  2. Please remember this is not a discussion thread. However the A4E inclusion in the video is a nod to a great free community mod, there is not other meaning. Thank you

  5. The question was never how good it would look, HB are doing it obviously it will be top of the line. The question is when. Now that the 2023 AB vid is out, it's 2023, can we get some semblance of an update on the timeline for the F-4? It's been radio silence since November.

  10. Download link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3328249/ Installation: Unzip into your DCS save games campaign folder \Users\...\Saved Games\DCS (or DCS.OpenBeta)\Missions\Campaigns\en\ 301 REDSKINS This is a fictional 4-mission mini-campaign for the AH-64D and the Syria map. The missions are building up in difficulty, with a main focus on atmosphere. Although not required, knowing how to operate the CP/G seat, will definitely improve the experience (each mission briefing will contain a few notes on what the player will need to know for that specific mission). I'd say, overall difficulty is easy to medium and the missions should be suitable for newcomers (albeit as I created it myself, I obviously know where to look and what to do). This campaign contains: Mission specific kneeboards Mission specific briefing images Partially automated comms Day and night OPS Mission scoring (although very easy on newcomers) "Press spacebar" actions, so it might not be suitable for MP (no mods required) I had a lot of fun creating this campaign, hopefully you'll enjoy it too. Any feedback would be appreciated. Although I did test thoroughly, some bugs might have slipped through. If you find any, please let me know. Updated version 1.1 - 18/01/2023 - Log: Mission 2 F10 radio menu not disappearing - FIXED Mission 2 not progressing at some point - FIXED Mission 4 scoring problem - FIXED Updated version 1.2 - 02/07/2023 - Log: Mission 1 AI flight lead not taking off properly - FIXED Updated version 1.3 - 15/10/2023 - Log: Mission 3 AI Apache not in correct parking spot - FIXED Mission 4 "smuggler escaped" Mission failed problem - FIXED Updated version 1.4 - 27-01-2024 - Log: Mission 3 Trigger issues when selecting the "Easy" difficulty mission - FIXED

G&A. DISS-15 guide.pdf

  15. MASSUN92´s Animated ground crew and lights MOD -- DOWNLOAD IT FROM: HERE! What a journey, right? As mentioned in today's newsletter (May 17, 2024), the asset pack will become part of the DCS core, allowing everyone to use the assets in their missions without needing to download anything. This does NOT include the animated ground crew and lights, which will still be available for download from the link above. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Before addressing some questions, I would like to thank all of you, the community, for your support and positive vibes. This achievement is also partly yours. On one hand, your support for the asset pack pushed me to make it better and bigger. On the other hand, I'm sure ED wouldn't have noticed the asset pack if so many people weren't using it and creating wonderful bases with it. So feel proud, we've achieved something fantastic! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - What's going to happen with the mod? I will continue developing content because I enjoy doing it. I love seeing what I create come to "life" within the simulator. According to my discussions with the people at ED, there's a possibility of adding more objects in the future, so feel free to leave suggestions below. - What will happen to the missions created with the latest version of the mod? As far as I understand, and I could be wrong, they should work fine WITHOUT the mod installed. - Will there be improvements? We have an agreement where I will make some minor future corrections to the models. Beyond that, I don't know what the future holds. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Who I am? Hi to all! My name is Patricio Massun, I'm a 3D artist and architect from Argentina. My job is mostly related to arch visualization and asset creation for renders. I use this mod to practice some lowpoly, game-ready, real time rendering technics. I use Blender for all my work. All the models of the mod are created entirely by myself and the textures are from ambientcg (old cc0textures.com). All the export process is based on the EDM exported made by Tobi and use the tutorials from Grajo (Without them the mod would not have been possible). - About the mod:

  20. We don't make clickable F-15C, we don't make clickable machines only "air to air" like MiG-29, Su-27 because it's boring ... But we do Chinnok, which in a very exciting way will be able to transport from point A to point B cargos, soldiers ... Hell, even the UH-1 gives you more options Who needs it?

  24. Look at the HAF dash one or the F16A dash one both of which are publicly available on page 140 it will clearly say the rudder limits then compare with DCS, i posted twice and what i got in return for helping was a deleted post and 50 penalty points. I am literally posting the tracks and showing you where to look @NineLine cross over aoa.trkcross over aoa2.trk Also you cant say that those manuals are not related because the F16A has a different tail compared the the BLK52+ and they STILL have the same limits!

  26. Yup, the Hog and the Hornet work quite differently. I actually prefer the Hornet, to be honest, the Hog will let you have weapons and sensors pointed in all different directions with a target point in another totally different location and you need to hit buttons to bring it all back together. Not so with the Hornet. It's what's called a "single line of sight" aircraft - all sensors should always be pointing to the same place all the time, and that place should always be the target. There are a few exceptions to this, and some people try to drive at those exceptions to make it work more like a Hog - don't do it, embrace the Hornet workflow. The fundamental concept of target workflow in the Hornet is that you have one Designated Target location, you can think of this like SPI, it's a similar idea. One sensor is always the Priority sensor providing Target Designation location, this is a bit like SOI in the Hog, but the difference is that the Priority sensor (identified by a diamond in the corner of the MFD) will by default be providing the Target Designation. There's generally no "Make SPI" command. If you're slewing around the FLIR pod in a ground stabilized mode, you are moving the Target location. There's no indication in the HUD/HMD for where the FLIR pod is pointing because there doesn't really need to be. Nearly all of the time, the FLIR is pointing at the Target, and there is a Target indication in the HUD/HMD. If you want to start looking for a target around a waypoint, select that waypoint on the HSI or SA page, and hit the Waypoint Designate (WPDSG) button. This will immediately designate the waypoint location as your Target and slew all weapons and sensors to it. The A/G radar will point to it, the FLIR will point to it, you'll have a target diamond, range, and a steering cue in your HUD and HMD, uncaged Mavericks will slew to it, and JDAMs in TOO will have the target point uploaded to them. If you want to look around the area with the FLIR make the FLIR page Priority, select Scene mode with SCS, and start slewing around. As you do, all other sensors and weapons will follow the FLIR pod. When the FLIR is pointing at your target, turn in and engage. No need to hit any additional buttons, where you're pointing is your target. If you want to return to the waypoint, move to a different waypoint, or markpoint: select it on the SA or HSI page and designate it again. To designate a target with the HUD or HMD the process is very similar. Set the HUD to Priority with SCS Up, point the dot in the center of the reticle at the target, and depress the TDC Designate button. No need to differentiate between the HUD and HMD, the Hornet is smart enough to figure it out on its own - if you're looking at the HUD it'll use the HUD, if you look away from the HUD it'll use the HMD. Once designated you can keep slewing it around from the HUD/HMD, or make the FLIR priority and take over marking the Target location from there. The Hog is a bit of a ponderous aircraft. The Hornet is a strike fighter, it's designed to quickly acquire one target, attack that target as rapidly as possible, and GTFO.

  28. AMD is in trouble, as they lost another 8% marketshare in the GPU Market to nVidia, AMD made stabs at nVidia over the power plug issues, and now they are likely going to have to do a Service recall on several serial # batches. Age doesnt mean anything, it doesnt matter when he was alive. As for my "fanboyism", you do realize all 5 of my system's are AMD Exclusively right? w/ the only exception being my laptop. Question 1, Global Availability has no bearing on the issue. Question 2, Do you understand AMD's Graphics Division still hasn't recouped the losses it endured during the previous generations, and is now about to drop below the 12% marketshare. it's Costly because AMD can't afford the negative press, and the pending Serial Batch recall to service the affected cards. As for Question 3, you might want to watch what your asking and who your asking, I hope that question isnt directed at me, as for it being directed at derbauer, he can give 2 harddisk mounting screws about you tube followers, he designs hardware for Grizzly, as well as custom fabricated tools for things that you'd likely take for granted, whether he posts here or see's your comments is besides the point, at this point you are just verbally bashing someone you dont know anything about. If you're going to lower the rumors/discussion thread to attacking some one, then you can keep the trolling and insults to yourself.

  30. Turns out that the HB Ukrainian team of developers were working in an isolated farmstead in east Ukrain when the Russians invaded. The F-4E code was left on the hard drive of a computer, disconnected from the internet, 100 miles behind enemy lines. Cobra847 was tasked with training a team of soldiers to parachute across enemy lines and retrieve the hard drive. The soldiers, recruited from murderers, rappers and criminals on death row, are promised commuted sentences. In spite of their history, the 12 men prove a spirited and courageous unit. However, 2022 passed and the team was not heard from. This is why HB were unable to give us any news or even screenshots of the module. Now, with just 2 days to the 2023AB video Cobra and IronMike have taken upon themselves to write the entire code from sctratch. They have been frantically hammering away at their keyboards while being sustained by the other HB employees on a strict diet of Redbull, sugar, and espresso shots. Each of them has worked through multiple keyboards already that fell apart sending Caps Locks and spacebars flying everywhere. Will they make it in time for a 2023AB video? It only takes one broken typing finger for this effort to fail. I dont know bout you all, but I will cheer for them and keep my fingers crossed.

Mainly is an experiment on physics modeling, autopilot theory, aerodynamics etc . Also I learned a lot about DCS development: What you people think about? Let me know if anyone is interested in trying. https://tnnvk.com/bachem-ba-349-natter-dcs-module/ Cheers, Toni Novak

  37. Just really getting into DCS WWII with the Spitfire. Now that I have Point CTRL I decided I wanted to see how I like DCS WWII ( have always used the other one for that). I love cold starts. Plus the Corsair is coming with carrier ops who can resist that? Love my carrier ops in Hornet. Anyhoo I discovered something kind of cool yesterday. I know Virpil Encoders can be somewhat limited on functionality, but I have found they give me finer adjustment of my trims than assiging trims to regular hat buttons do. Spit is very, very sensitive on that elevator trim. Getting that thing trimmed for level flight at a certain speed, well it can be a challenge. I put it on one of my Virpil CM3 throttle encoders ( in additon to hat button) so now I have at my fingertrip a way to trim finer adjustments with the encoder. For more course trim like when first trimming the aircraft after takeoff I just use my hat button I have assigned as it works it quicker.

  38. Hi! Congratulation for the great work, but we will need a more readable HUD, as it is right now, I barely can distinguish the figures and I am just setting up DCS in VR, I might be able to go around this issue if I can find out how to zoom in and out. Merry Christmass and Happy New Year!
