untilSuccessful attacks on Soviet logistics including the port of Latakia and the train depot at Raqqa have hampered their advance. At long last they have organized their forces to launch an attack against Palmyra and its oil fields, the main target of their forces. Soviet troops are attacking over the mountains north of Palmyra, but the main thrust of their attack is a large tank force from the East from Deir ez-Zur. They have heavily shelled from the mountains to the North of Palmyra damaging much of the city including the ancient Roman monuments. Unlike in Deir-ez Zur, Syrian troops have been mobilized in large numbers and are prepared to defend against the attack. However, the Soviets have learned from their mistakes and this time have brought SA-6's along with the SA-8/13/15s and Shilkas. They have also timed their attack to coincide with remnant cloud layer from the storm several days prior that will force allied aircraft into the threat rings of those SAM systems. USAF crews have been flown into nearby Tiyas AFB and are capable of rearming and refueling aircraft. 555 Objectives CAS of advancing Soviet armor from the East. You will need to use LGBs or Mavs to stop them. 224 Objectives Primary: SEAD of SA-6 and to remain on station looking for mobile SA-8/13/15s Secondary: CAS of troops advancing from north. 492 Objectives Primary: Established air supremacy over Palmyra (CAP) Secondary. Find and Bomb artillery positions. Note: It would be useful to have a JTAC or someone coordinating ground strikes in this mission. A10s or Apaches could also do this.

Hi, I would like to see the Hornet with Weight on Wheels (taxing for example) bouncing a little more like the SU-25, or the Viper, because at the moment in my opinion it looks like it´s "glued" to the floor/deck. I would like too see the rear suspensions work more due to bumps on the taxiway/deck. Maybe it´s a WIP par with FM improvements. What´s your thoughts about this? Thank you. F.

Does anyone know how to increase the amount of G’s pulled before the wings break on the F/A-18C? I would like to mess around with this and see what’s possible
-
Does anyone know where the files are for radar performance? I have the CJS Super Hornet Mod, and in the .lua file for it, there is a line that reads: ' RADAR = "AN/APG-73" ' I believe this means the .lua finds this radar file to use in the super hornet. Where is the AN/APG-73 file located?

hi! Like in the F-5, I would love to see the sight camera available for other aircraft like the F16 and F18, 'tape to the hud' adding also the MFD recording as option if available on that aircraft, like in the F-18. Then also make it available externally on our saved games folder as movie file. Ideally having a datacard, save it there. I believe it will increase squadron debriefs quality, and help creating promotional/marketing videos for DCS as well. Also, not having it mandatory shown when flying could be an option, even if saving the file. Thanks for the passion and dedication Diplomat

For the "milsim enthusiasts", human crewed deck tractors, able to control elevators, necessary deck equipment, catapults, etc. A truly "live" carrier deck. The MP world of DCS would explode.

Operation Dragon's Perch - Sortie 2 "Chinese Invasion" Mission: China has attacked Guam to a devistating degree. They have taken key air fields on the island, and attempted to take Anderson AB. Tasking: Nickel (F16c) Primary role was to support Marines defending Anderson AB using Mavericks. Hellcat (F18c) Primary Role was to sink Type 071 and 056A corvettes supporting land operations. Dude (F15e) Primary Role was to strike an enemy fuel depot and air field. Gypsy (F14) Primary Role was CAP. Weather: Cloud base at 8k. Process: Nickel had difficulties managing sensors in the dense jungle, but killed almost all targeted tanks. Hellcat accomplished their mission and flexed over to help Nickel. Dude had difficulties using the F15's A/G radar to accurately find targets in the dense jungle. After a few attempts, they flexed over to the enemy airfield where they were able to drop their JDAMs with ease. Gypsy had some crazy engagements with J-11 and J-15s. Conclusion: It was a fun night. Some frustrations with systems and a few comedic errors, but everyone stayed flexible and ended the night on a good note.

So, I recently downloaded the CJS Superbug Super Hornet Mod. I know this mod runs off the existing F/A-18C files, so it shares the same characteristics. This should mean it shares the same RCS, turn rates, turn radius, acceleration, top speed, and radar strength. How can I change the RCS? Because the Super Hornet has increased radar stealth characteristics. Also, if I can increase radar strength as well that’d be wonderful. I’ve never done modding, and I’ve never messed with the game files before, so any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

I was making a custom livery for the F/A-18E Super Hornet (CJS Mod), and I finished the first dds file. When I exported it from GIMP and booted up DCS, it is just rendered as black. It was working before. I would periodically check the skin as I worked on it, but now it won't work. Someone, please help. I worked for at least 30 hours on this.

I don't think this is a bug but I'm not entirely sure; any troubleshoolting support/assistance is appreciated. All of the messages that typically display on the right below the Options menus are no longer visible and I'm unable to located a setting or information on how to reenable them. I even tryed dropping my entire saved-games folder to bring them back but they are still not visible. When I request a crate from the CTLD menu or ask for Bogey Dope, my wingmates see that I initiate the call but it doesn't display for me. This occurs in VR as well as flat single monitor view. I've never utilized multiple monitors so I doubt they are somehow displaying outside the main montitors x/y coordinates but wouldn't even know how to confirm. There are no other issues being displayed, the Option menu displays where it always has, the left side messages (mail) displays where and like it always has as well. I have the same situation in flat screen as well as VR, in a quick mission, or multiplayer. They don't work in UH-1, F-18, AH-64, or CH-47 but I know they functioned prior to installing the CH-47 module. I've scoured the great Internet and these forums but am not even sure what that message area is called so it is difficult to search. I'm sure this is a local issue since my collegue's function on the same MP server but I'm at a lose short of fully dropping and reinstalling DCS which is very time consuming. I've tried doing a repair and clean via the DCS Updator tool, reset LUA via the VoiceAttack, deleted the User\...\DCS folder and recreated

Hi everyone, Welcome to our new thread where we will be posting some of the action we get up to over at VAF - Virtual Air Fighters Squadron.

Hi, ED will we someday have the ability of open/close maintenance doors like the AH-64D module? it´s something on the table? Might be a small, or inexisent, detail for some but it will play a great part in my VR walkarounds before each flight. Thank you in advance and keep up, F.

Hi All, I believe this is my first time posting here so I hope I got to the right sub-forum! Anyhow, I've been playing DCS for a few years now and I absolutely love it. My problem is that the way I play is by generally finding a public server to hop onto like one of the 4YA servers and just do my own thing. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to find someone who wants to fly with me on there, but its hit and miss. So now I'm looking for a mil sim group to join and have fun with. Although I feel quite proficient with the F-18, and F-16 modules, I still feel like there's a bunch of stuff I need to learn. and I haven't even touched "proper" communications procedures, so I would need to learn that stuff, hence why I have stated that I am looking for a relaxed group. I'm all for going full immersion but I feel like I lack a fair bit of knowledge that some mil sim groups might expect from the start. So in an ideal world, I'd also like to have members willing and able to teach me how to better use modules. A little about me: Age: 25 Location: North West England Availability: Weekends, and some week day evenings DCS hours estimate: 500-1000h Owned Aircraft: F/A-18C (1st Choice), F-16C (2nd Choice), A-10C ii (Third Choice), F-15E, AV-8B, Spitfire, UH-1H Huey, AH-64D [Owned but never flown], Su-33 [Owned but never flown] Owned Maps: Syria, Persian Gulf Owned Miscellaneous Modules: Supercarrier So, if anyone has any suggestions to a group I'd be well suited to I'd love to hear Thanks, Coxie

Hi all, I think, if it´s possible with the engine that DCS currently has, that the animation of the Hornet landing, or even the Tomcat, the airframe shoult bounce more. I think the landing animation is always linear. Who´s with me? Thank you. Best regards, F.
