Avimimus Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Hoping that the infrared system for ground units will also involve upgrades to seeker modelling... hoping for improved rocket fragmentation modelling for us helicopter types. 1
Nomatic Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Happy New Year everyone. Here’s to the next lap around the sun. As for excited… I’m most excited for Multi-Core, Vulkan, and the Apache. In any order! Next is absolutely Dynamic Campaign. Let’s goooo 2022! 3 If speed is death…, buy a Honda and live forever.
WinterH Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Among what's shown in the video, the (hopefully) F-4E tease at the end, and eventual A-6E. Besides those, hopefully dynamic campaign finally. As for the modules, I really hope we can get to experience F4U Corsair and Mirage F1 in coming weeks/months :). 2 Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script

Gary Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 For me, ATC, ATC and ATC upgrades...oh, and the dynamic campaign of course. 4 1 I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1

LooseSeal Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 For me it's, firstly, upgrades to the core game - AI, performance, expansion of assets, ATC, etc. Then the dynamic campaign, but I think it will need the core upgrades first to be a success. As for modules... the Apache. 100%. The only module that even comes close to convincing me to properly get into multiplayer/coop. Curious to find out the answer to the big Afghanistan/C-130 debate too! 6 - i7-7700k - 32GB DDR4 2400Mhz - GTX 1080 8GB - Installed on SSD - TM Warthog DCS Modules - A-10C; M-2000C; AV8B; F/A-18C; Ka-50; FC-3; UH-1H; F-5E; Mi-8; F-14; Persian Gulf; NTTR
Steph Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 For me it would be an animated 3D pilot going up and down from the cockpit without going through the F2 views to F1 ... and airport animations and a briefing room on the ground. Happy New Year everyone

I think this thread is more about what is actually coming this year, or potentially coming. I'm afraid to tell you that none of that will be happening. Edit: Well, maybe airport animations or something like it? Snappy Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 (edited) Public bugtracker as long announced by Kate Perederko. Overhaul of AI, not just the new FM, but their behaviour and decision making progress. More focus on older modules and their bugs. Less marketing hype. Edited January 2, 2022 by Snappy 4
I_Gamer Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 Looking forward to the improvement of weather simulation, particle effects and Vulkan! Beirut Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 Looking forward to a great big fat South Atlantic map. It's going to make every plane feel new again. More maps... always more maps! And definitely looking forward to the BS3. The Apache looks cool, but too complicated (for me). For those of us who love the BS2, the BS3 upgrade is going to be a blast of fresh air, and at a discount apparently. Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

Snakepit92 Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 Mostly excited for the Dynamic Campaign and performance upgrades. Especially multithreading and if anything helps VR optimization. Looking forward to the first newsletter of the year as it's usually a big one 6
schurem Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 For me its the ai rework that's the most promising. And some of the cool new modules 3 I5 9600KF, 32GB, 3080ti, G2, PointCTRL
Admiral_ZIPANGU Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 (edited) We look forward to the release of the MirageF1, AH-64D, F4U-1D, and F-15E. It is still fun to touch new modules. I also hope that the existing 3D models for AI will be improved. Good looks are another advantage of DCS. In addition, don't forget to continue to add more assets on the ground. Especially the installable alert hangers would be more uplifting. sirrah Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 I'm mostly excited about the performance improvements that Vulkan and multithreading will hopefully bring us. With the GPU market still being completely clogged up (to not use any swear words...), performance optimization is by far the most important thing at the moment imho. Additionally I really hope for a dynamic campaign release this year, AI and ATC improvement/overhaul and I can't wait to fly the Apache 5 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

All the new Modules are great by the way........ But what uses us all the new shiny things with a slow engine......which is simply old and VR in Flighsims are really game changers. So agree Pleas ED wait with the new modules ( not Ah64d) and bring the engine / VR on 2022 ..... And then bring new Contend.... thanks cheers... 2

Raisuli Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Are we doing new year's wishes? First on my list is to hope everyone enjoys their ten day new year's holiday, and gets to spend it with people they like. Second is to get better with what's already available, because I have all the modules and there's a lot to learn. Third? Let's hope 2022 isn't a threpeat. After that? If I can get those three everything else would be gravy. Oh, there is one thing. Heatblur could fix that awful wallpaper they have for the F-14. I mean, really...let's have some priorities here! 6
