The christmas tree bloom on the F-18 is better, but still exists, still a wacky bloom off of the lights.

Better for sure, but still gonna stick to using mods to fix it for now.

"Fixed: AI does not perform a clearing turn on Case III launches."

Mistranslation, surely? CASE III launch is not supposed to have clearing turns, so the AI not doing clearing turns would be correct.

What happened to the new BFM AI, and further work on BVR? When the first batch of BVR improvements was added, the word was that BFM will be "in the next patch".

Where did you see it was to be in the next patch? AI coding is not easy and takes time. It could be a little bit before the next wave comes in.

In the last changelog, as per the post above. I was a bit surprised, because of the factors you mention, but I assumed you were working on both in parallel.

I take it that we shouldn't get our hopes up for them being out next month? I was looking forward to some real BFM.

For 'a June update' not for the next patch, and depending on testing these plans can change and often due because of what I described.

Well, it's June and we just had an update. 🙂 There's usually only one per month (discounting hotfixes), I thought it'd come out later, it hasn't been very long since the May one. It would be great if the expected timeline could be clarified, making AI less dimwitted in BFM will be a huge change not only for players, but also for campaign creators.

Fixed: Central Position Trimmer Mode implementation.

For AH-64. Anyone know what was 'fixed'?  Haven't flown it yet since patch, so maybe it will be evident 🙂

I didn't notice anything new other than the stars are quite a bit less visible now... and nighttime requires a significantly higher gamma setting in order to look good. At least in the Hornet, the exterior lights still have the giant halos...

Fixed: Central Position Trimmer Mode implementation.

My question was WHAT changed in the Central Position Trimmer Mode Implementation.  Probably doesn't matter as it didn't really change anything about the way I was flying and trimming

New Sounds and Sounder

Wha' in the hay is a "sounder"?

And that on the I-16...

Added axis input for afterburner, mixture, cowl flaps, oil radiator controls

... made me giggle pinkiepieexcited.png

Probably an unwisely chosen translation for форсаж, which basically is more like WEP in piston engined planes.
