That would be nice to get a fully modeled American trainer aircraft for the US Navy. All we need to finish an actual Naval Training Campaign would be to make an Beech T-6 Texan 2 for beginning training and and a T-44 Pegasus for multi crew training. The same goes for the US Air Force with the T-38 Talon or helicopter training with the Bell TH-57. 2
Uxi Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 DCS really needs official mod support. The T-45, A-4, etc. Think of all the assets (naval ships, etc), civil airline mod, etc that could be easily integrated. Something like the T-45 should be with the core game. 2 Specs & Wishlist: Core i9 9900k 5.0Ghz, Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero, 64GB G.Skill Trident 3600, Asus RoG Strix 3090 OC, 2TB x Samsung Evo 970 M.2 boot. WWSandMan Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Hope they figure stuff out, I rather enjoyed the T-45. But under the latest OB version, the T-45 mod is no longer flyable (at least for me ... always possible I nerfed the install.) So I'll enable patience to wait and see how this progresses. VZ_342 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 On latest OB also, and very impressed with this mod! Very...sedate...handling, easy to fly. The control panels/instruments are a bit dark, makes them hard to read without zoom. 2
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Same here, I can still find it. The only gripe and a long-time one, is the text on HUD and MFDs are a bit of low res which make them hard to read. It was the go-to tourist plane until MB-339A comes in. I Fly, Therefore I Am. TEMPEST.114 Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Firstly, I want say a massive thank you for this mod. It's amazing. I lived very close to where BAe were flight testing the GosHawk and watched it almost every day. I just have one minor problem/question. I'm in VR (HP G2) but I'm struggling to read the HUD. Is there a way I can change the line thickness / colour? I'm struggling also with the 'distance' it's rendering in VR. Can this be changed? Thanks again. This is a game-changing mod. 1

Hi there, I also use the HP G2. The HUD seems fine for me, not perfect, (more a lighting problem at night or with sunlight glare), but the font size etc. is good. Can you post a screenshot so we can compare? Is DCS installed in the default folder? Does your user name have a space or accent in it? Check Anti-Virus Software.. (All to do with the font installation, see October 2021 chat in this thread). Ah, just remembered, check your IPD checkbox in VR settings, I have it deselected... But this will affect all your 'distance' in every airplane you fly.. Another thing, check this out if you are a HP G2 user: try going native with OpenXR, no more flickering screens during loading missions and startup... Good luck! WWSandMan Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 I re-installed the latest version (1.01?) on OB v2.8.2.35759 and it's now working as intended again for me. Not sure what the issue was previously, but happy to be flying the T-45 again. Administration Officer: Wing Walkers virtual Squadron - online (and a member of) since 1992! Ilias6ty7 Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 (edited) I'm late to this great free mod. I love the fact the T-45 is a multicrew supported aircraft. I have been looking forward to a trainer for some time as I wish to take my daughter and friends on joy flights together, where I do all of the work. The F-14 is a multicrew aircraft but once in multiplayer, I lose control of Jester and starting the aircraft is impossible with a RIO completely unfamiliar with this plane. The T-45 on the other hand supports a "passenger". I just wish the controls were synchronised, and at the very least, synchronising the canopy! Nonetheless, it's my go to aircraft for taking friends on VR joy flights. Synchronising the controls (MFDs) would be a huge plus for me. Great job the developers VNAO did with this mod. I'm truly grateful. Has anyone got a cunning way to synchronise controls between two computers? [Update] I found a workaround. I use a modified VoiceAttack command to perform the essential start-up actions. Each is mapped to a keyboard binding. I run InputDirector (which I have been running for years) and initiate a mirror action so as the pilot's start-up routine is executing, the instructor PC is executing the same (keyboard bindings are equal). This works surprisingly well as a hack for now. Edited February 5, 2023 by Ilias6ty7 1
