It was home to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, Belgian Air Component and United States Air Force. Helicopters, transport aircrafts, fighter aircraft, drones - everyone was here. By the way, we made new unique hangars for this airbase, now your birds will be safe. Even though the canteen (DFAC) is no longer as tasty as experienced fighters say, the rule of three drinks has been preserved and you will be covered by MFR (the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation program). На самом деле разные определения тех или иных основных частей планера и аэродинамических поверхностей ЛА в ходу, а разночтения у адекватного авиационного специалиста не вызывают сильного раздражения. Для общего кругозора можете заглянуть в т.о. Ла-7 и найти там термин «руль глубины». Будете всем рассказывать, что Лавочкин строил подводные лодки.8 points

According to the SIPRI arms transfer database 500 (estimated) rb 75's were ordered in 1975 and delivered in 1977-1978. The air force may have modified the missiles after that; I have seen documents discussing plans for seeker head modifications in 1979 (see below) but I don't know to what extent the plans were actually implemented. (Document photographed at a visit to the Arboga missile museum years ago; access was not restricted.)4 points

Galinette начал с симуляции радара как такового и потом уже будет добавлять режимы обработки отраженного сигнала. Чистый(почти, иначе были бы не засветки а сплошное молоко) импульсный режим у нас это БС3 или БСВ. Высота 7 км если смотреть на правую шкалу(стоит 0-15 км, по 3 км деление, бегает уголок). 1 - это строка сканирования, самая верхняя, оно меняется от 1 до 4, радар цепляет пики гор впереди и показывает их. Импульсные режимы дают наибольшую дальность обнаружения, не зависят от ракурса(нотча нет). Засветки вблизи от боковых лепестков диаграммы направленности радара нет потому что они глушатся на всех режимах. "Чистый" допплер будет режим МВ, там все будет похоже на МиГ-29 в ГС3 но дальность ограничена 30 км потому что из-за малой частоты повторения импульсов и других характеристик радар не может -однозначно- указывать дальность до контакта по чисто математическим причинам. Кто-то может еще заметить что должны быть слепые скорости сближения - с этим борятся соответствующие блоки, слепых скоростей(нотча) нет но контакты на них обновляются за 4 прохода. В режимах БС-1-2-3 шкала дальности до 90 км но может видеть и дальше, просто контакт залипнет на 90 пока не станет ближе. В режиме РЛ режим РЛС выбирается в зависимости от высоты перехватчика и направлении антенны относительно горизонта построчно, то есть за 1 четырехстрочный проход могут использоваться разные техники обработки отраженного сигнала.4 points

Could that be a switchable option? If there may be performance degradation then could there be a selection that inhibits the movement, thereby not having a performance hit? Dont know if it indeed would cause a drop in performance, but if so . . . Every little helps.4 points

Hi ! Some variants of the Mirage F1 in DCS can equip the RPL 201 (2310L) fuel tank (AI Only). This fuel tank has been developped to fit on the Irakian mirage f1's, and was used later by the French Air Force. As we know in DCS we only have Spanish exportation variants, but this variant could technically be equipped with the fuel tank, given that it takes nothing to equip it apart the pylon wich comes with the fuel tank. It could be a great addition to the module to have more fuel on the center pylon and it gives new loadouts possibilities. As the Rpl 201 is already in game so i think there is not so much work to do to make it work on the flyable versions.3 points

CrazyEddie here - Its been my practice to pass skins on to the mod maker for inclusion, if they wish, no obligation. If they decide not to ... I dont ask. Anything I do is free to everyone, to do with as they wish, give me credit where its due and I'm happy. This way I avoid conflict with the mod makers. SO - Here are the Tanker and single Tug skins I did for the M92 mod, I use them in a completely different way so I dont know if they still work, but feel free to adjust or modify them to make them work as you wish. Есть ли в планах добавление к наземному персоналу (статикам) техников, РП для красной коалиции? А то уже года два Airboss с техниками авианосца одни для всех. Хотелось бы иметь и АПА-5Д обновленную и топливозаправщик а не бензовоз, и так далее. В 2024 планируются аж 2 МиГа и Ла-7, карта Кольского полуострова и Афганистана. Плюс люди высказывают потребность в создании набора техники времен Колдвара. Как по мне, назрел спрос, который ЕД не сможет игнорировать вечно Так может заранее начать делать статики для Советов с приемлемой детализацией? Поскольку анонсированных юнитов (вроде АПА-5Д и прочего) никто не видел.3 points

I think I've arrived at a good solution for the cirrus layer. I created new cirrus textures that are similar to the originals but higher resolution. I decided not to use the more dramatic cirrus textures as they don't blend as well with the volumetric clouds. I also increased the transition time to 15 minutes. Hi Very nice buildings, and good to know you are adding all those new airports. But, I think that more efforts should be in creating millitary stuff rather than civil building with almost none strategy importance. For example, SAM sites (altough they are the best we have in DCS), are prety standard, with almost no differences with each other. In Egypt, there are 2 EWR sites with quite particular EWR (Rezonans) that have over-the-horizon detection capabilities. But, the sites aren`t modelled at all. So, instead of doing custom civil building with no strategy relevance, I would suggest doing custom millitary SAM/EWR sites, military bases, power plants, industries, ports.3 points

On the real aircraft, the alternators are checked to be "ON" during the "After Entering Cabin" section of the Cold Start Procedure, but this section is most often overlooked on DCS. Hello all, The Mirage F1 is one of the cold war modules I fly the most, however I had an issue with the textures as I felt that they were too flat and pixelated. thus I took it upon myself to redo the textures as best I can. this is still very WIP but the list of improvements and work left to do can be seen below. in the meantime here are a few WIP images. This work is done in a more general fashion then my usual liveries in the hopes that I can provide a template in the end for users to create their own liveries with the new textures, the camos and the lines are the same from the original template provided by Aergas but heavily modified, while the labels have not been modified. Enjoy~ List of Improvements: Entirely New Roughmets to give the aircraft depth and detail Entirely New Normal maps (possibly in 8k if storage space permits) to remove the pixelated lines and add, depth detail and realism Entirely New Weathering which includes oil leaks, panel wear, and paint wear integrated with the Roughmet Heavily modified Panels and rivets to remove the pixels around the panels and reduce the strength to something that is more comparable to real life List of WIP items that need to be completed: Removal of seams and other errors Underside weathering Horizantal stab. weathering + RMs Improve normals, especially on the fuselage Apply changes to other variants (EE, BE) Here are some images and comparison gifs: Comparison GIFs Ingame Screenshots:2 points

During my campaign I got greedy and decided to waste some ammo on some AAA. It was a silly idea and I should have pulled off WAY sooner but after taking a shot through the prop governor the rest was incredibly cinematic to experience especially through VR!2 points

Oculus VR users and the last PTC update (V63) is producing a conflict with DCS. The workaround is to go back to v62. we are looking into what meta has changed thank you2 points

So it looks like since 2.9 update the parking on many carriers has changed. After "backing in" to a spot the plane flips around on engine shut down. I'll take a look at Clem. "The fix" is yto not have the "back in" but this may cause issues with the taxi routes. And to be honest I never did check the parking with the F-8. But I'll try and take a look. I also have some update for the F-8 but I need to get those over to the guys that are doing that MOD2 points

Hi. I download and look into the zip. The folder names for two vehicles are --- "M92_B600_drivable" "M92_r11_volvo_drivable" instead of "_driveable". I rename them in my liveries folder, they work well. Thank you !!2 points

Happy New Year everyone. Sorry, I have been absent, MIA, and gone for so long. I would like to thank all of you for your concerns and it means a lot to me. It's been rough but I'm still here trying to get back into what I love doing. Creating AI 3D Ship models for DCS. It's a slow process but I'm getting there. My plan for 2024 is to start creating small 3D DCS AI boats and ship models and work my way up from there. I will create the mods in no specific order. I will eventually get back to the AI Mods I was working on in 2023. Below is the first model of 2024. Finlands Hamina Class Missile Boat FNS Tornio. It's a WIP. For the record, I haven't seen any issues with any of my AI Ship models and I have the recent DCS version installed.2 points

They get their canopy tinted by the local garage. As long as the State Troopers don't catch you, you can tint the windows quite dark. Makes it a pain for the other drivers to see your head position, but screw them, I just hit them with Chaff if they beep at me in traffic. Mike2 points

Dude you're way out of line. How the heck can you make a mission NOT crash from within the editor?! Are you kidding me? How many times do I have to tell you that I have the same access to DCS as you? I could repeat what I wrote a 100 times before but you're either not reading them or don't care. The only thing the lighting bug affects is that you cannot cheat in case the mission is too dark for you. Period. I'm not defensive because I wrote it. I didn't write it. It's what happened 80 years ago. Hey why don't I move D-Day H-hour to 12 noon on a sunny cloudless day? Or next time the P-51 is bugged I'll just change it into a Spitfire campaign. So easy, yeah? Or you could have spent the same effort posting this to ED, because at this moment I’m the only one telling them about this issue while everyone else is complaining to me, a guy with the same access to the DCS code as you: none. the mission timing is realistic. I’m not changing it. There is a full moon. If a core ED module/ feature/ bug is substracting from that realism, the solution is not for me to make the mission more unrealistic as a workaround for playability but for ED to fix their stuff. read the relevant chapter in ‘Fighter group’ and you’ll learn what it was like to take off in total darkness. If you don’t believe the mission, that is. @[ED]Ben can you please give us an update on this bug, and whether the team is working on a fix? Thank you.2 points
