to use the the stable version which is still mostly ok, I have just noticed that out of the 17 update servers, all but 3 are offline, so I would say something has been found and is hopefully being fixed, so I would say dont do any fresh installs of SIM as servers may not cope, do we know if anyone has heard anything from any of the Moderators regarding the Beta issues. Current verison is 2.5.6. 6GB of free space is really not enough - you will face problems updating anything over a few GBs. imacken
I don't mean any disrespect to anyone, but with Samsung 870 500gb SSDs now less than the price of a DCS module, I don't understand why people keep battling with lack of space.
