Did we get the "technicals" or am I just not seeing them?

Yes, where are those concrete structures and technicals? I've looked in the static objects-> structures but do not see them.

Edit: I see the concrete barrier in Cargo category but not the technicals in the ME.

Not seeing a mention of a FLIR fix for the ED's jets in the patch notes. I hope it made it in and it's just not mentioned.

EDIT: Nope, just polarity fix...

After a quick test after OB patch Yes it is fixed... but to be clear what was inverted (hot vehicles) is fixed but what was OK (flames/smoke) is now inverted...

EDIT : That is for "old" flir (ex hornet) - new flir seems OK.

    • FLIR video for all displays

Only been flying the Harrier for a short while, and I'll be honest, to my untrained eye I didn't really notice a huge difference

The Harrier MFDs have always been a cut above in my eyes, but now you can see some nice heat details, like when the tanks fire. It's pretty sweet.

Either that or my coffee is just really, really good.

I don't think it actually did though.

NineLine said it was "partially" implemented, but so far I'm having trouble determining what elements of the new FLIR, if any, actually made it to the A-10Cs, F-16CM and F/A-18C.

I did a short comparison between the AV-8B N/A and F-16CM, which can be found here.

The summary is as follows:

  • The vehicles don't use the new FLIR textures.
  • The textures they do use aren't dynamic - vehicles don't get hotter after driving, whereas they do for modules equipped with the new FLIR.
  • In some instances, the FLIR looks like TV, echoing issues seen in the 23rd of March update (only now for BHOT rather than WHOT, as the polarity was inverted).

DCS: AJS-37 Viggen by Heatblur Simulations

  • Fixed engine oscillations at ground idle below 0°C.

Don't know why, but I feel I've read that a few times already, hope they finally nailed it down.

DCS: F-14 Tomcat by Heatblur Simulations

  • Fixed Multiplayer Seat Switching not working.
  • Added new DCS FLIR mechanics.
  • Autopilot
    • Fixed AP not working with FFB.

First line: Did I miss something? Thought seat switching in MP doesn't work at all throughout DCS...

Great to see the FLIR stuff added so quickly!

Best news probably is the AP thing.

TOMCATS!

Started the hotfix update and to my surprise it's now downloading over 4GB 😳

Seems rather large for a hotfix (also I wouldn't have guessed this, looking at the patch notes)

Absolutely not, the cursor never goes away. On top of that, the headset itself triggers of clicks which usually happens when you do things like leaning into the dashboard of the Tomcat and the HUD cam appearing / disappearing like 50 times a second. Seems like the headset itself acts like a controller and the cursor that never goes away is tied to it. I can move it off to the border by holding the grab key of one of the controllers and dragging it outside the lenses scope, but it's still there nevertheless. And what really drives me nuts is the fact that it constantly keeps triggering tooltips, which especially is a nuisance at night since they're blinding me hard. I've been pointing those issues out as soon as I got my first headset in 2019 and I was already way late to the party. I still wish for something to happen at some point.
