The TGP sometimes changes brightness (or maybe gain or contrast, but the image gets darker) when switching between MFD pages on that MFD. It happens reliably (for me) when first starting a mission. It happens in TV, BHOT and WHOT modes. This occurs in VR, 2D, offline and multiplayer. Steps to reproduce: | start Caucasus Free Flight Main menu -> Instant Action -> F-16C Free Flight in Caucasus -> FLY | TGP Contrast up Press right MFD "TGP" [RIGHT MFD OSB 12] -> press right MFD Contrast Up/increase => This increases visual brightness of the screen, pressing Contrast Up again decreases visual brightness , I'm pretty sure this is already a manifestation of the bug | For obvious effect of the bug, increase contrast about 5 or 6 times total Switch right MFD to some other page, i.e. HSD -> switch right MFD back to TGP => TGP is now noticably darker Pressing Contrast up or down "resets" the brightness to the "correct" value again (pressing contrast increase brightens the image, pressing again darkens, as stated before) video_2025-03-26_20-12-53.mp4 Here's a short video demonstrating the problem. Note the brightness decrease after switching to HSD and back to TGP once at the start of the video. Before taking this video I did: load free flight -> press contrast increase 1 time

Hi guys, im looking for some pilots to build iranian airforce in DSC World. I prefer to have some iranian pilots here to have it original as possible. But you can also try it as none persian pilot. Lets see The History of IRIAF with the excellent american fighters like F-14A, F-5 Tiger II and F4E-Phantom II in Iran-Iraq war is well known, which is already exist in DCS World with IRIAF-Paintings. I try to make a squadron with F-16C Viper (As fictional IRIAF-Aircraft) and maybe later i could go with the original IRIAF-Aircrafts like F-4Es and Tomcats to rebuild the Iran-Iraq theater of war (1980-1988). I hope that one day we have Iran and Iraq in one Map to rebuild it properly. Interesting? Then click the link to make it happen My Discord link: https://discord.com/channels/1374619553547419658/1374622255677706272 best regards

This is really annoying!!! I have noticed the F-16C's external tanks, both wing and centerline, to not refuel while selecting the new fuel state in the ground service panel. The only way around this is deload the tanks off the aircraft, and reload them back onto the aircraft having to use the ground panel 2 times. Is this a bug or intentional? I personally don't feel the fuel slider should only be connected to the fuel state in the external tanks. Thanks

Thank you so much Eagle Dynamics! Now I can read Harm radar codes on my knee without using RIGHT SHIFT + K kneeboard key combination.

Buonasera a tutti. Grazie anticipate, e starsi bene tutti. J.

untilSuccessful attacks on Soviet logistics including the port of Latakia and the train depot at Raqqa have hampered their advance. At long last they have organized their forces to launch an attack against Palmyra and its oil fields, the main target of their forces. Soviet troops are attacking over the mountains north of Palmyra, but the main thrust of their attack is a large tank force from the East from Deir ez-Zur. They have heavily shelled from the mountains to the North of Palmyra damaging much of the city including the ancient Roman monuments. Unlike in Deir-ez Zur, Syrian troops have been mobilized in large numbers and are prepared to defend against the attack. However, the Soviets have learned from their mistakes and this time have brought SA-6's along with the SA-8/13/15s and Shilkas. They have also timed their attack to coincide with remnant cloud layer from the storm several days prior that will force allied aircraft into the threat rings of those SAM systems. USAF crews have been flown into nearby Tiyas AFB and are capable of rearming and refueling aircraft. 555 Objectives CAS of advancing Soviet armor from the East. You will need to use LGBs or Mavs to stop them. 224 Objectives Primary: SEAD of SA-6 and to remain on station looking for mobile SA-8/13/15s Secondary: CAS of troops advancing from north. 492 Objectives Primary: Established air supremacy over Palmyra (CAP) Secondary. Find and Bomb artillery positions. Note: It would be useful to have a JTAC or someone coordinating ground strikes in this mission. A10s or Apaches could also do this.

Hello guys Thank you for the great patch however I noticed something I'm not sure if its a bug or its me doing something wrong but when locking a SAM on HAD page while having MAV in PRE mode the WPN page delivery mode will switch to HTS mode however it does not slave to the target location and no TMS functions as WPN page being SOI are functional Viper HTS test.trk

Hey there, I'm writing this post, as I thought some newer users may appreciate it, or a sort of PSA if you will. The learning curve involved with DCS, as well as learning your aircraft of choice is a massive task to undertake. As much as it is inspiring to watch a DCS YouTuber effortlessly dogfight your favourite plane or dodging SAMs, it is also quite daunting learning how to get to that same point of skill. Perhaps you've found yourself mixing your training between haphazardly referring to the manuals, scouring forums, and YouTube videos. You're getting to the point in which you've played most of the instant action scenarios and some of the free missions, and feel like you need to take it further; and the option of multiplayer seems more attractive. However, unlike dogfighting against computers, you're operating alongside(or perhaps against) humans, which can feel like a quantum shift. You may be considering online squadrons, but nervous about your skill level in relation to theirs. Believe me when I say this, the vast majority of squadrons love to have more people share in their hobby, and take great pride in training people up. The great advantage of multiplayer, and by extension online squadrons, is the added value of learning, community, and most importantly immersion. When I first considered multiplayer, I was quite apprehensive, but once I joined I never looked back, and my flight simulation hobby is vastly enriched because of it. Learning: This can be a sticking point for newer people, since they feel that they aren't adequately experienced, or not good enough for an online group. This may be counter-intuitive, but in some scenarios, being less knowledgeable and joining a squadron to learn can be better. Ultimately while you're in single player, you don't know what you don't know, whereas when you train with other people, they can immediately identify what you need to learn, or what's not going right. Most DCS modules are extremely complex, and frankly the learning process for all of us never ends; we're all just at different points in that journey. As a newer user, you will massively benefit yourself to join a squadron as they can tailor your training requirements. Additionally, many instructors enjoy teaching, and it further enriches their hobby. The core note here is that you won't be burdening anyone from whatever experience level you're starting from, and most instructors love to teach anyway. Community: This may seem marginally obvious, but actually having people to share in your hobby is great. Flight simulation, let alone the DCS community is quite niche, it's not like you can easily have fellow hobbyists down the road. Instead communities are globalised over the internet as we're all spread few and far in between. Thanks to platforms like Discord, the value of community within a flying group is far greater in which you can jump in and talk to your fellow squadron mates seamlessly. Since I've been part of DCAF, I have made some great friends, and I enjoy being able to share my hobby with likeminded people. Immersion: At the end of the day, the value of flying with other humans rather than AI can't be understated. Whether flying with a human RIO or operating as a flight(or both!), the immersion offered is unparalleled. I'm still always impressed when I'm part of a flight of four in parade formation, as we all collectively work together. Or when you all go into a mission, splash some bandits and return to the carrier, the sense of achievement at the end of it is exceptional, because you all had to work together and thoroughly plan what you were going to do, and reaped the rewards of it. I often find going back to single player scenarios feel rigid and too 'sterile' now, since the only human component is yourself. Like what I was saying over learning and community, flying as part of a group fundamentally enriches the hobby. If you're still unsure, feel free to contact myself either here (or Discord), as well as some newer members who fly with me. This can be a good opportunity to scope out what it's like to join a flying group. We're all part of DCAF(Digital Coalition Air Force): Me: Panny#2973 Vak(halfway through training on the F-14): Aisxos#8894 Deivid(also in training on the F-14): Deivid#3419 Brody(recently finished training and is a line pilot): brodyzach#1944 You can also visit our Discord should you wish: https://discord.gg/RrzuvXXd9M Otherwise, if you're interested in my group, I fly with DCAF(Digital Coalition Air Force) as an F-14 instructor, and would love to help more guys out. We also have F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18C Hornet and AV-8B squadrons, who will be delighted to take on more people. You can read about us here: And here: https://dcafoc.wixsite.com/home Or jump onto our Discord!: https://discord.gg/RrzuvXXd9M I hope for those entering on their journey with DCS, this post can at least alleviate a few concerns about the online paradigm. Cheers, Peter

Hi. On the mission night life the ins alignment is interrupted by other jets taking of on the runway while the viper is parked on the parking lot. The jet is actually moved a little as well. This seems excessive. I have experienced this on other missions in multi-player as well. According to other players the wheel chucks don't help preventing this, but I haven't tested it.

After last update I had problems with caution lights in my cockpit. As I checked in Control Reference their codes has changed E.g: DcsBios::LED lightMainGen(0x4476, 0x0020, 12); (Before) DcsBios::LED lightMainGen(0x447a, 0x0002, 12); (Now) This small diffrences made my lights completly usless. After changes in codes they are working. I saw that my segment display is not working with code that was fine before, so I checed strings, and they are diffrents too. E.g: DcsBios::StringBuffer<7> uhfFreqDispBuffer(0x4590, onUhfFreqDispChange); (Before) DcsBios::StringBuffer<7> uhfFreqDispBuffer(0x45a8, onUhfFreqDispChange); (Now) Anyone of you had same problems as me? Is there are any other thigns I should know?

Hi all: I have experienced constant crash on each time around 5 mins of game play.(if you see my record it has been for several month already.) The DCS world program just hang then back to Windows 10. It could happen at any moment, during the fight, landing, parking, or just flying. I have a complete brand new Windows 10 installation, brand new DCS installation(with customized airplane skins only). I have turned off the weather, I have run DCS world as administrator, I have switched to default skin, I have installed all c++ runtime I can find(2005~). I even already renewed my CPU motherboard and SSD as the latest one. Please see the log for my current equipment detail, in short I am using AMD R7 5600, 32G DDR4, M2 512G SSD(DCS world is in drive C along with widnows), RTX2070 + 8G graphic memory windows 10 thrustmaster T16000M. Highly appreciate for your help. Kindly point out for me if there is answer already I have tried but can't find.

Hi, In my humble sugestion our Viper needs a little weight on the tyres like the Hornet for example. Actually the Viper looks it is "floating" and not in the ground with weight on wheels. Thank you in advance, F.

hi! Like in the F-5, I would love to see the sight camera available for other aircraft like the F16 and F18, 'tape to the hud' adding also the MFD recording as option if available on that aircraft, like in the F-18. Then also make it available externally on our saved games folder as movie file. Ideally having a datacard, save it there. I believe it will increase squadron debriefs quality, and help creating promotional/marketing videos for DCS as well. Also, not having it mandatory shown when flying could be an option, even if saving the file. Thanks for the passion and dedication Diplomat

We have an M5.2 Tape F-16. However, we don't have many features. So, I would like to list the features not in the M5.2 in the M6.2 Viper which DCS could make: Improved IFF system (Mode 5 waveform with better distinction between friendly and enemy aircraft, maybe unclassified) Introduction of AIM-120D missile (two-way datalink, improved navigation and High-Angle Off-Boresight capabilities, a doubled range, but not necessary for DCS) Introduction of more advanced A/G weapons (GBU-39 SDB, GBU-54 LJDAM, unclassified) Integration of improved Link-16 functions with net-centric capability (UI Probably, likely unclassified) Integration of a new Universal Armament Interface to standardize communication between the aircraft and the weapons, illuminating the need for new OPF tapes with every new weapon system (UI again, probably unclassified) "Clean-up" tape (intended as correction to imperfections found in earlier phases, which are just bug fixes so nothing classified) Included minor updates like Auto GCAS capability nearly eliminating Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT) accidents, a leading cause of F-16 loss of pilot and aircraft accidents. This is probably unclassified. I might be wrong about some things, but I would like to make a feature request: I hope we can add as many of the unclassified features as possible. Thank you.

A new mission is available on the users files: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315288/ Iran and China have entered an alliance of mutual support which has bolstered Iran's influence in the Persian Gulf. As a result tensions between this alliance and the US and Europe escalated to the point of war. This mission is set early in the conflict and involves providing CAP for ground attack flights. Fly a F-16C 4 ship armed for air to air into Iran and prevent red fighters from interfering with blue strike groups. Red forces are randomized as are some blue forces for replayability. DCS version 2.5.6 (stable) Please report any issue or bugs to my by PM, thanks.
