Don't count on older version being more available, even with Russian military they do not allow the development of even older platforms. I have always found Deka to strive to show of the Chinese air force the best they could, this is not a short cut on their part of lack of effort, I believe they would do whatever they could be allowed to do.

F is still in service, so definitely no go :(. We also considered and checked BH/DH or even D (which was just a domestic upgrade following 8PP, domestic INS and radar or russian zhuk-8-II radar) still no go unfortunately :((( Per 82 program office, 2 finished upgrade and many test (i.e. EMC, INS (around Edwards AF) etc, but no weapon), along with 4 extra avionics upgrade pack (radar, etc) were sent back to China later. It's first time for China to learn how to design a modern fighter and all following variants and others were benefitted from this (in the same time , engineers from Chendu were also in Grumman's site but neighboring office for super-7 ;)), so 82 program office had all info well doced and summarized. Thus no worry for that. We are also preparing a detailed intro to 8PP and Q&A, as well as loadout table, and will post it once ready.

This is simply not true. Even with missiles involved, being the first one to point the nose on the enemy will depend on your state. In a one-circle fight it will be the fighter with the smaller radius of turn and in a two-circle fight it will be the fighter with a higher turn rate. That's why one-cirlce (nose to nose) fight is called "radius" fight and two-circle (nose to tail) is called "rate" fight. Reason for this is simple: geometry. From the animation, it's clear who gets the first shot.

YMMV but for me (running a 4090), the only noticeable improvement I saw was that annoying loading flickering you get with SteamVR was gone. I saw next to no FPS increase at all. Using OXR with med-to-low tier hardware may work wonders but on high end gear, I think it does very little if anything. I also find the lack of ‘fpsVR’ equivalent app a bit frustrating when trying to fine-tune settings in OXR

New screens looks great and details are awesome. If only colours would be different. Thing is, when i see screen from a normandy 2.0 map i can tell in a nanosecond it's from a game and not real pic. Thats not a case with fs2020 for example. And all that simply because cartoonish greens used on normandy map. I'm going to buy it and enjoy it a lot, but every time when i switch from FS to DCS normandy colors will hurt a bit...

This. It would've been preferable to get a J-8 with domestic avionics, but we play with the hand we're dealt, not the hand we want. If you'd rather them do something that saw frontline service and such, that could mean H-5s or early marks of Q-5. I have no problem with that, I'd rock both of those, but that's basically what it'd mean. At the end of the day, a lot of people forget these are pieces of national defense and the governments responsible are going to be cagey about a lot of things. This is something has to be contended with, especially by a company selling to an international audience.

Home station normal ops is full tanks. In hot locations we have summer loads and deployed it’s all depended on the external muns we’re carrying.

The important thing is to continue supporting and improving the map after launch. Add landmarks, tourist attractions, places with a helipad, etc. This will make it become a big map. It is impressive how the map of Syria has tourist spots and helipads. I'm looking forward to seeing this on the Sinai map. I intend to give a vote of confidence and buy in the pre-sale.

Thats actually how the real Eurofighter is. Its a frankjet as well. Each nation got their Eurofighter in the configuration they want and they can upgrade and or downgrade many parts of it as much as they want. Its extreme modular platform.

When you're on a mission, every second word is a swear word of the worst kind. XD 3)At the moment DCS has little priority in my life so I'm not working on the campaign right now..... But it also runs quite well, as far as I can tell. 4)Once the Longbow Radar is out, I plan a campaign on the Syria map.

Wow, that’s a lot of comments in a short amount of time. Deka sneezes and everybody jumps to attention, that’s a tribute to its fan base for sure. I was also originally disappointed for not getting an all Chinese plane. But Thanks to Nineline and UBoats for informing this is the only way to make another Chinese plane happen. Thanks to Jun for sharing the PP cockpit pic. There’s still enough retro aspects of it that it still feels red, so I am good. I hope “Step By step” from UBoats means when it is possible, the F will be flyable. Thanks Deka for sticking to the plan and giving us Chinese, and something original, and long overdue. And Thanks for taking the time to deliver good products out of the box. Just like the 90s, and none of that agile, piece meal business. I just hope the pilot model is Chinese too. Its radar would be not unlike what the Mirage 2000 currently has, although I don't know if it had Mirage-style TWS. It could definitely lock on, including cueing Sidewinders with the radar. Also, the Sidewinder was not the only AA weapon - it still had the gun, which, with the radar and a quite advanced for its time HUD (including EEGS), was a very effective and accurate weapon. The radar was representative of a typical system of the time, but the small antenna meant it didn't have much range against fighter-sized targets.

The Eurofighter we'll be getting, while not a low production run, will be a bit of a Chimera as well. Apparently, the EF Fleet has little commonality.

You do realize that you can Simulate an Plane that never flew. A Simulation is Fictional. It is Simulating something that did or could happen. So, what's your point now?
