  1. It's a normal behaviour of Jester starting doing his cockpit preparation as we engage the arm seat mechanism
  2. Hi, take a look at the HB F14 manual: http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/index.html see if you miss something in the flow lines/Procedures http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/procedures.html After Engines are up, and all Pilot's flow lines are done, try to see if in jester menu you do have the INS alignment options. then choose at least "min weapon launch". After this alignment you should hear Jester "Ready to taxi".
  3. Hi, no probl, misread your custom skin trouble, I would suggest to install them in Saved Games Folder instead of Coremods, following this path and folder structure creating folders if they do not exist accordingly: C:\Users\[YOUR PC NAME]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\FA-18C_hornet\Canada 410thSqn Tiger Meet 2003
  4. Ok, we'll wait for a DCS patch to fix it, then. At night the "effect" is quite too much, is it an only VR bug or also 2D is like this? Besides that, the interior night flight deck lighting is amazing.
  5. Thanks a lot to everybody. The visual effect I'm reporting is about those visible flames from exhaust all the time in flight in every engine regime, a bit strange. So it is more a DCS 2.7 sort of bug on WW2 warbirds (already reported?) than specific to this module, not its normal behaviour (I never had the chance to fly in a real one). thanks
  6. Hi, is this the normal engine behavior? Or me just forgetting something. Seems like a continuous backfire effect from engines exhaust. (VR) thanks
  7. Thanks a lot Sydy, useful kneeboard checklist as always!
  8. Hi, take a look at this docs if you did not already. I'll try to give you some info about the phrase Proceed to eighty nine alpha: Proceed to the waypoint called 89A You'll have 3 waypoints on your flight plan, 89A - 89B - 89C 89A is your Area of Operation/Killbox (a defined area where you'll be available "on call" and you give CAS in case of need by ground forces fighting in that area) you'll be on radio contact first with the Terminal Area Controller (Bowstring) and then if needed with the soldier(JTAC) on the ground. block ten to thirteen Your assigned/reserved altitude in that killbox (89A) is from 10000 feet to 13000 feet Keypads eight and nine hot all altitudes Don't remember this one. maybe deconflicting information Switch Bowstring on Indigo five Switch on radio channel corresponding to the "color code" indigo 5 (you have all this infos on the mission specific kneeboard page) for safety reason they define color codes to radio frequency so they do not broadcast them in plain. This is the agency(Terminal Area Controller) that will assign to you a mission if needed in that killbox/Area (89A) and handoff you to a JTAC soldier on the ground giving you his callsign and frequency by another color code. cheers
  9. I do not have reference about specific landing limitations with stores but: Landings Limitations: Field 39.000 Lbs Flared 33.000 Lbs Practice/Touch'n'Go/Barricade Carrier 33.000 Lbs Unrestricted 34.000 Lbs with some restrictions
  10. Si, speravo riguardasse solo il Su27 che cadeva a pezzi, ma il "bug" riguarda anche l'F18...
  11. That was one of the reasons I ended up making my own Weapons QRH Kneeboard... Try to see if can be useful also for you, It's made up by several page, but one can choose the specific armament page is working on in training sessions. The Boxed HARM stuff is covered, too. You'll find the forum/user files links in my signature if needed. cheers
  12. OK, I've got your point, I finished this nice campaign from quite some time now, I did not pay attention to Prince stuff as the "Guard Freq monitor" is a sort of compulsory behavior for all flying A/C when airborn and the Hornet has this nice feature that you can enable guard monitoring without change the two active Radio settings. So as a workflow I'm always enabling it as a normal radio setting after start. Did not need Prince to remind that.
  13. Hi, try to see if you enabled the guard monitoring.
  14. Hi, starting my journey on the DCS World and the F18 some time ago, I found very useful to have a sort of quick reference kneeboard page available on Ipad or in game, and then started my project. As per request I decided to share it, since then I'm trying to keep it update. Try to see if it can help. cheers
