European Based 16th Air Expeditionary Wing Recruits F-16 Pilots Who We Are? 16th Air Expeditionary Wing is a small, but crucial part of CJTF-13 Batallion (EU Milsim Battalion). Battalion is aiming for the most realistic and immersive virtual experience in TAW DCS, featuring Fighter Jet, helicopter and Control Squadrons. We follow real life procedures as closely as possible, we use strict radio communications and train HARD to get to this high level of virtual flying! This type of flight simming is not for everyone, because it requires a certain type of mindset, fierce dedication and motivation to do it right. If you are looking for relatively short, action packed missions which can be played without much in-depth planning and preparation, then the CJTF-13 is NOT the right place for you. 16th Air Expeditionary Wing divides in two F-16 squadrons: RNLAF 313 “SCHERPGETAND” The RNLAF 313 Squadron is one of two dedicated F-16C squadrons within the Combined Joint Task Force-13 (CJTF-13). Although it is a multi-role squadron, the primary focus of the 313 is on air-to-ground operations. The squadron specializes in various air-to-ground tasks and tactics, including Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses (DEAD), strike missions, air interdiction (AI), close air support (CAS), and strike coordination and reconnaissance (SCAR). The 313 Squadron is adept at striking a variety of targets in different threat environments. PolAF 6 Fighter Squadron The 6th Fighter Squadron (6th FS) is a dedicated F-16 squadron within the Combined Joint Task Force-13 (CJTF-13). The squadron primarily focuses on Force Protection and Air-to-Air taskings. Specializing in tasks such as Combat Air Patrol (CAP) and Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD), the 6th FS is proficient in defending airspace and neutralizing aerial threats. The squadron's expertise ensures it can effectively safeguard friendly forces and achieve air superiority in various operational environments. Our Schedule The CJTF-13 hold its weekly events on Sundays @ 1945 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1745Z, Winter Time 1845Z) and Thursdays @ 2030 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1830Z, Winter Time 1930Z) Our Requirements In order to apply for one of F-16 our squadrons, make sure you are meeting our requirements: Being PRO-ACTIVE, willing to read and learn documents and perfect your skills in your own time, outside of regular training events Able to fly in formation, and able to execute Air to Air Refuel (AAR) in fair weather Basic experience using Navigation, Combat Systems and Weapons Experience with using SRS (Simple Radio) and Basic knowledge of ATC Communication Able to execute an Overhead Break together with proper Airbase procedures Able to speak, read and understand english Using TrackIR or a similar system, or Virtual Reality Owning F-16, Syria and Persian Gulf maps (No Free Trials!) Among other requirements, this stands alone, as most common potential disqualifier: Our applicant must be able to attend at least 50% of our events in given month. We strongly believe, that consistency and tenaciousness are keys to success If you are unable to match few of those requirements, don't give up and make sure, that you are fierce in your willing to improve in short time with or without help of our instructors. Being able to learn is The quality, that we want to see in our pilots! How to apply? In order to apply, visit our discord and ask about F-16 recruitment for either RNLAF 313 or PolAF 6 FS in public chat. Our drill instructor will reach you and open private recruitment thread, guiding you through all next steps. While you are waiting for thread to be opened, feel free to visit our Website and explore more about us Website: https://tawdcs.org/battalion/cjtf Discord: https://discord.com/invite/tawdcs

EUROPEAN BASED - CJTF-13 - JOINT TASK FORCE (Fighter jets , Helicopters & Air Traffic Control) The CJTF-13 Battalion is aiming for the most realistic and immersive virtual experience in TAW DCS. If you are looking for very realistic, in-depth planned events, where flying to the ‘AO’ means you may have to rely on Air to Air refuel to be able to make it there and back home, following the correct waypoints/altitudes/speeds to be ‘on station’ at the predetermined time (ToT), where the other Squadrons are a key part of the success of the mission at hand, then the CJTF-13 is THE PLACE TO BE!!! We create MDC’s (Mission Data Cards) where all important information is stated, then we import this into DCS so every pilot has the info in his Kneeboard Map while performing the missions. Maps we use: Persian Gulf , Syria , Caucasus , Marianas (Maybe other maps in the future) We focus on both LAND and NAVAL OPERATIONS in every mission, we only use full fidelity modules which are currently the F-16C, F/A-18C, F-15E and Helicopters. Note* our current active squadrons are as follows: F-16 (RNLAF 313) F-15E (494th FS) F/A-18 (VMFA 212) AH-64 (13th CAB) OH-58D (13th CAB) Air Traffic Control (8 Squadron) F-4 (526th vTFS) F-4 Recruitment thread: Helicopter squadron recruitment thread: Any upcoming modern full fidelity module may be incorporated as well. We are also open to recruit Air Traffic controllers. We are all very happy and willing to help you get the best and most out of your module of choice, but you are required to train on certain topics where you lack some experience by yourself, without us having to try and motivate you to do just that. This is the type of pilot we are looking for: A motivated and dedicated person who WANTS to be great in all things needed to perform realistic combat sorties, as perfectly as possible in a well oiled teamplay war machine. You need to bring the commitment and dedication to learning to excel in CJTF-13. This requires you to go out and look for ways to improve yourself, so when we actually fly missions together, we will all be at our BEST and only have to focus on the mission at hand and not on other things that may distract us from that. ################### The CJTF-13 hold its weekly Mandatory Event on SUNDAY’s @ 1945 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1745Z, Winter Time 1845Z). The CJTF-13 hold its weekly Training Sessions on THURSDAY’s @ 2030 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1830Z, Winter Time 1930Z). #################### The minimum requirements for joining the CJTF-13 are as follows: – Being PRO-ACTIVE, willing to read and learn documents and perfect your skills in your own time, outside of regular training events – Able to fly formation perfectly and able to execute Air to Air Refuel (AAR) in fair weather (for fixed wings) – In any helicopter, you need to be able to conduct a stationary hover pedal-turn to maneuver around tight forward bases. – Basic experience using Navigation, Combat Systems and Weapons – Experience with using SRS (Simple Radio) and Basic knowledge of ATC Communication – Able to execute a CASE 1 Recovery on a CARRIER; if choosing a NAVAL Aircraft - Able to execute an OVERHEAD BREAK and FAN BREAK together with proper AIRBASE procedures; if choosing a LAND BASED aircraft – Able to speak and understand proficient ENGLISH; Communication is key to success, we need to understand eachother – Using TrackIR or a similar system, or Virtual Reality – Owning the aircraft module of your choice and required maps. If you are interested in joining us please visit our website or join our discord and simply contact one of our recruitment officers (with CJTF Staff tag) Website: https://tawdcs.org/battalion/cjtf Discord: https://discord.com/invite/tawdcs If you had any questions , feel free to ask here or directly message me on discord: my ID tag is @catkovsky

null Welcome to the 480th vTFS! I'm Josh, or if you prefer "Cooper". I've been a part of the flight sim community for years now, since I was only 16 during the times of Rise of Flight. I've always been extremely passionate about aviation, but one aspect of aviation that I can never get enough of - is Cold War era aviation. Big birds like the Eagle, or Tomcat, or more relevant to this post, the Phantom have always been some of my favorite aircraft ever. Now with the F-4 in DCS and the Cold War Germany map, I can start a true passion project of mine - starting a Cold War era F-4 Wild Weasel squadron in DCS - with a focus on flying how they flew. Flying the real patterns around Spang', flying the real approaches, using the tactics they used... etc. What is in the 480th vTFS? An easy-going, open-minded, friendly atmosphere, with passionate like-minded people looking to simulate what it was like in the 480th TFS during the 70s and 80s as realistically as possible, without making it a second job. Custom made skins that were researched to match the paintjobs of the real 480th jets during the 70s and 80s. Custom made in-flight guides for Spangdahlem and the areas around it. These use as much information from the 80s as we can get (albeit this information is very limited), and the rest is inferred from modern FLIPs, and other FLIPs from the 80s. Regular, weekly coordination and collaboration with the REFORGER community in DCS. An atmosphere of learning. We're all passionate about this hobby, and as you probably know, this hobby involves a LOT of learning. We'll all learn from mistakes. From mistakes while flying, to mistakes in my research, and as time goes on, we'll have a better and more realistic group for us to fly in What are the requirements to join? You must be at least 18 years old. You must own the Heatblur F-4E module. You must own the Ugra Media Cold War Germany Map You must have SRS downloaded and installed And finally, you must have a working microphone and HOTAS. If you're interested in joining, come stop by our Discord group! Me and my wingman Mobile after the last REFORGER Joint Training Exercise

Hi everybody, My name is Rohrkrepierer or Alex and I am the host of DCS REFORGER. DCS REFORGER is a series of events that focuses on bringing together different cold war milsim squadron in a collaborative effort to put together a believeable and immersive exercise scenario every couple months or so. So far, we have held 3 events. Each with an increasing amount of participating squadrons and pilots. Starting out, we set the event in a fictional range facility in the mountains of southern Georgia. We then moved on to a low level navigation focused exercise set on the Kola map. With the release of the CW Germany map, we moved the event series home to where it should take place. In the future we will for sure still host the occasional exercise on Kola for the extreme low level navigation possibilities the Kola map is particularly suited for. I am always looking for enthusiastic milsim squadrons that would like to participate, so please reach out if this event series is of interest to you! In the following posts I will present the events that we have held so far. Please use this forum to reach out to me with any questions! What is DCS REFORGER? Inspired by a relative lack of cooperative events for milsim communities focusing on the cold war environment, DCS REFORGER aims to provide a space for the exchange of experiences and know how in the context of a Large Force Exercise using both AI and Player Opposition to maximise experience gained per evolution of the event. Who can participate in DCS REFORGER? Anyone who has been invited and is active in one of the many DCS squadron communities. What are the prerequisites to participating in DCS REFORGER? The following are the absolute necessities that you should be capable of in order to take part in DCS REFORGER: - Must be mission qualified in your squadron community - Must have SRS installed and working - Must be able to perform all radiotelephony aspects typically used in military air traffic to procedure When do DCS REFORGER Events happen? The typical planning cycle and workload allows us to put together one event about every three months. What map will DCS REFORGER Events take place on? The CW Germany map is where REFORGER will host the bulk of its events, however we are also utilising the Kola map as it offers ample opportunity to put large scale training scenarios into the vast flatlands of the arctic circle regions in Norway, Sweden and Finland. What mods will DCS REFORGER Events feature? Some select mods will be used here and there to maximise the entertainment and learning factor that REFORGER LFEs can provide. There will also be a livery pack provided for each LFE which can easily be installed using a mod manager and which is required to have installed to participate. Why REFORGER specifically? REFORGER in its entirety was an amalgamation of many different exercises by NATO member states with a focus on delivering NATO ground forces from the US to Germany within a timespan of 24 hours in the event of an armed conflict between NATO and the Warsaw Pact at the time. Considering that many exercises were conducted at the time, we have determined that the REFORGER environment is one of the most interesting ones to choose to give the context to our LFEs. As the training missions are fleshed out, we will be adding more to the environment that serves to immerse us in this unique scenario. That said, we are not able, or looking to accurately depict a REFORGER exercise in all its aspects specifically, but to utilise the timespan during which REFORGER exercises happened (1969-1993) which allows us to cover almost every possible use case of the modules available to us in DCS all the way from the Tiger to the Phantom and even the Viper. What will a REFORGER Event look like in practice? Ideally, REFORGER will be an environment for know how and experience exchange, where multiple squadrons of the same airframe will come together to work a specific topic during any event. For example, a squadron with B-Course material on AGM-65 delivery off the F-4 Phantom will cover the topic in a presentation to all of the Phantom pilots attending the event. Then all Phantom pilots will fly the training mission provided to the event hosts by way of a static template made ahead of the event and conduct the training in DCS. After completion, there will be a debrief utilizing TacView and a round of feedback by other squadron participants in order to point out issues in training material, exchange best practices and know how and so on. Another regular event type will be one off missions planned out by the participating squadrons based on provided information material such as a mission file with information, commander's intent, objectives and intelligence material. These missions will be briefed by the event hosts, flown and then debriefed together in order to address points of improvement for all participants. Thank you for your attention and see you around, Rohrkrepierer o7

If you're interested in participating in a continuing series of scripted carrier squadron missions in DCS World, but not interested in joining one of the "biggest and best" squadrons, you should visit: http://www.vfa-41.com - US time zones. - Weekly missions on Sunday nights. Unscheduled missions... are unscheduled. - 9-phased mandatory basic training and qualification program. - F/A-18C Hornet required for qualification, all carrier aircraft supported. - VFA-41 Training Range server up 24/7 (all welcome). The VFA-41 squadron roster is limited to 12 pilots. The squadron will never get bigger than that. Black Aces roster slots are valuable and reserved for carrier pilots who will get up and fly, not for those who might fly if they can find the time. Each Black Ace is a critical member of the team, and missions require each to be ready to fly and fight in order to meet mission objectives. Expert pilots need not apply. VFA-41 does not seek expert pilots. The only requirement is that you have to want to fly, and be prepared to fly at least once a week. If you can't (or don't want to) commit to getting into your plane once a week, Black Aces roster slots are reserved for active pilots. If you see an open slot on the squadron roster, we're recruiting. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're looking for a squadron that will add you to their roster immediately when you submit an application, you should apply to one of the huge squadrons. VFA-41 does not operate like that. You will not be just another faceless name automatically added to an infinite roster with dozens of other members. Our goal is not to have the greatest number of members, but rather the have the right number of dedicated pilots to support ongoing missions. Applicants will be invited to interview with the CO and XO. VFA-41 does not offer trial memberships. If naval aviation is in your blood, and you're seeking a permanent home with other committed naval aviators, that empty slot on the Black Aces pilot roster may be waiting for you.

EUROPEAN BASED - 13th CAB - Combat Aviation Brigade Part of CJTF-13 Joint Task Force Recruiting AH-64D and OH-58D Pilots and CPGs We follow real-life procedures as closely as possible, we use strict radio communications, and train HARD to get to a high level of virtual flying! This type of flight simming is not for everyone, because it requires a certain mindset, time commitment, and motivation to do it right - like holding a stationary hover, applying tactics, and radio communications. If you are looking for short, action-packed missions that are all about killing tanks and risking the helicopter, 13th CAB is NOT the place for you. the 13th CAB is THE PLACE TO BE if: - You are looking for realistic, in-depth planned events that include fighter jets. - You are willing to train in parade and tactical formations. - You are prepared to train the basics like hovering and radio comms to the extent that they become muscle memory and automatisms. - You can take just as much pride in a successful mission without a shot fired, but a safe landing back home, as one with 16 enemy vehicles destroyed. 13th CAB staff provides organized training events and supports you on the way to becoming mission-qualified. The 13th CAB holds its weekly Mandatory Event on SUNDAY @ 1945 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1745Z, Winter Time 1845Z). The 13th CAB holds its weekly Training Sessions on Thursday @ 2030 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1830Z, Winter Time 1930Z). The minimum requirements for joining the 13th CAB are as follows: – Being PROACTIVE, willing to read study material and perfect your skills in your own time, outside of regular training events – Being able to conduct a stationary hover pedal-turn to maneuver around tight forward bases (FOB and FARP). – Demonstrating basic experience using the navigation, sensor, and weapons systems. – Able to speak and understand proficient ENGLISH; communication is key to success, we need to understand each other – Using HOTAS or HOCAS and pedals, as well as head tracking or virtual reality – Owning the aircraft module of your choice and required maps (see CJTF-13 recruitment post) If you are interested in joining us please visit our website or join our discord and simply contact one of our recruitment officers (with CJTF Staff tag) Website: https://tawdcs.org/battalion/cjtf Discord: https://discord.com/invite/tawdcs If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or directly message me on Discord: my ID tag is @eteokles

DCS is a big community and choosing a place to settle down can be hard. There are a lot of groups out there with each having their own culture and standards of flying. As you are reading this ask yourself what you want out of a DCS group. VFA-211 is a DCS Strike Fighter Squadron that is dedicated to getting as close as possible to real-world Naval aviation operations. VFA-211 is dedicated to training its members to be the best of the best. We pride ourselves on flying like real Naval Aviators. We also love Naval Aviation and Naval operations. VFA-211 offers a unique experience in that we capture the culture around Naval Squadrons. We’re a tight-knit group of like-minded people who act like a family building each other up. We are devoted to making an authentic and realistic experience. We are often classified as a military simulation (mil-sim), but what does that exactly mean? Well, our definition of mil-sim is that we strive to get as close as we can to real-world operations within the limits of DCS. VFA-211’s members have a lot of experience in a wide range of tactics and procedures. Our members are devoted to helping one another accomplish the goal of creating a realistic experience within DCS. Mil sim does not mean you have to greet people and say sir, but we do have a chain of command and ranks to identify members and their respective contributing roles. VFA-211’s motto is “Work hard, play hard”. We feel that if you put in the effort that’s what you’ll get out of it. So is VFA-211 a good fit for you? What do you want out of a DCS group? Here are more questions that you can ask yourself. Do I have a passion for flying and naval aviation? Do I enjoy Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and reading/ abiding by them? Do I enjoy flying the F/A-18C start-up to shut down? Am I experienced enough in the F/A-18C? Do I enjoy working as a team and learning in a professional and realistic manner? Can I receive criticism in debriefs whether I fail or succeed in a given mission? Can I become part of a group that flies in the Eastern Standard Time zone on Tuesdays and Bi-Weekly on Saturdays at 2030 EST? If you said yes to all of the above, VFA-211 may be a good option for you. We currently have space for about 3-4 more active pilots and exclusively operate the F/A-18C. Our training and operational programs closely resemble that of a real VFA. Our training consists of approximately 16 flights that cover; Startup/Taxi/Takeoff procedures, Formation Flying, Air to Air Refueling (AAR), Low Altitude Tactics (LAT), Air to Surface (AS), Air to Air (AA), and Carrier Qualifications (CQ). In VFA-211 you will be put through SFARP which teaches you Close Air Support (CAS), Armed Reconnaissance (AR) and much more.Lot’s of hours are spent by squadron members making detailed briefs and training materials as well. If you have made it to the end of this, congratulations! We look forward to having you on our team. FLY NAVY!! Joint Strike Wing (V) Joint Strike Wing (V) (Formerly UK Navalops) is a UK based combat flight sim group for DCS World. The group was initially set up in 2018 as a dedicated Harrier group due to the lack of UK based Harrier squadrons in DCS at the time. Set up by three friends it soon grew to the group we have today. We try to make our missions and training as close to real life as we can within the constraints of DCS. Our members include current and former RAF pilots, airline pilots and instructors, as well as DCS enthusiasts. We strive for realism within our missions but at the same time we don't take ourselves too seriously. We don't have a prolonged training period, new members will be invited to attend a simple induction flight then begin a short training programme with our OCU prior to joining their preferred squadron. We are a relaxed-realism group consisting of DCS players from across different walks of life and places in the world, creating realistic US operations from multiple branches to deliver a varied and exciting experience for our members. Our parent Arma 3 unit was founded in September 2016, and our DCS squadron was founded in May 2020. We are an established and tight-knit gaming community. Types of people we are looking for: We are currently looking for mission makers! Age 17+ At least conversational English proficiency Valid copy of DCS Open Beta SimpleRadio Standalone Working speakers/headset and microphone A positive attitude, high personal integrity, and maturity When it comes to what to fly, we accept flyers of any plane, but currently only use the following modules in our missions: F-14 F-16 F-18 However, we do plan on adding more modules and planes as we expand our number of experienced pilots, with plans to include A-10C, UH-1H, and the Apache, as well as any others we can consistently get enough people to fly regularly in missions! We don't require any member to own any module, but due to them being frequently used in our missions, we do highly recommend having the following modules: Supercarrier Persian Gulf Syria Our missions also use two freely available community mods as well, and will offer help getting them set up if you do not have them. A-4E Community Mod High Digit SAMs About Us US/North American-based community focused on DCS US Armed Forces CAS, CAP, and SEAD/DEAD operations. Unit Wide Monday Operations every Monday at 19:00CDT. Members from the age of 17 to their 50s. We have members from Indonesia to Brazil to the UK. They come from all walks of life from plumbers to students to corporate managers to military officers. We are more than a DCS squadron, we are a tightly knit community and we often play other games together. We want to get new members in the game quickly, and our basic training is designed to do just that: teach only what we do. We offer training on all supported airframes and roles, with the expectation that members gradually improve over time. We know DCS is a game and we just want to know that you’re up to speed. That is also why our attendance policy is a bit unorthodox, we only require you to tell us if you plan on attending or not. Though activity has its own rewards, we do not punish or adversely affect you if you can’t make it to a game session. In-game we expect seriousness and professionalism to provide an immersive and fun gaming experience. You will have a task and you will have leaders giving orders, and there will be a bit of structure. This is not to say you can’t crack a joke or anything, but there’s a point to where it can become distracting. Out of game we are just a bunch of friends goofing around like a gaming community should. We don't expect “yes sir, no sir” in or out of game. What We Bring To The Table We have multiple sections working both independently and cooperatively to bring a new level of coordinated missions. With experienced real-life Air Force controllers and pilots, we are able to simulate a high degree of realism in our operations. We want to present an active and high-energy environment that is professional when we need to be, laid back the rest of the time, and fun all the time. Our leadership is adept at what they do, whether it is designing missions and operations, or getting everyone hyped to get some game time in. We have a dedicated server for SRS, training, and operations! Why We’re Different From the Rest While no unit is totally unique, JATF-121 attempts to break out by being relaxed and professional in the realism department. Immersion is important but we eschew all the “dead weight.” We don’t have a mod for every little thing. We don’t insist that you drop real life into oblivion for a game. We don’t put new members through overly-developed and lengthy training schedules. We believe that everyone has a certain taste and style to their DCS preference. We focus on common sense but accurate policies, short training, high energy operations, active player base, and approachable but fleshed out realism and immersion. How to join 1. Join the Discord and read over the #dcs-welcome channel 2. Fill out the brief application form 3. After filling out the application we will have a quick one on one chat on TeamSpeak to make sure that we as a unit are a good fit for you, then get you into the game! Contact Information Our Teamspeak IP: ts3.taskforce121.us Discord Link: https://discord.gg/r72h6tW Several of our members stream DCS and Arma and other games on Twitch, feel free to ask for some of the channels if you'd like to watch an operation.
