Is it dynamic weather or static with clouds moving by the wind?
Either way they are stunning, great job! Thank you.

The third clip looks like there is more going on than just clouds moving within a single preset.

Really looking forward to this.

right now they are still held back a bit by their static nature. good to know that changes are rolling in...

Things need to be done in steps to get to fully dynamic weather, getting them to look right, getting to look right while moving, etc etc. I know its not as fast as we all want, but we are trying to release them looking and feeling the best they can as we go along.

I see what you did there. 😉

Honestly, I don't even notice they are static. I am totally happy with the clouds as they are and if they get better, great.

Will this remedy the aliasing issues associated with "new" clouds present in VR?

Hi all,

thought we would share a little tease of some work in progress for a future update.

we hope you enjoy.

thank you

Eagle Dynamics

This looks fantastic. Can you please advise if it adds much to the CPU load, and if so - is it possible to 'turn off' this feature? (I just have some concerns with this added before Vulkcan / MT is being implemented as DCS is getting quite hefty in the CPU load on my rig)

By pure logic - it has to add something to the load but I wouldn't expect a big hit on performance unless you're already low on specs.

You could probably turn it off in ME like you always could in weather settings but - since it has to be synched in MP - you can't have your own set of clouds as a client.

Ed has just posted a short video/teaser on YouTube today:

Will 2.8 include (long-awaited) Vulcan and/or multi-core implementation?
Or will other cool features like improved rain/fog/clouds/traffic etc. be included ?
I hope we will hear some details in today's Official News (?)
Anyway, this is great news! Looking forward to...
