Mate I can assure you that in real life you could behave to F-1 so bad and aggressive without any impact in engine operation. In DCS you cross the exhaust turbulence of an aircraft that is half a mile away and you get a flame out present. They have to fix this. In real life could happen several times without any issue.7 points

Based on the description I was able to draw this up. Check my work but it seems that the two maps will overlap. Maybe I am too far north? There was no mention of Jerusalem being included, however that could be in a low detail area or just not modeled like so many other maps, Bahrain in the Persian Gulf map for example. The image with Kola shows whats planned. Was there supposed to be an Iraq map? I know Afghanistan is supposed to come out but I don't know the boundary. Iraq would possibly intersect 2 maps. I wonder if there will ever be a way to seamlessly load one map to another in one game.6 points

I do not plan on updating these specific items in 2022. Right now, my focus is on completing the first iteration of the AH-64 guide, then the Mirage F1, then adding recently implemented features for the Mi-24, F-16, and Mosquito... and do a bit of maintenance on the F-5 guide. I do not plan on updating the Hornet guide for a bit. I would still need to add stuff like ACLS and TALDs... which are very low on my priority list at the moment.6 points

I feel compelled to advocate for this guy. He could have taken advantage of the exploit without anybody being the wiser, but he posted about it publicly in a way that forced urgent attention and ultimately rectified the problem. You should be thanking him for his disclosure instead of vindictively punishing a member of your community that obviously cared enough to bring it to your attention. Just because you were ignorant of the loophole does not mean you can lay the blame on someone else -- would you have gotten mad if he advocated that players should turn on aircraft labels if you forgot to disable them in the mission editor options? Everybody playing on the server owes him their gratitude. Please reconsider the ban, as it sends the message that a player would be better off staying silent.5 points

It would be a nice change from all the male backseaters/co-pilots and the F-15E with relatively many female WSOs IRL would be a good choice for that4 points

The main difference is the ISp. - Plastargol + Al additive: ISp(vac) ~205s - Isolane + Al additive: ISp(vac) ~259s As fast and dirty thumb rule this can mean a +26.3% dV(vac) increment. If you want to know more details, this was a direct implementation from the Diamant launchers R&D4 points

Tbf any sort of cheating spoils the fun for others... if the server is set up in a certain way and individuals bypass that thats considered cheating and should result in a permanent ban. If things are too tough for you look for a more easy server that suits your gaming style.4 points

Don't bee misleaded by names. The "R 530K" is apparently simply an export version of the "R 530" which is the current available missile coming with the Mirage F1 in DCS, so to be simple "R 530K" and "R 530" are the same. I don't think there is such thing as an "R 530 F", except as a in-between prototype or early developpement or export name. What exists is Super 530, which was, I think, later specified as Super 530 F to differentiate it from the Super 530 D that comes with the Mirage 2000. The Super 530 is indeed a totally different missile than the R 530... Anyway the Mirage F1 indeed can fire the Super 530 F (not the Super 530 D), but it isn't available yet in DCS.4 points

It looks like in the real world female F-15E pilots are also very popular.3 points

well he certainly speaks on behalf of me! the thing is if you had done this in a grown up manor and notified the team by DM and actually done it for the good of the server than people would of been grateful. However you chose to try and accuse other people of the community of using this blatant cheat to justify using it yourself. Once the trust has gone with somebody then there is only one logical solution and that is a ban.3 points

Panthir was an actual F1 pilot, if his 1500 hours of experience say that it shouldn't flame out, then it shouldn't. Unless you have experience flying the F1?3 points

Hi, I also think that the wake turbulence is excessive on the F1. Even a formation takeoff caused my engine to stall during takeoff roll. Or just crossing behind a preceding F1's flight path. Not very realistic. Maybe some real world F1 pilot can comment on this. Please developers, do address this before the next update. Thank you!3 points

There are no plans now, nor in the immediate future, nor in the 88 MPH Future to charge for this application. If anything were to happen to myself, my next of kin have instructions to package the source material and get it to someone to continue development.3 points

These references were pulled from at least three different sources and were spread over a two year period. This is for a single bug that has been tracked by HB since 2020. I appreciate they're probably too busy to maintain an updated list, but giving the community a peek at what HB have and don't have tracked could save an awful lot of redundant posts and may be a more efficient way of moving forward. If no one else thinks so then fair enough, we'll just carry on as we were.3 points

Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Israel all have one thing in common: They all had Mirages wearing their insignia. Israel: - Mirage IIIBJ (essentially a IIIB) - Mirage IIICJ (essentially a IIIC, late CJs had theirradar removed an retrofit with the Atar 9C) - Nesher (essentially a Mirage 5F with some differences) - Nesher T (essentially a MirageIIIBE) - Kfir Jordan: - Mirage F1BJ (essentially an F1B/ F1BE) - Mirage F1CJ (essentially an F1C/ F1CE) - Mirage F1EJ (close to the EQ5, better than the EE) Libya:* - Mirage 5DD (essentially a Mirage IIIBE) - Mirage 5DE (essentially a Mirage IIIE) - Mirage 5D (Mirage IIIE / Mirage 5F hybrid) - Mirage 5DR (essentially a Mirage IIIRD) Egypt:** - Mirage 5SDD (essentially a Mirage IIIBE) - Mirage 5SDE (essentiall a Mirage IIIE) - Mirage 5SDR (essentially a Mirage IIIR) - Mirage 5E2 (Mirage IIIE / Mirage 5F hybrid) - Mirage 2000EM (a little less sophisticated than the 2000C RDI) "Essentially a Mirage xyz" is just a simplification - it means the airfrme is based on this standard Mirage III/5 airframe. The libyan and egyptian 5DE and 5SDE were "fives" for political reasons. Their "proper fives" (5D and 5E2) had Aida radards, as opposed to the 5F. We need more (Delta) Mirages: - Mirgae IIIB - Mirage IIIC - Mirage IIIBE - Mirage IIIE - Mirage IIIR/IIIDR - Mirage 5F The IIIC, IIIE, IIIBE and 5F should be the minimum to have a family reaching across the world. The IIIBE would be a "nice to have", but two-seters are cool! Some Mirage users had their aircraft differ significantly from those standards, but you'll have to start somewhere. At the same time, let's not forget we're similarily in need of at least the following MiG-21s: - MiG-21F-13 (1st gen) - MiG-21FL or PFM (2nd gen) - MiG-21MF (3rd gen) - MiG-21U / US / UM (any of those 1 thru 3 gen trainers) We'd also need some MiG-17 and additional MiG-19 iterations to flesh outthe maps we already have and those that are coming. ===== *Libya sent Mirages to Egypt during the YKW. IDF and libyan Mirages clashed during this conflict and libyan Mirages were shot down. When Libya and Egypt later clashedintheir border war, a libyan Mirage supposedly shot down an egyptian MiG-21. **Egypt first bought their Mirages via Saudi Arabia, having them carry saudi insignia during their delivery flights, and later procured them directly. A couple of egyptian 5SDE haven been used in the Iran-Iraq war (on the iraqi side) and supposedly one has been shot down by an IRIAF F-4. The surviving aircraft have been modded (twice) and have gotten a fairly high tech cockpit (comparable to the ROSE upgrades in Pakistan) during the early 2000s.3 points

We're looking into this, as soon as possible! Our WWII branch is @Night Owl and @Skewgear's juristiction, however due to Tacview we'll have to change some things behind the scene on 4YA (which is where we are all either staff/moderators/administrators) for, which might take a little longer. But steps are imidiately being taken in order to patch the vulnerability to cheating via the Object Export route. Thank you for letting us know, and we hope to resolve this ASAP. We can promise you that - Sandwich, on behalf of 4YA and 4YA-WWII3 points
-
Hello @-Slayer- Please be aware that cheating will not be tolerated on our server and that you will very likely soon find yourself with a very long ban. If you need cheats to win your fights, I suggest that you stick to single player instead, where your actions don't impact the gaming experience of other players. If you want to talk directly with the server Admins about this issue, please jump onto our discord and open a support ticket.3 points

I'm an administrator for 4YA and i have no interest in flying WWII, and therefore no use for software that tells me exactly where all is at all times as i could just use the mission editor for this already. My concern lays with the people, and programs- just dumped on public forums with a clear explenation on how it's designed to maliciously disrupt the playstyle of the mission as it was designed. If your intention is to bring awareness to the abillities of the object export function in DCS then you could also just say that without actively spreading cheats around a community already plagued enough by these types of exploits. If you then still think that doing that is the right thing to do, then what do you expect? If you're against cheating yourself, then why do you encourage people to use it?? That would be like handing a robber a gun so they could rob more banks until someone spends more money and more time on protecting a bank until you're satisfied. Which, in your own words - sets a double standard.3 points

Please, pretty pretty please, do NOT download and use that program that post was reeking of malicious intent!3 points

As someone who basically got into computers in the late 80's to play flight sims I am so glad that ED has almost single handedly kept the genre going when it looked like it was about to die out in the 2000's. They and their partners have consistantly delivered ground breaking sims that were unimaginable when i started with this hobby. Agree 100% about how VR, with the depth perception and being able to move your head (e.g. look up or over your shoulder) without losing spatial awareness, puts you right there in the cockpit. Another thing that was just a pipe-dream not too many years ago. Even with 'just' a 2080 (it is the weak link in my PC) and a Reverb G2 I couldn't imagine going back to this or any other DCS module on a flat screen and a TrackIR. I can easily tolerate lower resolution/effects in VR compared to a monitor to keep the frame rate up for 'combat' missions and have created custom missions for all my modules where my aircraft is the only other thing in the sky so I can crank up the detail and do nothing other than happily fly from A to B3 points

I have zero issues with deserts and welcome more. I don't think DCS's map list could even be considered complete without an Iraq map that also features Iran and Saudia Arabia. It's not even like all deserts are the same, so I don't get why this complaint comes up.3 points

No, ok I wil try on simple English: - R.530K: Only used Plastargol (SNPE Antoinette) - R.530F: Used old engines at first and later used Isolane (SNPE Madeleine) - Super 530F: Only used Butalane CTPB composite (SNPE Angèle) This thread is becoming a bit rude and seems that there are an "official line" to follow about this regardless of others say or simply logic. Ok, I will take your word and there is no point to continue. So long, and thanks for all the fish.3 points

The light bloom is sadly a DCS thing they added a few months after the Tomcat. They need to find someone to rebuild the lighting system who doesn’t have an astigmatism, or glaucoma.3 points

With the Sinai map coming out it looks like we'll have two adjacent maps. (Syria and the Sinai) if this is the case it would be awesome to have give DCS some way to merge the map while flying or in the mission editor. I know it will be huge for DCS but it would be a good feature2 points

Respectfully, I disagree, and honestly don't see it as much different -- this is the server actively broadcasting entity position data in the clear for anyone to see, and despite not having a GUI built into the base game to view it for those without knowledge, it's there all the same for viewing in third party tools that have legit uses. Turn off the export and be done with it, and everybody goes about their day. The server is ultimately all the better for the disclosure.2 points

Please read the forum rules, no multiplayer arguing on the forum. I understand what you are trying to do, and I have already told you it is up to the server admin what they export and what they do not. If you are not happy with the server fly somewhere else. last warning from me2 points

It's a reasonable estimation. Deka is planning to release the JF Chinese manual this month. Although they haven't mentioned if the English version would be released at same time (obviously their original manual would be written directly in Chinese first and need translation), it could be recognized as a sign that most work is completed on JF and only fixes left in near future. Maybe they are now closer to deciding their next module, no matter what it would be. (Still I don't expect it would be a J-10, but nobody knows what after that.)2 points

I think things gets lost in translation, because it's clear to me that you're using a translator for reading and typing. Might be different over here, but if you notice that your neighbours have forgotten to close their door, you notify them in private. You don't post it on their open Facebook wall. You see the difference? Cheers!2 points

It would be great if George had two options - showing highest risk targets (as at present) or closest. In some servers with 20 items in the list, this would be a huge bonus! At present you have to stay exposed too long and watch the cross jump around before you realise there's a T90 at 4km who just killed you while you were looking at the Osa miles off.2 points
