Our goal is to provide support to the UAE governments in fighting the growing insurgency on the peninsula. US, British, Canadian and French special forces are now on the ground, helping advise the UAE military in counter insurgency strategy. After landing and parking with directors, I shut down, started up and tried to get a relaunch. Chocks cannot be released and cannot taxi. I tried 'salute'; 'request launch'; ' remove wheel chocks'. Nothing works.

Link to the original thread: When the supercarrier is present on a mission, a pink marker appears on 52º28'04''S 59º10'29''W (where there is no carrer nor any other unit). It seems to appear always on this position no mather where the supercarrier is, or which aircraft you spawn into. Attached test mission with a supercarrier and a Harrier spawning on FOB San Carlos. If you F2 and scroll back high enough you can see the marker right after the start of the mission, it is ~60nm south of FOB San Carlos test1.miz

Hello there! To make deck spawning more realistic and more doable for larger multiplayer groups, it would be good to have spawning on the fantail and sixpack. We have a custom modification right now but it is prone to failure if ED updates the SC and needs to be reapplied after each update. We'd rather have an official change. It would give us apprx 5 more spots which greatly speeds up a depart cycle! Thanks, Rodge.

Hi, The deck crew asks me to sweep my wings back after I land my F-14 on CV-71 with the broken flaps, and the deck crew stays with the same command forever. Is it possible to release the deck crew so that I can park my plane and shut my engines for repairing? Thanks. ming

You may have seen some of the recent videos from my group when flying this mission. A mission we call "Into the Jungle". This is a MP Vietnam era mission using period proper aircraft on the Marianas Map. The mission has a focus on eliminating randomly generated VC troops in and around the lake area on the southern part of the Marianas map. The mission highlights the OH-6A Cayuse and A-4 Skyhawk and was originally put together in preparation for the F-4E (which is also in the mission). Also included are Hueys and F5s. I have been asked to post this mission from some of the folks who have watched the videos. I normally don't post missions with mods in them so be aware, this mission requires a few. You could always modify the mission and exclude anything you don't want, I suppose. The landing lights are not visible while on the glideslope at night inside of a mile from the boat. In F9 mode, you revolve around the carrier and the lights ARE visible from above. This is more pronounced in VR and in multiplayer. The first two shots are closer to the carrier the last one 3/4 roughly. Line up light on the back is visible no problem. as are the lights on the tower. nullnullnull

I've been using the SC with the harrier for years, but since the new deck crew option arrived when I try to re-arm I get a response "Cannot Comply". Tried several options, Hot / Cold start, Wheel Chocks Placed / Removed, parking Hot or take off from runway. This also affects the AH-64d. All units set to same coalition, Changed to a non super carrier and re-arm was possible. Works fine for F18 in the same mission Deck Crew on. Disabled the deck crew in special options and tried again, Re-Arm worked first time.

I did not trap on this pass. I did not get WO from LSO. I did my own WO. In fact, after ball call, I gor no LSO calls. I get this chronically. Supercarrier just does not show ball, no LSO WO, no LSO calls at all so I have no clue what to do , except go around. OK I am probably high, but the ball should show this to me, and LSO "YOU'RE HIGH" or similar. But I get none of that. I feel cheated. Like Pvt. Pyle in FMJ.

As above, I landed, parked, requested relaunch. Taxied following the directors, got confused with his gestures and nearly ran one over. Wheel chocks applied and cannot get them to release. Message when requested wheel chocks release - 'unable to comply'. Any ideas apart from respawn?

The new update is awesome and im loving the new plane directors, but Supercarrier has acquired a few bugs. First of all, IFLOLS has stopped working on Case III landings. I have repeatedly tried Case IIIs to test it, and I have noticed that: I. IFLOLS is quite simply off during most Case IIIs; II. On the occasions where it does actually turn on, it does so WAY TOO LATE, well under 1nm. At this kind of distance you might as well not bother turning it on. As anyone might imagine, this makes Case IIIs harder and is simply unrealistic. Also, I might be doing something wrong, but the Tomcat simply cannot go through cold starts on Supercarrier with the new deck crews. The initial "grape" that authorizes startup after the first salute does not react to the salute at all, and you also cant tell the crew chief to connect ground power or external air, making it impossible to start the Tomcat. Lastly, I dont know if I can even report this on the same topic, but I have noticed that on some missions you cant pre-edit the loadout on the mission planner before the mission. I noticed this when trying to play the "SC Cold Start" for the Hornet on the Caucasus map: every time I changed my flight's loadouts and skins and left the mission planner, it reset to default

DCS World Future Aircraft Carriers We see 2016 as a big year for aircraft carrier operations as we plan to release both Nimitz-class aircraft carrier and Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier modules. Both of these modules will be incredibly detailed models with working elevators, interior hanger bays, animated ship systems, and the ability to walk around inside the ships. These will be optional modules that would replace the existing ships currently in DCS World. Bye Phant

I have a sequential set of triggered launches from a Supercarrier at start: AWACS, Tanker, 4 Hornets and a few others. I want to spawn on the deck at start in my F-14B and be able to be enter the sequence myself. 1: The AWACS gets a AI Task Push Start at game start 2: Each aircraft after gets an AI Task Push Start once the prior aircraft clears 200 ft. (Btw what's a better way to have them queuing up before then?) 3: What I'm confused about RE the player aircraft is that the AI are set to 'Uncontrolled' to be able to be visible on deck and waiting on the AI Task Push Start 4: How do you put a player aircraft in the sequence without using 'Uncontrolled' or waiting on a late activation? This may be easier than I'm thinking it to be, but if not what's the best way to do this? I've been away from ME for a few years so I'm rusty on some things. Any help much appreciated!

I would imagine ED is aware of what the next level of immersion on the deck is, crew not just stationary, but kneeling, interaction with other crew (moving arms/hands as if communicating) moving between aircraft and work areas, driving tows/tractors, AI pilots entering exiting aircraft etc. The scripting is already there in the launch crew (great job btw). This would be a big step forward. Also some scripting templates to use in ME to populate the deck based on what type of tasks the mission you want to build needs and much more simple way to spawn aircraft in the parking spots preferred.

I built a sequential launch on the Supercarrier that uses a 1 sec late start for the player (to get the parking spots desired) and that works as intended and across the mission as a whole all other late activated units obey the order, but when starting on the carrier the SB-3 Tanker ignores late activation and starts immediately and begins moving from parking hot. I've tried 'time more', a flag, a moving zone, it ignores all. Also, why do some units not have the 'uncontrolled' option available? I prefer to use that and AI Task Push method as much as possible on carrier startup and am using that for 4 F-18's in same mission. Is ignoring late activation a known bug still? I googled first and saw mostly older posts about it. Am running the latest beta. RE the non-landing, I setup an E-2 to land as part of the sequence immersion and wanted him to land as the opening action and set him on course/altitude/speed and then added a 'land' waypoint, he approaches and turns off never to return. No aircraft are on a cat and landing runway is clear of even deck crew. I was hoping it was the E-2 mod, so I swapped it for the DCS E-2 and still same. Is this also a known bug? Later in mission when AI aircraft RTB they land fine. I just don't want to keep trying to make it work if so. Thanks for any ideas!

Is there any way I could set custom spawn points on the carriers in the same manor you can set "ground" spawns with jets and helicopters and place them on flat pieces of ground? It would save so much headache with struggling to get my squad mates spawned in nice and cleanly during our missions. I'm somewhat familiar with LUA so if it is possible with that, I am open to that solution as well! thanks!

Hello! I got back to Supercarrier with Tomcat and Hornet after a time. I made a more or less empty training mission (just airplane and the carrier). Just before I catch a wire - lets say 10ft above the deck the whole sim freezes for a few seconds... this is highly annoying and destroys every landing. I have zero stutters, lags or other performance problems in every other thinkable situation in DCS. I have zero lag when landing on an airbase in an crowded city, but out on the sea with just the airplane and the carrier it lags at the worst moment possible. This is no performance problem, this has to do with the Supercarrier module. What can I do about this? Thank you.- 10 replies

Syria and the Council of Nations are not willing to allow the dictatorship to have such a large arsenal. The border needs to be reinforced to protect Israel from a possible Syrian Invasion. Once the border is reinforced, we can start the push into Syria to remove the dictator from power. Damascus is heavily reinforced by his followers. Destroy factories and airfields. Frequencies can be found in your kneeboard. There are Easter Eggs in this server mission. Good luck finding them! Game Plan Reinforce the front line(indicated on map) Push the Syrian forces from the border Move into Syria and capture the Factories, Airfields, and strategic points Dwindle the Syrian forces until the supply is low enough for an attack on Damascus Assassinate the Dictator Persistence This server is persistent, constantly evolving campaign. What this means is, everything you do is kept on the server after a restart. Supply There is a finite amount of supply for both Syria and Israel. This means if you take off in a helicopter or a jet, and loose the aircraft that will no longer be in the supply However, there are factories across the map for resupply of Airframes, Fuel, Munitions, and troops. Don't forget that you will need to resupply the airfields and FARPS with the required munitions. Hi, I would like to see the Hornet with Weight on Wheels (taxing for example) bouncing a little more like the SU-25, or the Viper, because at the moment in my opinion it looks like it´s "glued" to the floor/deck. I would like too see the rear suspensions work more due to bumps on the taxiway/deck. Maybe it´s a WIP par with FM improvements. What´s your thoughts about this? Thank you. F.

Not sure where to post this, mods ... please move where appropriate. I have been using @Bankler Case I recovery trainer for months and thought I was making improvements. I can fairly consistently score in the 60's. Unfortunately I must have done something to tick off my LSO officers because it seems like I can't get anything but a CUT PASS from them! I am posting two tracks for the community to check out. One scored 65 on Bankler's training and the other 66. Both received Cut passes from the LSO. Can someone more wise than me PLEASE tell me what I am doing "unsafe with unacceptable deviations"? I very much appreciate any help the community can provide. Thanks!
